WINE on FreeBSD: StarCraft 'stuttering'
Hello list and FreeBSD maintainer,
I -really- appreciate the fact that the major threading issues with FreeBSD
and WINE have been resolved. I'd hate to see FreeBSD lose an application with
such great potential.
Anyway, I've recently taken an interest in WINE for use with gaming on FreeBSD
(once again). I managed to get StarCraft installed with it and running.
However, there's a

Starcraft Patch
I've done some work getting the patches from
http://starcraft-wine.sourceforge.net/ working with CVS wine. Using the
patch I'm including, starcraft works perfectly on my machine, run as
root using DGA on a 640x480 XF86 layout.
In particular the changes to event.c enable the mouse and keyboard with
DGA. The changes to input.c make the mouse acceleration work the same
in all directions.

Starcraft 2 MOUSE problem
Hi, and thanks for taking your time to read this.
I recently installed Starcraft II using play on linux. The game is running perfectly and smoothly, but I have a problem with the mouse. In the games menus the cursor seems to be completely unsynchronized with where the mouse should be. For example I can see buttons glow as if I were hovering over them when my cursor is in a completely different

Mouse cursor problems in Windows DomU after installing ATI-driver fglrx to X11
Hallo,
I run Xen 3.0.4.1 on Ubuntu 6.06 with Gnome desktop. I can start
Windows as DomU without problems, everything works fine (w2k server32 bit or
w2k3 server 64 bit).
Because I use the notebook HP nx9420 which has a wide screen, I
installed into X11 the driver fglrx which supports the given resolution mode
1680x1050.
Now, with the new driver The Gnome

Starcraft 2 moving camera prob
He guys, Starcraft is running fine but I can't move the camera properly because the mouse goes past the screen on the bottom and right side and if I move th mouse too far it doesn't move the camera. The top and left side are a pain too because if I move it to the very edge it starcraft doesn't see the mouse and the cursor. :|
Is there a way to fix this? I'll try to create a video.

Starcraft II on OpenSUSE 12.1 installing but not startin
Im running Opensuse 12.1 64 bit with KDE 4.8.2 installed.
I've tried both the basic wine install as well as installing through crossover. The game installs fine after I downloaded the online version install, but after it shows 100% installed and I hit next, it briefly shows the update screen and then seemingly crashes. Afterwards, when I click to run Starcraft II it just shows the waiting

Starcraft Problems
Recently when I've been trying to run starcraft I've been getting
fixme:console:SetConsoleCtrlHandler (0x4c70c0,1) - no error checking or
testing yet
Then the mouse cursor vanishes and X stops responding. I can still drop
to a virtual terminal and do killall wine which results in the following
being spewed to the terminal.

Various hitches in Starcraft.
Hi everyone,
I have been experiencing a latency problem in Starcraft and found it is
related in good part to the nice level I was giving to wine. The game is
very choppy when ran with nice -20. I also find it choppy at normal
priority. It seems to run well at -15 and higher (towards 0). That's good
news. I've been playing quite happily since.
I still find the cursor slightly sluggish. I

LAN games no longer working in Starcraft
My nephew was home last night and I couldn't play Starcraft with him
because selecting UDP or IPX LAN games no longer works. When they're
selected, a message box appears saying:
Unable to initialize network provider
I had the same issue in 0.9.11, 0.9.12, 0.9.13. I was able to play
multiplayer LAN games previously, but I'm unable to say what version I
was using at that time.
I first

Dune 2000 - no keyboard response - good rendering speed
Hi,
I've installed Dune 2000 and the 1.06 patch in Wine, and it runs very well,
except that it doesn't accept keyboard input. It wasn't any better without the
patch. The entry at the appdb doesn't mention anything about it. Does anybody
know how to fix it?
I've already tried changing all the settings on the "graphics" tab
in "winecfg". Half-Life, for

fullscreen uses panning, and xrandr has cursor moving
I'm having a problem with games running in wine fullscreen with nvidia proprietary driver 185.18 under Fedora 11 64-bit.
My desktop resolution is 1920x1200, and when I run a game with 1280x960 fullscreen setup (like Halo for example), it changes resolution to 1280x960 and runs fullscreen as expected, but when I move the mouse toward the edge rapidly, it pans the game screen away as if

Starcraft & Keyboard Problems
I'm sorry if this is a re-post - I switched news servers and it's not
showing up on the new one. Here goes:
I'm trying to run Starcraft fullscreen using xinit:
xinit /usr/bin/wine ./starcraft.exe -- /usr/X11R6/bin/X :1 -screen Starcraft
This runs SC in full-screen mode, no window manager, a separate X
server, DGA-enabled, the whole 9 yards. Starcraft starts and looks
great.

More Starcraft IPX issues
Wine is : 20010216
Distro is : RH7 w/ all the latest patches
Starcraft works beautifully (but only as root does DGA work :o( ), /except/:
Running network games (which requires IPX) work perfectly, but only on
LAN, i.e., on a setup w/ eth0 and lo, a network game will only work if
ipx_interface add -p eth0 802.3 0x12345678
Under these conditions I can play, no problem. But, this doesn't

starcraft install wierdness.
I know, Starcraft has been covered much, but I still cannot make
starcraft complete its installation. The installation halts while
adding shortcuts to the start menu. As someone (Ove I believe)
mentioned, Starcraft adds certain registry keys after creating
shortcuts, requiring the installation to continue.
I have modified wineshelllink in order to gain some insight:

Mouse Cursor drifts in some directx games
Hello,
I am currently attempting to run some windows games through wine, specifically Fable - The Lost Chapters and The Elder Scrolls III - Morrowind and I am experiencing problems with my cursor drifting during game play.
When I start the game (as soon as the menu screen) the mouse is initially stable, but after I move the mouse it will begin to drift vertically down at a constant speed

Re: [1.2]StarCraft 2 - Very Slow On Good Computer?
Why is this notable? For one thing(Buy WOW Gold (http://www.zyy.com/)), world PVP is going to be a whole lot of fun in Vashj'ir. It'll be tricky, and you'll need to watch not just your back or what's up top, but also what's below. It's interesting(Buy WOW Gold (http://www.shinywowgold.com/)), too, because I think there's a huge potential for the (RuneScape Gold
