Xen on 32bit machine with 8GB of RAM
I wanted to install Xen on 32bit processor with 8GB RAM. I am running Debian
on it.
The general Kernel can only address ~4GB of RAM. So, Is it necessary to
install BigMEM kernel so that all the memory get addressed? And then
install xen kernel.
Or ?? Suggestions welcome.
Thanks,
gorkhe

UPS question
so I have a bunch of servers at work that are on DUAL UPS's (1 per each
of 2 power supplies). Its mostly HP gear, but also some Sun and IBM.
Ideally I'd like the system to not go into shutdown unless BOTH UPS's
that a particular box is plugged into (there's actually 4 UPS, 2 per
each of 2 racks). Has anyone ever configured anything like that with
NUT or whatever?

Dialogic card
Hi list,
Anyone knows where I can get information about configuring a Dialogic
card to run with Asterisk?? The model I have is D/120JCT-LS. Somebody
told me that I had to buy the driver, but I don't know if this is true
and if so, who, how and how much...

Fair Bandwidth sharing with HTB and EFSQ
I downloaded the HTB and ESFQ packages and installled the patched kernel
and tools.
Now can someone give me an example how to configure my system so that
the 512Kbit are fairly divided for each computer ? Assume that eth0 is
the interface on the WAN side and eth1 on the LAN side.
Thanks

Re: Bug#390862: -bigmem version of xen kernels is really needed
What about idea not to *add* pae versions of xen kernels, but to *replace*
non-pae versions with pae versions?
Rationale:
- not increase in archive size or linux-2.6 package build time,
- this will improve compatimility with other distros (consider scenario
when running FC or RHEL in domU; these distros do ship only pae xen
kernels, according to

Please could you provide some more details of the failure since this
functionality works for me both with the Debian packages and upstream

Are there any messages in the logs? Particularly /var/log/xen/xend*
and /var/log/xen/domain-builder-ng.log.
Which kernel are you trying to load? The standard Lenny -686-bigmem

Convert Debian 6 from HVM to PV
I have a couple Debian 6 HVM VMs. From what I''ve read, Debian 6''s
standard kernels have pv_ops already enabled. I''d like to convert these
to pv for the following reasons (Assuming both of are valid expectations):
1) so the VMs use pv for the NICs
2) so the VMs properly respond to shutdown/reboot commands from xm
I''m having trouble converting them. I believe
