Hello all,
Has anyone have magicjack working with their asterisk? I had patched
chan_sip.c with some code that allows asterisk to do the md5 hash that mjmd5
proxy does. * shows that it is registered with magicjack, but incoming calls
are not even hitting my * box and outgoing calls get congestion. Here is my
relevant configs. I did do a ton of google searching, but it all points to

US T1 Hangup Detection
We are in the process of preparing to move our Asterisk server to a
Digital T1 interface card instead of a analog card (via an Adtran
which is now connected to the T1). I did a preliminary test the other
day and hooked the T1 line up to the T1 card, bypassing the Adtran.
This worked rather well I must say. The two issues I ran into are:

Heist of MagicJack SIP credentials?
While I myself am not a MagicJack user, I'm curious as to whether anyone
here has managed to heist their MagicJack account's sip credentials, and
use them to terminate calls using asterisk. Apparently it's as simple
as sniffing the SIP credentials. If so, said person would enjoy

Asterisk 16 Certified 16.8 and MagicJack Incoming Calls
I upgraded our Asterisk 13 LTS to Asterisk 16 Certified 16.8 yesterday and
converted form SIP to PJSIP using the python script as a start and then
mofiying from there. I ran into an issue when testing that incoming calls
from MagicJack would go silent after about 10 seconds. This happened while in
the automated attendant area. This problem did not occur with Asterisk 13
LTS. I reverted PJSIP

Rsync --delete does not work
Hi
I just started to use rsync & samba to backup some windows NT & 98 shared directories to a linux machine
linux: debian 2.2.4
rsync: 2.2.5
samba: 2.2.3a-6
I first mount the windows directory on the linux and then do a
local rsync.

Ready to put the box on the net
I loaded PBX in a flash and I have a simple dialplan setup. I'm guessing this needs to go on the DMZ of my router for anyone to get to it correct? Is there any way to keep it behind the router and map to it or is that more trouble than it is worth?

Remote HD boot?
I have been working with SYSLINUX/PXELINUX Mostly v.2.x recently v3.0 &v3.1 to remote-boot IBM PC's off of 1.44Floppy Images with great success. I have searched through several distributions and the SYSLINUX package seems to be by far the easiest to work with.. (thanks)

I have a large dataset (x) with some rows that have duplicate variables
that I would like to remove. I find which rows are the duplicates with
X1<-which(duplicated(x)). That gives me the rows with duplicated
variables. Now, how can I remove just those rose from the original data
frame. I think I can create a new data frame without the duplicates

soft ATA on linux with zaptel?

randomize a matrix
Hello everyone,
If I have an incidence matrix of 0 and 1's
P=[1 1 1 1 1 1
1 1 1 1 0 0
1 1 1 0 0 0
1 1 1 0 0 0

I want to create a new uniform random matrix [a] that is filled with 0's
and 1's but constrained so that the row and column sums are the same as

Warning message help
I am trying to great a new column of effort data from an existing vector
of gears used.
It is a simple code where
effort[Gear==300]=(DIST_TOW*7412)
effort[Gear==301]=(DIST_TOW*7412)
The code appears to work for some of the data but fails for others and
