Error in ReceiveFax with T.38 -- Asterisk 1.6.0.7-rc2
Hello,
In my scenario, the asterisk machine is installed behind a CISCO
mediaGW in order to be able communicate with the PSTN. Asterisk is
configured to use T.38 to send and receive faxes.
I'm trying to receive a fax from a fax machine located in the PSTN.
Apparently everything goes well: the fax machine says the transmission
was successfully completed, and the fax file is successfully

No application 'ReceiveFAX'
Hi!
Have probably not understand how fax is working in Asterisk 1.6.
I did install:
ptlib-v1_12_0
h323plus-v1_19_7
dahdi-linux-complete-2.2.0.2+2.2.0
spandsp-0.0.5
asterisk-1.6.2
asterisk-addons-1.6.2
make menuselect in asterisk-1.6.2 source directory shows: [*] app_fax
But "core show applications" doesnt show me any "fax applications" and
when I try to receive a fax:

All,
Im having a problem with ReceiveFax where its generating a ton of these messages the entire time the receivefax app is running receiving my fax.
[Apr 7 22:16:06] ERROR[26918]: channel.c:2520 __ast_read: ast_read() called with no recorded file descriptor.
Im running on Centos 5.2 with all patches.

I am seeing on my logs this message:

Silly (??) question about chan_dahdi
Hi,
these are my first steps with DAHDI and I finally managed to get
asterisk to load chan_dahdi (after I found out, that I need libpri).
But how do I tell chan_dahdi on which isdn numbers it should react? I
haven't found a parameter like "incomingmsn" for chan_capi in the
documentation.

Is it possible to get full callin number from E1?
Hi all
i have just set up a asterisk in china, using DE410P and one E1 line
and get a phone number like: +86 020 87654321 from my sp
when somebody dial +86 020 87654321 , the asterisk will get the call in number by ${EXTEN} variable, but it can only get 87654321, no area code .
when someone dial +86 020 87654321xxxx , xxxx means 4 digits, the phone can call in, and the

Belgian BRI (euroisdn): what to use for a B410P
Hi,
I'm experiencing difficulties to get a B410P running with Asterisk
10.3.1 and DAHDI 2.6.1.
Am I supposed to use DAHDI for this card and ISDN BRI for my country
(Belgium)?

Detected alarm on channel 3: Red Alarm
Hi everyone!
I have a Digium Card TDM410
But, it appear for me this massege
chan_dahdi.c:8061 handle_alarms: Detected alarm on channel 3: Red Alarm
But my line is ok!
But sometimes it back
sig_analog.c:3807 analog_handle_init_event: Alarm cleared on channel 2
But it again back to red alarm.
What can be happen?
My lines is all ok! But when I put on Digium Card TDM410 is very inconsistent

AGI script dies after receivefax
Hi all,
I've got a perl agi script that exec()'s the FFA version of receivefax to...
receive a fax.
However, after the fax is received, the script seems to die.
This is what I have:

iaxmodem to ReceiveFAX crashes Asterisk equipped with B410P

I'm sending twice the same file using Hylafax's sendfax app.
The first time I'm "dialing" a DID attached to the ReceiveFAX application.
The second time I'm dialing an internal extension attached to the same
ReceiveFAX application :

ReceiveFAX problem
hi,
today i upgraded from asterisk 1.4.21 to 1.6.2.9 (i know this release is
not supported anymore, please don't tell me to upgrade).
unfortunately now i can't use the rxfax() application anymore. i tried
to use ReceiveFAX() the way i used to use rxfax() (multiple dedicated
fax extensions getting their faxes from isdn via zaptel/dahdi), but this
doesn't work.

Asterisk 11 on Raspbian2. ReceiveFAX/SendFAX fails
Hi,
On a new Raspberry2 with Asterisk 11.13.1 binary-installed, ReceiveFAX
exits with FAILED status.
Each attempt is made with something like:
channel originate Local/12345 at faxgateway application SendFAX myfile.tif
I'm not sure if failure "mostly" comes from SendFAX or from ReceiveFAX but
it fails with 100% rate.
uname -a output is:

1.6.0.10: core restart on ReceiveFax()
For our internal fax machines, I'm checking if the faxes are going to
branch offices. If they are, I want to capture and email them to the
branches. I've set up extension 8447 to test this.
A fax machines is connected via an SPA 2102 on 173. Any calls from 173
are sent to:

Problems with ReceiveFAX (asterisk 1.6.0.3 and t38)
Hello users,
have been facing problems with t38 passthrough using
asterisk 1.6.0.3.
observed also that in case of SendFAX we are not having
major issues, its almost successfull.
ReceiveFAX has problems most of the time.
we have been using a ringcentral account for testing this
receivefax.
so ringcentral is trying for 3 times if the sending fax failed for
the first time.

ReceiveFAX G.711 + Realtime
Hello,
We're trying to receive G.711 (aLaw) faxes on the asterisk and convert
them to tif. With T.38, we have several issues, so we are trying to use
G.711, since the gateway is located in the same LAN, so there's no
bandwidth/packet-lose issue.
We also use on the same Asterisk Real-Time process for the extensions.conf

ReceiveFax
Hi all,
I realize that the application Receivefax can't handle with more than one fax at the same time. In a environment with a lot of fax, some caller get the signal but the operation can't be completed. Is there a way to send busy tone to the second caller?
