video phones on 1.4.7
I have 3 phones P1 is a non video phone - grandstream P2 is a Grandstream GXV3000 P3 is a Grandstream GXV3000 Using P1 to place a call to P2 I get audio only (as expected). Then on P1 I transfer the call to P3 and I still only get audio. At this point shouldn't the two video phones P2 and P3 say to each other we are video and so startup the video stream??? This is not working at this time?

N900 video with Asterisk?
Anyone using an N900 with asterisk yet? Had mine for a while now and VoIP (voice) has been working really well, but the new firmware update brings SIP Video calling too - so just given it a go... The fly in the ointment is that I only have a Grandstream GXV3000 to test it with ... And it worked - sort of. If I call the N900 from the Grandstream it's OK (H263 and H264 seems supported),

call transfer problem - something strange
Hi, I try to set up planet VIP-050 with asterisk. Everything works fine instead of the call transfer. When I press # console says something like this: >Oct 5 11:11:20 DEBUG[25104]: chan_sip.c:2222 sip_rtp_read: Oooh, format changed >to 1024 >Oct 5 11:11:20 WARNING[25104]: codec_ilbc.c:144 ilbctolin_framein: Huh? Hi, we have 4 asterisk, versions are 1.4.35 1.4.36 1.6.2.18 and 1.4.42 One GrandStream GXV3000 is used for the tests. He is registered to asterisk 1.6.2.18 asa well as 1.4.35. Calling echo test is OK on both servers, get audio and video. Calling echo test from asterisk 1.4.36 bye a SIP trunk from both others servers is also working well. What fail, is video on echo test from asterisk 1.4.42

app_prepaid NAT issue
I was able to get app_prepaid working, but unfortunately I am getting one way audio on the phone that I was placing the call from. It is behind NAT. It appears that the app_prepaid is not taking this into consideration since I see: Jun 18 17:46:25 DEBUG[1133742896]: chan_sip.c:4130 build_route: build_route: Contact hop: <sip:7708183799@192.168.1.101:5060;line=jet7pbic> Jun 18 17:46:25

Video phone crashing meetme on asterisk 1.4.
Hello, I am running asterisk 1.4. For argument's sake I have 4 telephones. 2 support video, 2 do not. Calls between phones work fine and codecs are properly negociated. I have videosupport=yes in sip.conf and when the two video phones communicate I have video. I call meet me with this command EXEC MEETME 1234|d SIP looks like this : -- AGI Script Executing Application: (MeetMe)

Asterisk dual contexts stupidity
So I have my extensions.conf (http://www.infiltrated.net/exten.stupidity.conf) shortened in case someone wants to look. Has someone encountered the following? I've racked my brain on this for too long... I have two contexts, day and night... Caller (Daytime) --> Dials an extension --> Caller hears extension ring on receiver --> Call goes through Caller (Night) --> Dials an

postscript output sideways
Hi, My plots are all coming out sideways! If I do the following: > postscript("plot1.ps",horizontal=TRUE,paper="letter") > plot(ns,meanpl/maxvec) > dev.off(2) The output file has "ns" on the left and the "meanpl/maxvec" on the top! It doesn't matter if I change the horizontal flag to FALSE. I have noticed, however that If I create my own

Bad DTMF detection
We're still having problems with DTMF detection on our X100P cards. Incoming callers that hold down the "1" button for too long are being connected to extension 11. One would think fat fingers were uncommon, but it happens to alot of people. I suspected this was related to our having to increase the txgain, but I tried turning it down with no effect. I also tried disabling the

Server based audio merge
Hi Allen, > I tend to disagree. It normal human conversation it wouldn't make much > sense to have 2 people talking over each other at the same time. One of the problem is, that if the server doesn't distribute the stuff, then one entity must send the stream to every other entity. That could work fine with fast connections, but doesn't work with a modem connection. My

Grandstream surveillance devices
I just got a spam from telephonydepot (which I invited to spam me, so I guess I have to call it legit marketing :) ), and they have some new device that is meant to be a surveillance camera with audio, but the interface is POE and SIP! A cool idea. Anyone playing with this toy yet? I am trying to wrap my head around how asterisk might fit with the model of this camera being

Any idea what causes "Oooh, got a frame with format of g729 on channel 'PJSIP/121-000001d2' when we're sending 'ulaw', switching to match"
The PJSIP endpoint is configured for ulaw only. Not sure how or why we are seeing the g729 on calls for this endpoint. Would this be a case that asterisk detects the rtp stream is g729 even though it's negotiated as ulaw? Why would asterisk change the format to g729 when disallow = all and allow = ulaw are the endpoint settings? [121] type = endpoint context = IS transport = transport1 aors

rotated figures within Sweave?
I can't recall (or find an example of) how to rotate figures in Sweave: <<fig=TRUE, echo=false, width=9, landscape=TRUE>>= ??? <<fig=TRUE, echo=false, width=9, rotate=true>>= ??? <<fig=TRUE, echo=false, width=9, sideways=TRUE>>= ??? <<fig=TRUE, echo=false, width=9, par=(something)>>= ??? Does anyone know how to do this?

Quicktime component icon
Hola; This is kind of a silly question to be asking a dev list, I know, but my googling found nothing. I was wondering where the base template for the quicktime component icon could be found (the sideways lego-brick thing)? I'd like to iconify a component of my own, and am having a devil of a time tracking that down. Any help would be appreciated... thanks. -- Chris R. ====== Not to be
