Kernel panic (asterisk 1.8.0-rc3, dahdi-linux-2.4)
Hi,
I setup an asterisk system (asterisk 1.8-rc3, dahdi-linux-2.4.0 with
dahdi-extra from Tzafrirs git, kernel 2.6.35.4). The hardware is an
older pc system with Celeron CPU (2.5 GHz) with a Beronet BN4S0 ISDN
card. The system starts without any errors.
I discovered a severe issue. The kernel panics on a very small load. The
first call normally gets through. If I start the second or third call

DAHDI or Zaptel doesn't compile against 1.4.24
Hi,
We installed the latest 1.4.24 on a test machine and can't get zaptel
nor dahdi compile. It's a Linux Debian Etch. Errors we have:

oslec + dahdi
Hi list, I install dahdi-linux successfully with the module of oslec
for the echo, but when I specify it in the system.conf the echo
canceller oslec it shows me errors:
DAHDI_ATTACH_ECHOCAN failed on channel 4: Invalid argument (22)
I see that the echo cancellers is supported: mg2, kb1, sec2, and sec
because oslec is not supported?, but he has support to compile it with
dahdi_linux!

New CentOS 5 repo: dahdi, asterisk, freepbx RPMs
Dear list,
I've set up an RPM repository with several asterisk-related RPMs that I
think contain some improvements upon what are already out there. The
first goal is to be able to build an Asterisk + FreePBX system on CentOS
5 with the EPEL repo enabled; in our environment, where all our systems
are under configuration management, either an appliance-type solution or
a manual

Wine and FreeTel
Hi there
I just tried running Freetel with wine
does anyone have this working?
Freetel breaks with a message: "Cannot bind socket"
i wonder if this has anything to do with using a non-TCP
protocol
it would be very nice to get this working 'cos there do not
seem to be any good linux web phone apps that can talk
to people with windows machines.

DAHDI-linux 2.7 compile error with CONFIG_DAHDI_NET enabled
Not sure how I should officially report this, but I'm getting a compile
error with DAHDI-linux 2.7 when I define CONFIG_DAHDI_NET in
include/dahdi/dahdi_config.h. I am able to compile successfully when I
leave it undefined, but I need to be able to use the network support.

error compile dahdi with latest kernels.
hello, all of users:
there are header files missed when you compile dahdi with kernel-2.6.29 or 2.6.33. i believe
that few files are affected: wctdm.c dahdi-base.c wcb4xxp/base.c, opvxa1200.c...
the errors look like these:

Cross compiling Asterisk, Dahdi..
Is there a proper, documented way to cross compile DAHDI and Asterisk for
a processor/system other than the one you're currently typing on?
Now.. I have been doing this for some time, but it's been really
frustrating every time I change/upgrade, etc.
I've just tried to compile DAHDI for an AMD Geode system on my development
system which is Intel Atom. Building the kernel is easy -

Digium PRI cards for data usage?
Greetings- I'm wondering if the Digium PRI cards can be used for data (Cisco HDLC, PPP, etc) or if they're for voice circuits only. I haven't been able to find any information on this. All documentation direct from Digium seems to indicate their hardware is for voice applications only. Sangoma's cards work in either voice or data mode but of course this is configured in their

wanpipe and digium, oslec and hardware echo canceller
Hello All;
Wanpipe is working only with sangoma cards so it does not work with digium cards?
Also, who is better: to have echo canceler built in with the hardware or using olsec?
Regards

How best to add OSLEC support into dahdi ?
Hi,
I'm used to add OSLEC source code into asterisk and use it as default echo
canceller.
Currently, I'm proceeding this way:
download the kernel source code roughly matching the kernel version I'm
targeting with command such as "wget
http://kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v3.0/linux-3.2.46.tar.bz2"
copy the echo subtree into dahdi
change dahdi's Kbuild file (for dahdi

Hi,
I was install OSLEC yesterday and my problems with echo are all solved. But
now all my calls have a big noise at background.
I was try change some filters in oslec-ctrl-panel.sh, but it don't save
nothing who I do.
Does anyone had the same problem?

Selecting OSLEC for zaptel-1.4.6
Hello list,
Can someone outline the steps for selecting OSLEC canceller in 1.4.6? I
know there was a bug fix for this but I can't figure out how to select
it.
Thanks
