Question about nv40_draw_array
Hi, My name is Krzysztof and currently I'm working on porting nouveau (gallium3d driver + libdrm + drm) to AROS Research OS (http://www.aros.org). I completed a quite successful port of "old" drm (one from libdrm git - now removed) and currently I'm working on drm port from the nouveau kernel tree git. Right now I'm faced with rather peculiar memory allocation/access

Open Source in an Economic Downturn: Asterisk stories needed
I'm giving a talk at SCALE 2009 (Southern CAlifornia Linux Expo) on Sunday in Los Angeles, and the topic of my talk is "Open Source in an Economic Downturn". I've got lots of talking points for this talk, but it would be interesting to hear some short anecdotes about how you in the Asterisk community are thriving, or at least surviving, by virtue of the benefits of

xvm no go
Hello all. We''re a pretty traditional old school sun shop w/a few dozen sun boxes from 1999-2004. We''re doing a try and buy on a sun blade 6000 with a couple of 6250 intel blades and a 6320 blade, looking to use multiple chassis to do a consolidation, using ldoms and xvm server with xvm ops center to manage it all. At least that''s our forward looking plan.... to move

I had my asterisk configuration working very well with broadvoice, but it stopped working this afternoon. I plugged the Cisco 7960 phone I used for my origional signup (just a few days before they offered generic BYOD) and it works fine. I did notice it seems to do all of its comunication through proxy.broadvoice.com (I used tcpdump). I have never contacted broadvoice about using asterisk

Block Coding Pattern
Hi, There seem to be 2 sets of block coding patterns in the VP3x/Theora algorithm. Based on the comments in the code, the first pattern is used if encoder version < 6 and the second pattern is used in encoder version >= 6. None of the code to support the second pattern is ever called. Is there an encoder with a version >= 6? The code in question is

metafor: including phylogenetic non-independence among species?
Hello, Is it possible to include information about phylogenetic relatedness among species (when species are replicates for each study within a meta-analysis) in a meta-anlaysis in the metafor package? Alternatively, I wonder if the method f Lajeunesse 2009 American Naturalist has been adopted in R in any fashion? Thanks, Scott Chamberlain [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Winbind / Samba auth problem after username change
BTW I noticed that most configs use the wildcard parameter. So the smb.conf now uses: idmap config * : backend = rid idmap config * : range = 16777216-33554431 But still no change... I really wonder where this old username is coming from... > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: Julian Zielke > Gesendet: Dienstag, 6. September 2016 18:10 > An: 'Rowland Penny' <rpenny

NV_PFIFO_INTR_DMA_PUSHER
Hello, Could someone briefly describe (or point me to the documentation) what can be a reason for getting NV_PFIFO_INTR_DMA_PUSHER status (nouveau_fifo_irq_handler). This started happening immediately after I set the nouveau_vram_pushbuf flag to TRUE ,it's 100% repetitive and causes fences not to be signaled. Below is the debug log from moment of creation of fifo 1 to some point in time

Popularity of R, SAS, SPSS, Stata, Statistica, S-PLUS updated
Greetings, I've just put out the latest version of "The Popularity of Data Analysis Software" at http://r4stats.com/popularity. This update includes complete data for 2010, the addition of number of blogs for each software, more coverage of Statistica, and, where possible, measures regarding the implementations of the SAS Language: Carolina and the World Programming System (WPS).

Nufone.net net wackiness?
I can't send mail to any addresses in nufone.net; they all get rejected by a spam blocker. And their website is gone, too!! The URL leads to a "parking site." My accounts still seem to work, but I wonder WTH is going on? Thx. B.

UTC timezone not available in RHEL4
Hi all, I have been using Red Hat for a very long time and run CentOS 4 on some of my production servers. One of the things that has bugged me for a long time is the fact in the Time Zone configuration there is not a selection for UTC or GMT. As a work around I have been linking the /etc/localtime -> /usr/share/zoneinfo/UTC which works, but when Yum auto updates to a new version it

Psssst - hey buddy, wanna' get a job? (follow-up to asterisk-biz please)
Folks, First of all, this email is sent to -users and -biz, but please follow- up to the -biz list only. I have set the reply-to, but I fear mailman will strip it off ... Please don't flame me for posting to -users, I'm just not sure who lives on -biz as the (signal/noise | net.kook | troll) factor has been pretty bad on that list lately (poor Rehan!!) ;-) Telephony Depot

I'm no computer programmer, but I followed this guide (http://davidbaumgold.com/tutorials/wine-mac/#what-is) to get Wine on my Mac and to try and start up the program. Got
