Asterisk 11.4.0-rc1 refuses to use the TURN server
After struggling with one way audio issues as a result of STUN binding
errors on both the Asterisk side and the Chrome side, we've decided to just
simply go with a TURN relay for RTP packets until the issues are resolved.
I configured rtp.conf so that all of the STUN related entries are commented
out, and I use the following TURN configuration instead:
turnaddr=numb.viagenie.ca:3478

[Fwd: Asterisk client for ekiga.net NAT problem]
I am experiencing a "606 not Acceptable" error trying to set up an
Asterisk server as an ekiga.net client. My server is behind a firewall
with NAT routing. I have googled this problem and read about Asterisk
feeding its local ip address to ekiga.net. That seems to be my
problem.
I tried putting stunaddr=stun.ekiga.net into the sip.conf file under
[ekiga]. I also tried

asterisk + stun
is there general documentation on how asterisk behaves as a stun client
(besides res_stun_monitor.conf) ?
e.g.,:
* can asterisk use multiple stun servers ?
(im interested in availability, not data parity)
* what is the relationship between gtalk.conf's stunaddr and
res_stun_monitor.conf ? will duplicate queries be sent ?
* Does asterisk provide some call (through AMI,

where to find STUN Server howto
Hi people!
Do you guys know where to find a STUN Server Howto?! Why?! We all know,
to get Asterisk behind an NAT Router to run, is a bit tricky, and you
might have to fire a lot of holes in your firewall.
However, I would appreciate it very much if somebody could give me great
links of how to set up a STUN Server.

Stun & codec
I have two phones, one does not need stun, the other one needs.
All settings are identically, except the number/password and said above
stun - not stun
I use codec in the order:
g729
g711u
g711a
Any ideas, why the user can hear me, but I cannot hear him (stun) while
the other user without stun has no problem.

NAT/STUN Server
Hi,
I am trying to register SIP clients which are behind NAT on different
network. In order to achieve this goal I think I need STUN Server . I
downloaded STUN Server from
http://internap.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/stun/stund_0.96_Aug13.tgz
But I don't know how to install/configure it.
And please advice me that STUN server is good idea for this scenario?
Thanks in advance

How to configure a stun server for a sip peer
HI all!
I'm looking for some infos to configure stun server support for a SIP peer.
I've installed Asterisk 1.4.3, but searching for stun support in
chan_sip (sip.conf) i've found nothing, only a "misterious" externip = stun...
But where i have to put the ip of stun server?
No infos around Google and forum! :-)
Thank all, regards

STUN on PAP2-NA 2.0.12(LS)
Hello,
I'm having intermittent STUN trouble. Every one out of perhaps 5 reboots
the PAP2 contacts STUN ... on the other attempts it just skips that step all
together. I have been verifying this using ethereal which shows the
distinctive STUN server DNS lookup followed by about 10 STUN queries (when
it works - when it doesn't it skips all that including the initial DNS
lookup ...
