[Bug 2294] Detect renamed files and handle by renaming instead of delete/re-send
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2294
--- Comment #23 from dajoker at gmail.com ---
Looking for this capability prior to entering it as an enhancement request
myself, I found everything here and basically have the same use case. My
version is that I am creating a regular backup of logs from many servers'
services onto a single box, and doing so with rsync. Some of those services

[BioC] problem loading affycoretools (more details)
Hi again,
I have been playing around with the order of loading packages, and as far
as I can tell, there's nothing specific with affycoretools that's causing
my Rgui to crash (i.e., shuts down and the Microsoft 'please send error
report' box pops up). Instead, it has something to do with the order & type
of packages that are loaded that add items to the menu bar by

IAX2 getting stuck
Can it happen that the routes lead the traffic through another interface?
Did you try a packet capture with tcpdump? Do the packets really leave the
usb adapter? Can asymmetric routing be in effect?
Maybe there were some static routes that disappeared when the adapter was
unplugged...

Wine has improved a lot!
I hope I'm not wasting bandwidth with this, but I just had to compliment
the developers of Wine for the work that's been done. Wine has gotten
to the point now where just about anything I've thrown at it works
either out of the box, or with minimal tweaking.
I remember when it used to be really difficult or nearly impossible to
get many applications to run with Wine, but now the

Samba without netbios/WINS
I am running samba (2.2.7a) on a solaris box on a network seperate from
our windows clients. (different subnet) We have a mix of Win2k and
winXP clients that are connecting to it.
I recently upgraded from NT 4.0 domains to active directory on Win2K
servers, and I would like to completely do away with netbios and WINS.
The problem is getting clients to connect to the samba server. I have

trouble printing from graphics device in R 2.7.2
Hi,
I've been using R for many years and have always tried to keep my R
version up to date, and when I switched from 2.7.1 to 2.7.2 I'm
suddenly having trouble printing from the graphics device. I have
Windows XP, and installed both versions of R from the binaries. If I
start 2.7.2 and simply do:

Deleting columns where the frequency of values are too disparate
Hello R-help community,
I have another question about filtering datasets.
Please consider the following "toy" data matrix example, called "x" for simplicity. There are 20 different individuals ("ID"), with information about the alleles (A,T, G, C) at six different loci ("Locus1" - "Locus6") for each of these 20 individuals. At any single locus

bug report: nlme model-fitting crashes with R 3.4.0
Dear all,
I've stumbled a similar issue with the package cluster when
compiling the 3.4.0 version with the settings of Fedora RPM specs.
Compiling R with the default setting of configure yields a version that
works for cluster... and nlme.
I did not find the exact option that was the cause of this issue
but I'm willing to help.

change in default behavior of ?functionname in R 2.10?
Hi everyone,
I just installed R 2.10 using the Windows binary. At some point in
the past using the Windows binary installation, the default behavior
of ?functionname changed from plain text to a nice html interface.
Now with R 2.10, the default behavior has changed back to the plain
text help. I assume this has some thing to do with these changes
listed for R 2.10, but I don't quite

bug report: nlme model-fitting crashes with R 3.4.0
lme() and gls() models from the nlme package are all crashing with R.3.4.0. Identical code ran correctly, without error in R 3.3.3 and earlier versions. The behavior is easily demonstrated using one of the examples form the lme() help file, along with two simple variants. I have commented the errors generated by these calls, as well as the lines of code generating them, in the code example below.
