Question about echo cancelation
Hi,
I'm using the following setup :
Alice ---- IPPhone ------<LAN>----- Media gateway ----<PSTN> ------- Phone
---- Bob
For certain calls, users complains about echo : they can ear their own voice
in their handset, though media gateway echo cancel is turned on.
I'm wondering how this echo cancelation engine is supposed to work.
My understanding of echo is that most probably,

Asterisk (meetme) and SMP/HT OK?
In the past, there have been reports of problems with Asterisk with
multiple processors and/or HyperThreading.
I'm having a !@#$ of a problem with an HPDL380 with 2 3.4gHz Xeon
processors, 2 gb RAM -- if I got 24 hours I'd think I had died and gone to
heaven :)
Am I missing something obvious like "Asterisk is single CPU, single core?"
I can't access the ILO so I

------- Comment #18 from cove at wildpackets.com 2006-03-17 09:06 -------
It could be a bug in cryptlib, but I had the same problem with libssh and the
first comment in this bug report is with a 3rd implementation.

More * weirdness
Well I am about to reserve a small padded room so I can bounce off the
walls without inflicting tooo much damage... Nothing is making sense at
this point. I tried several releases last night before settling on the
latest CVS (seemed to work the best). Asterisk was running GREAT for the
first few hours. Now since around 10AM EST SIP can't register and incoming
calls are rejected with "all

Debuging LDAP queries on Samba AD
Hi all!
I've been working with openldap for many many years and I have found very usefull to turn debuging all the way on with loglevel -1 in slapd.conf to be able to inspect in the log the queries being sent to the server. I am now using samba 4.10.8 as a DC and a general purpose LDAP server and I havent found how to debug the queries that the server receives to try and figure out what might

Ctrl-c crashes R when run as sudo (PR#7819)
I tried to submit this in R, but not sure if it worked.
When running R as sudo, using ctrl-c dumps me to the command line.
Hitting exit to exit the terminal window results in R taking 100% of
resources.
I am using R-2.1.0 on Fedora Core 3.
Thanks.

Asterisk not recognizing ACK from an OK message? Help debuging SIP retransmit problem
Hi all.
I am having lots of trouble with random calls dropping after 20
seconds, and I finally managed to capture a full sip trace. I'll paste
it in full below, but I'll give a summary first. It seems that
Asterisk is not recognizing the ACK messages that it receives from the
Grandstream ATA. This happens only on the ACK that follows the OK that
marks a call as established. This makes

Unexpected ezstream exit
Hi,
I've been working on a customized version of ezstream and I've been
noticing that with a particular setup after playing particular tracks
ezstream terminates. I say terminates because there are no error
messages, it just exits. I've tried this on both my version and the
stock version available via icecast.org just be certain and it happens
with both versions.

v1.1.beta12 released
http://dovecot.org/releases/1.1/beta/dovecot-1.1.beta12.tar.gz
http://dovecot.org/releases/1.1/beta/dovecot-1.1.beta12.tar.gz.sig
Still not a release candidate, maybe the next one..
This release fixes a lot of bugs and adds some new sanity checks. Fixes
quite a lot of mbox problems.
v1.1.beta11 (no other versions) had a potential security hole where
memory was free()d multiple times.

ezstream keeps getting glibc error on song
Hello everyone,
I just setup an mp3 streaming server on an old laptop I had laying
around using icecast and ezstream. The problem I am having is that when
ezstream gets to a certain song in a playlist I get the error "*** glibc
detected *** free(): invalid next size (fast): 0x080576e0 ***". I'm not
sure if it is doing this because of the song number it is or if it is a

Avoiding IAX destroy deadlock
On one of my 3 * servers I get this after 2 or 3 IAX2 calls
Apr 22 15:54:39 NOTICE[1150495040]: chan_iax2.c:1271 iax2_destroy: Avoiding IAX
destroy deadlock
And as if that wasn't enough I get a never ending stream of this error flying
off the top of the screen. At which point I can no longer make any calls into
or out of the box. Any commands issued at the CLI prompt are ignored so I have

Internal login failure
Hello,
I am fairly new to Dovecot, so please forgive me if I am missing
something obvious here. I have checked the archived dovecot mailing
list messages and have Googled for everything I can think of, and I
still have not found anything to help me solve this problem. I am
running Postfix+Postgresql+Dovecot on my Fedora FC2 box. I have
compiled both Postfix and Dovecot from source. I believe
