MOH Oddity
I'm trying to setup my asterisk system for the least overhead as possible.
My understanding (and experience with other systems) leads me to believe I
can run any MOH using a certain class through a single 'player' as opposed
to starting an independent stream for each MOH instance. However, try as I
might, I can not get it to work.
When I throw two calls into a queue, they are both

MOH Realtime Problem
Hi,
I'm having 2 problems:
1) MOH in realtime is not working, I have configured it but never go to
look at the database, no warning or error found and I can do a query using
realtime and the family from the cli.
2) I have SIP phones via realtime, if I register one of them and a call
to a queue comes the call is never delivered to the phone, I have to make a
call from the

Using Asterisk to play Icecast streams
Steve,
These are live streams of events so I can't simply rip the audio. As I
mentioned at the end of my email putting in a sleep did help a bit however
there are only so many streams Asterisk will grab nicely at once with out
spiking the CPU. I also tinkered a bit with real time here is what I found:
1) If we have cachertclasses=no then Asterisk will only pull the stream if
some one is

Problems getting Asterisk Realtime to work
I have installed the CVS Head as of 12/12/04, as well
as the asterisk-addons to ensure that
/usr/lib/asterisk/modules/res_config_mysql.so exists.
I have configured the following (after building a new
DB with the appropriate SQL examples, with mods to
drop the invalid keys, on the Wiki):
- /etc/asterisk/res_mysql.conf
[general]
dbhost = 127.0.0.1
dbname = my_db

Realtime and voicemail: request to find out if I'm crazy
It took me a whole lot of reading to catch what is likely not all that
subtle to many, but it was subtle to me.
Static: Is the global config stuff from voicemail.conf
mailboxes aren't done in the voicemail.conf file.
The perl script, ast2sql.pl will parse a given config and put
it into a SQL db (MySQL in my case).

Realtime Users/Peers/Friends - Ick
I've been going in circles for a few weeks now with Realtime SIP.
My extconfig.conf has:
sipusers => mysql,dbname,ast_sip_users
sippeers => mysql,dbname,ast_sip_users
When I do a 'sip show peers' I see all my phones. When I do a 'sip show users' I only see a few of them. I can't work out why this is the case. They are also coming up with NAT as

ODBC problem - static realtime file not loading
Hi all
I'm trying to configure my Asterisk setup to load the musiconhold.conf file from an ODBC connection to MySQL, working through the example given in the excellent book "Asterisk: The Definite Guide". I'm using Asterisk 1.4.19 and MySQL 5.1.58. I've configured the ODBC bit and in my GeneralLog on MySQL I can see the asterisk user connecting and sending a few SQL

Realtime / sip.conf
I am currently in the process of testing out realtime support for
sip.conf. I have followed all of the directions that are listed in
the Wiki, but for some reason this does not work.
When utilizing a flat file, I am able to register endpoints without
any problems, and calls can proceed. One interesting side effect that
I have noticed is that when I am using realtime for sip, I am unable

Realtime MOH
Hi all,
I want to allow different users to have their own unique MOH. Is there
anyway to do it? Asterisk does not have a realtime MOH feature but I am
wondering if there is anyway to get around it?
Thank you for your suggestion.
Thanks,
Pete

MOH Realtime
I've finally got it working on 1.6.0.6, but it seems to be a problem:
Situation:
Queue realtime musiconhold class = prueba
I have default class on musiconhold.conf
When a call is made to the Queue checks that is not on memory so goes to the
db, I had 2 situations:
1) If digit was #. Asterisk crash
2) With no digit, when I check the classes

Error When Using Postgresql Schema With Realtime Sip
I am using asterisk 1.6.1.6 and have been setting up a system to use a
Postgresql database as the realtime DB via the ODBC route. I have got
extensions and voicemail working but am having trouble with SIP
The problem seems to be with using a schema. If I put the table "sip" in
the schema "foo" then I add this entry to extconfig.conf
sippeers => odbc,psqldb,foo.sip

Realtime Failover - Multiple DSN 's in extconfig.conf
Hi all,
Does anyone know if it is possible to configure extconfig.conf with
multiple DSN's for failover? The current configuration option appears
to only support definition of a single DSN with an optional database
table. Sample configuration is:
sippeers => odbc,mysql-asterisk,sipendpoints
I am currently using Asterisk -> ODBC -> MySQL Cluster and would like

Realtime Engine
I'm going to be testing the new realtime stuff further in the next few
days, and just wanted some clarification on a couple of things before I
start on it.
I believe I can store any config file in a external config such as
mgcp.conf for example, by adding it to extconfig.conf with the below
syntax.
mgcp.conf => mysql,asterisk,mgcpchans
Doing this will require a reload of asterisk to read
