DAHDI - analogue, not seeing ringing (UK)
So made my first forray into 1.4 and DAHDI and hit a problem. (Not convinced this is a DAHDI issue though...) Testing an analogue line and asterisk sees the caller ID being passed, but then fails to detect ringing. A plain old analogue phone plugged in rings just fine. Console output: == Starting post polarity CID detection on channel 4 -- Starting simple switch on

DAHDI Caller ID problem
Aloha, I'm finishing up the final touches on this install, and have run into an odd problem. I can't seem to get Caller ID on the analog phone lines working. It's a Digium AEX 410 card. I have Verbose set and a line to print the CID: I have usecallerid=yes and callerid=asreceived set in both chan_dahdi.conf and users.conf [analog] include=>default exten =>

DAHDI weather quirk
Hello list, This may or may not be Asterisk related, but if I had hair I'd pull it out over this. I have a TDM400P card in a Dell POWEREDGE 1550 running Asterisk 1.4.30. Everything works great except that every time it rains, I get flooded with this CLI message - == Starting post polarity CID detection on channel 1 -- Starting simple switch on 'DAHDI/1-1'

incoming zaptel calls fail
Using the latest SVN of zaptel and asterisk, I can no longer receive incoming analog calls. The caller just hears it ringing but Asterisk doesn't pick up. I am seeing these error messages: [Apr 9 09:38:02] WARNING[16564]: chan_zap.c:6470 ss_thread: CallerID returned with error on channel 'Zap/2-1' [Apr 9 09:38:50] WARNING[16570]: chan_zap.c:6470 ss_thread: CallerID

UK (British Telecom) Caller ID again
I've followed the recent thread on caller id with UK British Telecom networks (where the caller id data is delivered before the first ring). My understanding is that if I use a recent CVS head (e.g. CVS-HEAD-09/18/04-17:45:52) and a TDM400 with FXO modules, all I need to do is include the line: usecallerid=uk In my zapata.conf (in the [channels] section) I've done this, but I get: Sep

1.6.1 + TDM840 FSK MWI problem
Hi, Using 1.4.26.1 & DAHDI 2.2.0.2, FSK VMWI devices off a TDM840 work fine. With 1.6.1.[45] & same DAHDI, instead of the FSK spill I get a line polarity reversal. Stutter dialtone is generated as expected. Has anyone else seen this? Is there anything special I need to do for 1.6.1 to make FSK MWI work? Thanks, --Barry

Problem with TDM400P and cidstart=polarity
I'm testing a TDM400P with FXO module to receive incoming calls from an analogue line and send it to a SIP device. To recieve callerid, I need to use cidsignalling=dtmf and cidstart=polarity. The problem is that when a call is finished, the TDM400P seems to require about 20 seconds to prepare for the next incoming call. If a new call comes in within 20 seconds after the previous call was

No audio when calling via PSTN, before remote answers (with polarity reversal)
Hi! I want to get audio from the PSTN before the call is answered so I don't miss when the called phone is busy or if there is some error (like the phone is unavailable or is wrong, etc) and hear the ringing from my telco. I have polarity reversal in my telco for incoming and outgoing calls. If I set answeronpolarityswitch=yes then I get no audio until the call is answered. If I set it to
