Adaptive CDR and default fields
I'm running 1.6.2.13 and need to record a small number of custom
values use cdr_odbc and cdr_adaptive_odbc, and only the custom
fields.
The good news is that the custom records are being stored in the
database as desired. The bad news is that I get three sets of
warnings/notice about 'SQL Exec Direct failed' and dropping then
reconnecting the database handle. I traced the SQL calls

Cdr problem
hi,
I'm working with asterisk on a project and I found a problem with cdr_odbc.
As we know, after answering each call a cdr event is raised which is saved
in cdr_csv and cdr_odbc. but here my point is on cdr_odbc. some information,
including start_time and end_time is given by cdr event but the problem is
that these two information(start_time and end_time) is not getting save in
cdr_odbc. I

cdr_adaptive_odbc and custom rdms fields
Hi folks,
I was recently made aware that the only way to currently set custom fields
in a relational database for CDR is via the experimental cdr_adaptive_odbc
drivers found here:
http://svncommunity.digium.com/view/tilghman/branches/1.4/cdr_adaptive_odbc.c?view=log
I had no problem compiling the driver, and copied the module to
/usr/lib/asterisk/modules on my box and setup

Asterisk status in Debian
Hello,
This is a update on the current status of Asterisk in Debian.
Apologies for the really long mail, it is targetted both to users and
maintainers :)
I'm Ccing asterisk-users as a one-time thing; users that are interested
can subscribe to our list[1] for updates to prevent noise on a
non-Debian list. Please Cc pkg-voip-maintainer on replies.

Asterisk 1.6 and CDR/MySQL
HI,
I am trying to setup CDR with ODBC and MySQL but get the following error :-
[Apr 28 21:30:01] ERROR[14567]: cdr_odbc.c:133 odbc_log: Unable to retrieve database handle. CDR failed.
I can successfully connect with iSQL so ODBCINST and ODBC ini files must be okay. I have modified /etc/asterisk/cdr_odbc.conf to include :-
[global]
dsn=asterisk
username=asterisk

Unable to load cdr_adaptive_odbc.so
Hi all,
I am having trouble getting cdr_adaptive_odbc to work.
I have correctly configured the odbc drivers and dsn (I have tested
this by connecting directly using isql). I have also configured
/etc/asterisk/cdr_adaptive_odbc.conf like so:
[test-asterisk]
connection=test-asterisk-odbc
table=cdr
I have tested the ODBC connection test-asterisk-odbc and it works correctly
However when I try to

Res: Record CDR in a Oracle database
Hi All,
Thank's for your hint Tim Panton
I could connect my asterisk machine to my oracle machine.
I used unixODBC-2.2.11.tar.gz,
oracle-instantclient-basic-10.2.0.3-1.i386.rpm,
oracle-instantclient-sqlplus-10.2.0.3-1.i386.rpm and the drive from
www.oracle.com (odbc-oracle-3.1.0-linux-x86-glibc.tar) to configure my
asterisk machine.
I can connect to my oracle machine with isql and in

1.6, CDR and h extension
I have two version 1.6 Asterisks running. One is a small hobbyist
thing just at home, and the other is handling calls for several
customers.
On both, I have added the line
exten => h,1,Set(CDR(hangupcause)=${HANGUPCAUSE})
to all relevant contexts.
On my little hobbyist box this works perfectly; all calls have their
hangupcauses recorded with cdr_adaptive_odbc and cdr_custom. On the

func_odbc insert with mssql
I'm trying to use func_odbc to write to a MS SQL db.
Here's my func_odbc conf:
[OPTIN]
dsn=MSSQL-Optin
write=INSERT into OptIn (orgID) values (${VAL1})
Dial Plan
exten => +18665551212,n,Set(ODBC_OPTIN()=dave)
When I do an odbc show, it shows that I am connected to the db. If I use isql, I can write to the db, however, when I use func_odbc, a record will not write. I'm using

Error writing CDR
Hi All
I have dozens of these messages on CLI complaining about database connection and error writing CDR to disk.
The curious thing is I can find them all inside the database.
I "selected" them using uniqueid and manually compared each column with the cdr_adaptive_odbc.c error line.
"mysqlcheck -a -e -v DBase" and "mysqlcheck -c -e -v DBase" both returned OK for

Using MysqlPool Application 1.4
Hi,
Since I've upgraded to Asterisk 1.4 I can't use a MySQL database anymore
for select queries :-(
I'm using dbquery from MysqlPool Application 1.4 and selecting something
from a table returns nothing even if I try to do a query like
"SELECT 1;"
Is anyone in the same troubles ? Do you advice me another solution to
connect to my database ?
For information, I'm using

I would like to see the DNID in my MySQL CDR logs.
I have read one big thread in the Asterisk Developer List, but I could

Is there a simple step-by-step.
Thx in advance.

I'm trying to get cdr to work with my odbc database. I have followed a

cdr_odbc.c:174 odbc_log: Unable to retrieve database handle. CDR failed.
Hi,
is cdr logging using odbc buggy? I'im only getting an error
"cdr_odbc.c:174 odbc_log: Unable to retrieve database handle. CDR failed.".
Connecting with isql to the datasource given in cdr_odbc.conf works just
fine, and using the database for sippeers also works.
The documentation[1] is confusing because it says freeTDS is required
and that you must not use multiple
