Bad display glitches with Ultima Online
I'm having trouble getting Ultima Online to work on my system. I installed from the Age of Shadows CD and patched from there. It installed fine, patched up ok, but when it loads the actual game my display goes utterly haywire. I'm getting 2 badly distorted mini UO screens and it looks like someone randomised the pixels on half my screen. When I move the mouse around I can move said

Running application gives EAccessViolation in module
I'm running a private Windows executable that I know to have been created in Delphi (if that means anything). It's something my company developed.
I've now started taking to running on Linux at home and thought rather than having to boot into Windows to do work that I might try to run some of these things under Wine.
When I run the executable with Wine, I get:

'Setup cannot find necessary files' message
Running Wine 1.0.1 in Ubuntu 9.10, trying to install FileMaker Pro 9 from CD. (Install from this CD works fine on Windows machine.)
'Setup cannot find necessary files' message appears when launching setup.exe with Wine.
WINEDEBUG=+loaddll on setup.exe gives the output below; looks like all needed .dlls are there.
Same problem reported on Ubuntu forums earlier in 2009 by another user:

Wine and USB scanner access ?
Hi,
I'm using latest Wine (20050310) with Debian sid (kernel 2.6.11).
I own an USB 1.1 scanner : Agfa SnapScan 1212U.
I successfully installed ScanWise software provided by the vendor (2.0.0.9 version) but when I
launch it, it behaves as if the scanner's light wasn't on, or it was unplugged : it asks for me to
connect the scanner.
Below is the debugging info. I also tried to

Problem running BBC Doctor Who game in Linux Mint Debian
Hi,
I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 Laptop running 64bit Linux Mint Debian Edition 201109.
The laptop has ATI Radeon M92 (HD 4500 / 5000) graphics.
This is based on Debian testing and because at present there is no WINE in the testing repositories, I have installed 1.3.30 from:
http://frickelplatz.de/debian/
This seems to work fine: I can run LTspiceIV perfectly.
However ...

Wayne and twin
Hi,
I haven't seen recent information on wine and twain.
I already sent a similar mail to wine-users and, in a second step to
wine-devel, but without any information back until now.
May be the trick "Wine and twain" to "Wayne and twin" will give me more
chance to be listen. Or may be my question is really stupid?
