How to build db1_dump185 tool ?
Hi,
Here (http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+database) you can read a
db1_dump185 tool can be build using asterisk source code and special make
options.
I took a look a t/usr/src/asterisk/main/db1-ast directory.
It includes a Makefile file in which db1_dump185 is present but command
"make all" fails with a "Makefile.rules is missing" message.
Suggestions ?

which DB to use? or Why Berkley DB vs. MySQL, etc
What are the criteria you use to select which DB to use with *
Built in DB1/Berkley DB
MySQL add in
Postgres
Unix odbc
Brian's dbodbc
Beyond just having a relational DB or not.
Performance?
DB size?
Ease of Access?
Portability?
Gui/browser access
...
Any comments on how to bring this all into focus?

AstDB/Berkely DB - Hash function? Balanced-Tree? b-Tree? Linked List?
Does anyone know enough about the implementation of AstDB to know
whether the data structure is a Hash function, a Balanced-Tree, a
b-Tree, or a Linked List?
I'm trying to estimate the lookup 'cost' of a AstDB with around 160,000
keys? Obviously I already know that it WILL WORK, but the question is
whether the data structure is optimal in the Berkeley DB AS IMPLEMENTED
in Asterisk.

Adding 4000 Lines to asteriskdb via asterisk -rx ?
Hi there,
I want to add 4000 Callerids and Callernames to my asterisk-db.
(/var/lib/asterisk/astdb)
I do not want an external database or an sql-database because I do
not want asterisk to depend on external processes.
However, when I do 4000 "database put number name" via a shellscript
and "asterisk -rx" I only have 600 entries later in my asterisk-
database. The asterisk

Package 'data.table' in version R-3.5.0 not successfully being installed
Dear Sir,
I am using R on Windows OS platform. I upgraded my R-system to version
R-3.5.0. While upgrading my libraries in R as well as in RStudio, I am
stuck up in the package 'data.table', which is required by many other
packages in R-codes in my R-Markdown files.
I tried to install 'data.table' from "USA-berkely" and "UK-bristol" as

Yes, I am sure but added another broader rule:
nsasia at db1:~$ sudo ufw allow from any port 655 proto udp
same result for debug example.

Telnet will only do tcp not udp which tinc works on. Are you sure udp 655 is open?

Hi,
Are you sure? What happens if you manually telnet/socket 10.130.39.180
nsasia at web3:~$ telnet 10.130.39.180 655
Trying 10.130.39.180...
Connected to 10.130.39.180.

Stopping the service and running debug I get:

Failed to modify SPNs
Hello,
I've got some log entries like these on our DCs:
Failed to modify SPNs on CN=db1,CN=Computers,DC=mydom,DC=lan: acl: spn validation failed for spn[TERMSRV/DB1.MYDOM] uac[0x1000] account[db1$]
hostname[(null)] nbname[mydom] ntds[(null)] forest[mydom.lan] domain[mydom.lan]
At first I thought it was about missing SPN entries, but adding these did not resolve the problem:

Subdomain Account Keys Best Practice
Hi all,
I''m thinking of useing sub-domains as account keys, something I''ve played
with previously.
I have accounts and users, fairly standard, except that users can belong to
many accounts, and accounts can have many users.
So I figure I need to have an area on the main domain, that allows users to
view their account memberships and things. Sort of like a dashboard for
each

combining databases for omega
From the documentation I've read, omega can read from multiple
databases, but I'm not sure how to go about this.
I have three databases created using omindex, currently located at
/var/lib/xapian-omega/data/share, /var/lib/xapian-omega/data/users, and
/var/lib/xapiax-omega/data/management
The quickstart guide says that in omega.conf database_dir should point

iproute2 problems
Hi Thanks
removing the first line "ip tuntap add dev $INTERFACE mode tun" seems to have helped regarding the tun error, however it is not connecting. If I stop the tinc service and then run:

tincd 1.0.33 starting, debug level 1
/dev/net/tun is a Linux tun/tap device (tun mode)
