DAHDI-linux 2.7 compile error with CONFIG_DAHDI_NET enabled
Not sure how I should officially report this, but I'm getting a compile
error with DAHDI-linux 2.7 when I define CONFIG_DAHDI_NET in
include/dahdi/dahdi_config.h. I am able to compile successfully when I
leave it undefined, but I need to be able to use the network support.

Using callgroups (was: Taking a call for someone elses extensionfrom my extension)
Callgroups/pickupgroups are allocated per channel, not in the
dialplan. sip.conf and zapata.conf are the two files you're
interested in.

In over my head -- sorry
I got in over my head.
jpackage was/is too much for me at this time. Maybe for a long time.
Sorry for diverting your efforts to try and help me.
I only want to run SCALIX CE on this system. It needs the jdk and
tomcat. But if you look:
http://www.scalix.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=516&highlight=centos
A number have gotten it running just fine with the 'broken' sun
stuff.

Error after svn co of lastest zaptel 1.4
Hi,
I got some errors about not being able to create subdir [already
existing] on a 'make update' in my zaptel 1.4.
I removed the directory and did a new svn co of zaptel 1.4
[ svn co http://svn.digium.com/svn/zaptel/branches/1.4 zaptel ]
now I get:

R File IO Slow?
Is R file IO slow in general or am I missing
something? It takes me 5 minutes to do a load(MYFILE)
where MYFILE is a 27 MB Rdata file. Is there any way
to speed this up?
The one idea I have is having R call a C or Perl
routine, reading the file in that language, converting
the data in to R objects, then sending them back into
R. This is more work that I want to do, however, in
loading Rdata

SoftFax question
Hi,
I am looking at using the softfax that Steve Underwood has developed.
It's very straight forward when you assign an extension for the fax.
A function that several pbx's has is that they listen for the 'faxtone'
for 5 seconds
after 'answer' in the menu where you can enter your local extension number,
it's normally done in parallel with the DTMF detection. I think

SIP Responsecodes
Hi,
It seems as 'the google' has left me today so I am trying the list.
How do I get access to SIP responsecodes from dialplan/agi. Yes I know
that I should stay with 'DIALSTATUS' but there are cases where I need
the responsecode like '484 adress incomplete' and not just the 'NO
ANSWER' DIALSTATUS.
Is there a channel variable/function that skipped over by

OT: proliant fedora asterisk
HP doesn't support Fedora on Proliant hw so you can't just install their
ILO and get access
to hw info like cpu/mb/temperature,powersupply status, fan info aso.
I used the link below to get that access, which enabled me to write a
small script that sends
snmp-traps to hp-ovo.
I did spend quite some time myself until I found this link.

Multiple AGI Issues
I've got several issues with AGI/FastAGI
1. When an AGI script sends a command to Asterisk via stdin, why does Asterisk block and not return a result until the command is complete? Specifically, the dial command. If I send a Dial command to Asterisk, I don't get a return result until AFTER the call is HUNG UP. Not when it's ringing, not when the call is connected, but when it's

Can not compile zaptel at SuSE 9.0
Hello all,
I am not able to compile zaptel...
I am using kernel 2.4.21-202 and it's source is linked to /usr/src/linux. I
already have to test installations running at SuSE 9.0 (but here I have an
SMP system with to processors).
Could you give me a hint?

2nd call leg status?
Hi,
okay heres what I want to do .. simple ivr, we take a call, answer it, play a
menu, dial out based on options. No problems so far.
The CDR always shows the call as answered as I answer the 1st leg to play the
prompts, I am actually more interested in if the 2nd leg - the outbound part -
has been answered or not before the call is hungup. How can I get this and
record the information in
