Server Compatibility questions... IBM and Dell
Does anyone on list have experience with Digium hardware in the following servers: Dell poweredge SC440 IBM xSeries x226 Have just had major hassles getting TE205P ISDN cards going in these boxes. No joy so far. Anyone managed to do it yet? Thanks. Mark

EXT3 fs error on RAID1 device
Hi all. I have a Dell SC440 running Centos 4.4. It has two 500GB disks in a RAID1 array using linux software raid (md1 is / and md0 is /boot). Recently the root file system was remounted read-only for some reason. The logs don't show anything unusual, presumably the file system was read-only before anythng was logged. Running dmesg showed this error repeated many times: EXT3-fs error (device

Asterisk with SC440 Dell(Big Problem)
I have a Dell SC440 with Centos and Asterisk 1.4.21 and a card openvox D110PG, T1, when a person calling from the PTSN will listen to them but then begins to distort the voice I heard that name. I probe the card in another computer and it works perfectly. Anyone has any idea or help. I'm going crazy with this problem. Install Debian on this server and the same thing happened to me. I bought

asterisk performance
Hi all, We are using - a dell sc440(Single dual-core intel xeon 3040, 1.86GHz,1066MHz front size bus 2MB cache) as the asterisk server - dell 400sc(Intel P4) as a SER server - digium isdn card, TE120P at Asterisk server - Bandwidth: 2Mbps/512kbps All SIP Phones are registered to SER server, and SER will route all outgoing calls to Asterisk server. My problem is the sound quality goes down if

[LLVMdev] Possible memory leakage in the LLVM JIT Engine
Hi, In my application I am JITing thousands of functions, though I am doing it sequantially and running only one at a time. So it is crucial to be able to properly clean up the memory from an old JITed function when JITing and running the new one. I am using Haskell binding of LLVM and my application works OK. However, memory usage increases and never decreases during the run time of my

problems with some incoming/outgoing calls
Hi, I've been very puzzled lately. I installed a phone system for a friend a few weeks ago, and they're having a problem that I can't get rid of, actually 2 problems. Before I go into the problems, let me tell you about the setup. It's a pretty small setup with only 4 handsets, all Polycom 320s, the server is a Dell SC440 with Intel E2180 CPU (dual core, 2GHz) and 512MB Ram.

Problem: Digium TDM400 with XOptionsFlex - Line Busy
Perhaps someone with more experience can help me solve this puzzle: Asterisk 1.4.18 on a Dell PowerEdge SC440, CentOS 5, 2.6.18-53.1.14.el5, Digium TDM400 with 3FXO(1-3) and 1FXS(4) Phone service is provided by XO Communications via their XOptionsFlex service (5 analog lines, 3 of which are used by Asterisk). For simplicity I refer to them as xx43, xx44, and xx45 - based on their phone numbers.

[LLVMdev] Structure alignment
%FIRSTSTRU = type { i32, double, i32, i8* } struct { int var1; double var2; int var3; char *var4; }firstStru ; Could someone help? If, running a application in windows with MSVC, I allocate a memmory buffer and call a LLVM function with such buffer, there's a structure alignment problem. If the LLVM function call a C function using the same buffer, it runs fine. Any ideas?

Need Advice
I need to place a SIP FXO gateway in Central America. I've been looking at Quintum products, but the prices are about $150/FXO port. I have a Dell SC400 on the shelf, and I'm considering just installing Asterisk and two TDM04B cards and shipping it down. Does anyone have multiple TDM cards in the SC400? FXO ports on a TDM card are about $75/FXO port. With the Dell, there will be

Asterisk Segmentation Faults Using Skinny (v1.6.0.10)
Hi all, I've just built a new installation of CentOS release 5.3 (Final) and have installed both <http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/asterisk/releases/asterisk-1.6.1.1.tar.gz>Asterisk 1.6.1.1 and subsequently Asterisk 1.6.0.10 (thinking that I was maybe trying to be too cutting edge) on a Dell PowerEdge sc440 server (nothing complex - Pentium Dual core 2ghz - 1gb ram - 70gb

[LLVMdev] Possible memory leakage in the LLVM JIT Engine
Hi, Was this ever resolved? I'm curious, I'm also in a situation where there may be many (very many) JITted functions over the history of an application (which may be running for many days) Thanks On Mar 20, 2009, at 7:34 AM, George Giorgidze wrote: > Hi, > > In my application I am JITing thousands of functions, though I am > doing it sequantially and running only

The best way to protect against starvation?
Hello, If an ordinary user runs: -- snip -- cat > starv.c <<EOF main(){ char *point; while(1) { point = ( char * ) malloc(10000); }} EOF cc starv.c while true do ./a.out & done -- snip -- This will fast starv the operating system (FreeBSD 6.2). I have tried to limit the number of processes and the amount of memmory consumed (in login.conf). There is also a file /etc/malloc.conf

Initializing SparseM matrix matrix.csc
Hi! Would like to initialize a huge matrix.csc (Pacakge SparseM) with all elements 0 and afterwards set a few alements nonzero. The matrix which I like to allocate is so huge that I can not use A <- matrix(a,n1,p) before: A.csr <- as.matrix.csc(A) because I can not allocate such a huge matrix A. But I believe that the much more memmory efficient model in case of csc matrix should do it for

Monitor application inestability and high load
Hi, I'm having high load, choppy sound and slow responsives with an asterisk server (version 1.2.12.1) that make a peak of 90 channels (around 60 phones calling at max, isn't necessary to reach this peak to get the problem). All the traffic is SIP, with recording for every call. The server has: Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.20GHz (with HyperThreading disabled for inestability) 4G RAM 2 DD SCSI

Two TDM04 with Poweredge
Has anyone on this list succesfully managed to get two (or more) TDM04 (with four FXO each) working on a Dell PowerEdge server? If so, which model? Was it a hassle? I'm doing a seven-line installation and a callbank seems like overkill, I just don't want to get suck with a PowerEdge that gets into an IRQ mess. Thanks in Advance, Tom Hayden

Something is wrong with the unserialize function
Hi all, I am not able to export an ALTREP object when `gctorture` is on in the worker. The package simplemmap can be used to reproduce the problem. See the example below ``` ## Create a temporary file filePath <- tempfile() con <- file(filePath, "wrb") writeBin(rep(0.0,10),con) close(con) library(simplemmap) library(parallel) cl <- makeCluster(1) x <- mmap(filePath,
