anyone using SIP trunks from Time Warner Telecom?
I am currently using a T1 PRI from TWTelecom for DID and outgoing calls, but I recently discovered that they're offering call termination/origination over SIP trunks in my area now. If they could deliver these SIP trunks to me over a guaranteed-QoS circuit, this would be of great interest to me. We're already using a DS3 circuit from TW for our internet uplink, so I'd imagine it

Provider with GA DIDs and LNP
Hi, I am looking for a provider that can provide DIDs in Atlanta, GA (national in future) and who can port an existing number. LiveVoip is a perfect fit but doesn't do LNP :-(. Currently I only need a handful of numbers ported, but will have more requirement in future. I'll need unlimited simultaneous incoming/outgoing calls (can pay for incoming as well). Any pointers are much

Re: [Asterisk-biz] Livevoip U.S. 800 LNP Starts March 9th 2005
Mike, No they have not. Calls are failing again today. They have offered to refund my money but that does not solve the problem. My asterisk server is only 4 to 12 ms away from their "network". I have had VERY good luck with nufone.(40 to 45ms away) Only have 1 or 2% fail rate. Going to be calling txlink.net on Monday. Seems that LiveVoIP does not care about asterisk users. They like

LNP / DID Service - Louisianna / Virginia
I need to convert quite a few numbers in play, as Remote Call Forward Numbers and this is a sample of NPA/NXX's that we'd like to convert to VOIP right away. We are using an NEC 2000 IPS switch to do the conversion and feed to our call centers, and I will want to add DIDs from these same NPA/NXXs later... 337-774 (LA) 540-371 (VA) 540-389 (VA) 540-562 (VA) 540-953 (VA) 703-276 (VA)

Important Security Announcement: AltNames Vulnerability [new version of puppet]
We have discovered a security vulnerability (“AltNames Vulnerability”) whereby a malicious attacker can impersonate the Puppet master using credentials from a Puppet agent node. This vulnerability cannot cross Puppet deployments, but it can allow an attacker with elevated privileges on one Puppet-managed node to gain control of any other Puppet-managed node within the same infrastructure. Setting Caller-ID / Point Codes
Greetings folks, I'm currently dealing with a company to let me set Caller-ID-Name on outbound calls. So far pretty happy with their services. The basic service works like this: * CLEC sets Point Code to point to this company * CLEC has to sign LOA saying they give me permission to set the Caller-ID-Name through this company. * I go into web interface and set name. However, the CLEC is

Verizon-Vonage Lawsuit
May be slightly off topic, but I was wondering what everyone thinks of this latest ruling against Vonage? Does anyone really know what Verizon hold patents for, and could those patents possible affect anything in Asterisk? Who knows who Verizon will go after next. OT: List of VoIP providers?
I have been looking around for VoIP providers but have not found a good listing. Is there no "yellow pages" for VoIP providers? Google mostly returns services like Vonage, Packet8, NuFone, ect. None seam to be very reseller friendly and none offer LNP or local DID's for my area. Anyone know of a list (even a partial one) Jeromie Reeves

flac worse than shorten ON SOME FILES
had to fix the subject... was getting under my skin! yeah, could you put up the FLAC version of the worst track that is less than 20 megs compressed? (I'll have to grab it with a 56k modem). by worst I mean the one where shorten beats flac by the most. also: 1. what version of shorten are you using? 2. what command-line options for flac and shorten did you use on this track? thanks, Josh

New install not working.
Hello. I need some help. I was running uw-imap on my IMAP server (so I am using mbox email files), but I was having trouble with Outlook 2013, so I decided to move to dovecot. At first things were looking much better, except that most of my folders, other than the Inbox, were not showing up. I started changing both the dovecot configuration and the folder structure of my mail files,

Improving the split heuristics for the Greedy Register Allocator
I have an issue that I've been wrestling with for quite some time and I'm hoping that someone with a deeper understanding of the register allocator can help me with. Namely, I am trying to teach RA to split a live range rather than allocating a CSR. I've attempted a very large number of tweaks to the costs (both existing and experimental ones that I've added). However, despite all

I need some help understanding how on of the example data sets is formatted in the basic R installation. If I load the Mona Loa CO2 data, with the command: > data(co2) I can view the data with: > co2 And the data are in the form of 11 rows labeled as years (1994-2004) and 12 columns labeled (Jan - Dec).
