Power calculations for Wilcox.test
Greetings, I'm working on some analyses where I need to calculate wilcox

Prosodic/phonetic analysis with R
Hi Folks,
I'm interested in looking (in a beginner's amateurish way)
at prosodic/phonetic analysis of recorded speech.
In particular I would want to use R to formulate and
evaluate specific models.
So I would like to ask R people for their recommendations
for a program which would

(".wav", ".au")

network-routing
Dear Xen-Users,
I use Xen 3.1.0_15042 on my OpenSuSE-10.3-computer. Without starting the
xen-kernel I can connect my second computer via my native computer to
the internet. After starting the xen-kernel the xen-bridge came
automatically up.
How can I configure the xen-bridge or the xen-devices?
I get routing problems:

slightly OT /how to obtain 900 number
I'm interested in offering fee based support services by telephone. Does
anyone have any suggestions on how I could obtain a 900 number to do this?
My initial thought is to have the 900 number terminate to my asterisk
server which will connect callers to cus service reps / techs in various
locations through IAX or SIP.
I really would prefer to do this via 900 to avoid reps losing time

detecting 1-900 and like exchanges
Is there a list somewhere that enumerates all known exchanges that
charge for the call. I'm not even sure what this kind of thing is
called so I've been kind of limited in knowing what to search for with
Google.
Thanks, Mike

Blocking 900 calls
Presently I have _all_ 900 calls blocked in Asterisk 1.25
but today I had to call a parts vendor at a 972 number.
What are the "safe" 900 numbers - meaning the ones that are not sex
lines that change by the minute?

Hello All,
I've recenly installed RedHat Linux 9 in my Celvin EasyPC from Fujitsu Siemens. I've installed the minimal instalation. Bug in help for profile; more general problem? (PR#900)
The help topic for "profile" has a link to profile.glm in MASS which
doesn't work in the HTML help. The problem is that there is no
profile.glm.html file, profile.glm is just an alias for the confint
help topic.
It would be nice if there were a general solution to this problem
(i.e. the system knew how to work with aliases), but it doesn't look
easy: profile.html is in base,

glm analysis repeated for 900 variables
Dear R users,
Could you help my with the following problem?
I want to repeat a glm analysis with 2 independent variables for all 900
variables (snps) in my data set. So, I want to check whether snp1 has a
different effect on my outcome variable in patients and
controls(phenotype). And repeat that for snp2 to snp900.
Is there an easy way to get a summary of the data, e.g. a list of P

Copying a 900 mb file to Windows !!!
Hi,
I am writing a puppet manifest to install a service pack on windows, what I
observe is that in case the exe file is withing 50 - 70 Mb the transfer to
windows happens without any issues. But the current service pack
"windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe" is around 900 Mb. My manifest is as follows
