sendmail alias
Hi,
how are mails forwarded, if I do have the same alias pointing to two
different users like this (two entries, two lines):
bon.aqua: coke
bon.aqua: pepsi
Will coke and pepsi get the mail adressed to bon.aqua or will only the
first entry get the mail?
I know, that "bon.aqua: coke, pepsi" will forward the mails to coke and
pepsi,
Cheers,
G?tz

Netatalk connection on Samba machine account - security breach?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

[please cc to my address]
Dear Samba and Netatalk experts,
I've got a server running both samba 2.2.3a as PDC and netatalk (1.5pre7
as supplied by SuSE73). Samba machine accounts are added to /etc/passwd
automatically by the command
add user script = /usr/sbin/useradd -d /dev/null -g 90 -s /bin/false -M %u
when a NT machine is added to the

OT: EVDO cards / service with CentOS
Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with using EVDO high speed
wireless broadband service under CentOS? I am looking for high speed /
low cost internet connectivity for an office that is in an area without
DSL or Cable. My idea was to use EVDO from either Verizon or Sprint
with a PCMCIA to PCI adapter card that I could stick into a CentOS
machine that is used as the router/firewall.

My function and NA Values Problem
Dear R Staff
My working file is in the annex. "g1.csv"
I have only 2 columns. Rice and coke.
I try to execute following(below) function, but do not work.
Because "Coke" value has NA values.
I try to add "na.rm=True" to the function but do not work
How can I solve this problem with this function or another algorithm?
(Note: I have normally 450 columns)
Sincerely

strange warning
Hi all,
I am using an asterisk as a client to connect to another asterisk server by
registering with the register string. Registration is done without any
hassel, but after sometime my asterisk loses the registration with the
server and the server starts displaying the following msgs repeatedly:

OT: Quad-band cellphones with wifi & stablesipsupport
Its not quad band and in my opinion doesn't perform well enough to be
used for anything but basic email and phone calls. This phone, even on
the newest version of firmware (Sprint) hangs when syncing with exchange
to the point where you miss calls even though you tried to answer them.
If you turn on wifi or Bluetooth, it simply compounds the problems. It
will also require (literally) a

Exposing home hosted services on internet with tinc
Hello,
I need to build a VPN, and I am not sure if tinc is the right tool to
use. I am more familiar with OpenVPN.
I have a few boxes at home, behind a router with a dynamic IP
address. Those boxes host some services, like web sites, for instance.
I have a server hosted online, with a few IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. All
addresses being static, of course.
I am planning to use tinc on Debian, to

Missing php* packages
Hello,
I am trying to migrate one of our fedora-based servers to CentOS. Our PHP developers doesn't allow us to switch because there are no crucial (for them) php packages:
php-smarty
php-adodb
php-accelerator
It is not acceptable for us to download sources and compile them and repeat the process each time there is a security bug.
Can you recommend any repository which will deliver all the

IPSEC tunnel for remote internet access
Hello list,
I need to provide internet access through a proxy server on a central
office to a remote Lan on a branch office (LAN-B). Also there is an
internal server
that LAN-B machines should reach.
Below there is a simple diagram.
Right now I have an IPsec VPN tunnel between offices, and LAN-B can
acces LAN-A machines without problems. But LAN-B machines can't access
the remote proxy or

Exposing home hosted services on internet with tinc
Hi AndrĂª,
So by nodes I assume you mean the "boxes".
I would suggest each "box" gets it's own tinc node(with a static ip) and
then on the server it should be a matter of pointing at the ip address of
the appropriate box tinc ip address.
I've done this myself with WireGuard and it works great.

Centos 5 OpenVPN / SElinux
Hi,
I'm running Centos 5 32bit and installed openvpn-2.0.9-1.el5.rf from
Dag Wieers Repo. When OpenVPN is started during boot-up it just shows
an SElinux related error message. When I start OpenVPN manually after
the system has come up completely it works fine.
Here are all the messages from /var/log/messages that are SElinux related:
