Editplus bug?
As this is my first post here, I'd like to thank you all for your hard work on Wine. It's great having CS2 working so well. I just installed Editplus in wine and have noticed an issue int he syntax highlighting. An opening quote changes the text color and closing it ends the syntax highlight. However opening a quote and hitting return also ends the syntax highlighting even if the quote

how to stop cursor blinking in wine GUI
Hi all wine users and developers, I have a touch question which I have been searching answers for quite a long time to configure wine but still have not solved yet. Wine is the only Windows program simulator running in Linux which I use, however one thing annoying me is that currently the cursor is always blinking in the GUI. For example, the editplus running in wine. Something it really drives

less strange behavior
Have encountered a (rather minor but puzzling and annoying) problem with "less" that I can reproduce on multiple CentOS4 boxes. Only seems to be a problem for a root login on a VC. Here's the scenario: 1) Login as root on a VC. 2) Type "less /etc/printcap" or any other text file. 3) less hangs until Ctrl-C is typed, then displays the file. If a gzipped file is tried,

Strange behavior in X, esp. VMWare Windows
Last Thursday, for some reason (possibly a power failure), my work desktop had a different video configuration than when I left Wednesday evening. I have two 17" flat panels configured as a two-head wide (side-by-side) single display. When I arrived on Thu, I had two individual desktops instead, the resolution was down to 800x600, and so on. The monitor type had been reset to generic

Strange window behavior
I run several programs under Wine. Specifically, I'm running the win32 half-life server, hlds.exe, and the program TotalCommander, a windows file manager program. If I try to minimze either of these programs, they minimize and immediately pop back up again. Is there a way to stop this from happening so that when I minimze them, they minimize and stay minimized? -------------- next part

strange behavior maybe dependent on valid users
Hi! My problem: I have a network with many workgroups and my samba server 3.0alpha21cvs is the only member of one of that workgroups. If I went to the network neighborhood and tried to open the workgroup of my samba server I got an error message saying that the workgroup "mygroup" was not available. So I minimized the settings in the global section of my smb.conf and I was able to

[Tip] Rails 1.1 / Ruby 1.8.4 - Fixing Syntax Errors on Windows
Hello All ~ As suggested I upgraded Ruby to 1.8.4 along with Rails. My Linux boxes have been running 1.8.4 and haven''t complained about my source. On the Windows version however, if you start to see errors like: Invalid char `\002'' in expression parse error, unexpected tIDENTIFIER, expecting kEND Go through your code and replace your tabs with spaces. I use EditPlus and

Ajax.Updater doesn't work with IE6 properly
My environment is Apache2+php5. The test doc is "ajaxtest.php", which uses Ajax.Updater to load content from /test/test1/inphp.php. It works soomthly in Firefox. But nothing can be displayed in IE6, the brower got no response and the onComplete was not trigered. However, if I put the two doc under the same dir, everything goes well. Or, if I replace the inphp.php with a html doc such as

Strange behavior of b151a and .zfs directory
Hello, after upgrade to Sol11Express I''ve noticed kind of strange behavior of .zfs directory of any ZFS filesystem. Go into the .zfs directory and type `find . -type f'' for the first time after you''ve mounted the file-system. It''ll show nothing. Type it second time and you will get expected list of files from all the snapshots. Is this expected or is it a bug? I

Strange behavior with file/directory permissions.
I am experiencing some odd behavior with a SAMBA server running on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 system. Users are authenticating against a Windows domain, and then connecting to their home directory shares, defined as: [homes] comment = Home Directories hide unreadable = Yes valid users = %S read only = No create mask = 0664 directory mask = 0775

Proxy support ?
Hi, Some programs, which requires network, do not support proxy mechanism such as SOCKS5. There is a tool called proxychains (http://proxychains.sf.net) which provides us to redirect all of the network traffic to a defined server can be SOCKS4, 5, or others. For instance, I can use proxychains wget http://www.google.com to download the homepage of google if I am behind the proxy. This is quiet

Strange behavior from OO Writer
I just had the strangest experience I can remember since I ran Windowsas my base OS.... Yesterday I was editing a file in the OO Writer (word processor). Today, it will not open. I copied it to a new file, and it opened fine. I edited it, updated it and closed it. Then I tried deleting the original file and copying the new one to the old name. Won't open. Renamed again, and it opens
