aggregating along bins and bin-quantiles
Dear all, I would like to aggregate a data frame (consisting of 2 columns - one for the bins, say factors, and one for the values) along bins and quantiles within the bins. I have tried aggregate(data.frame$values, list(bin = data.frame $bin,Quantile=cut2(data.frame$bin,g=10)),sum) but then the quantiles apply to the population as a whole and not the individual bins. Upon this

DSYNC needs a lot more documentation
Started looking into the dsync utility and the doc are seriously incomplete. I can of course scour the internet looking for the missing information but that doesn't fix the problem with the docs. I might try to rewrite the docs myself once I figure it out.

Logging users connecting
Hi list, Is there a way with Samba 4 AD to log when a user and computer are logged in? What we're looking for is to solve the scenario of students or faculty logging in on a workstation (with their username and password), doing something bad online, and the SysAdmin having to scour through the log files for a specific date and time, and figure out who was logged in at the time of the

Wish list
While the subject is new features, here''s something I''d like to see. I''d like to have a way for shorewall to be able to monitor a log file and take an action when a condition is met. For instance, if Shorewall could monitor /var/log/httpd/access_log for entries which I have defined (and know to be an attack), and then take an action such as blacklisting a host or domain

Good book on Linux Admin (Centos 5.5)
My Admin books are out of date, so I need a new one that contains info about the Linux as in Centos 5.5. I am a "Sunday user"; not one earning a living as an Admin. Recommendations welcomed.... Marvell, IOMMU/VT-d, and pci-phantom
Hi, guys. I''ve been trying to use the pci-phantom command line options to xen so as to work around the hardware issue with the Marvell 88SE91xx SATA controllers in IOMMU ([Intel:] VT-d) mode, but I cannot seem to get my head around it. From having had a glance here: http://xenbits.xen.org/docs/unstable/misc/xen-command-line.html and in particular the syntax described as such:

Managing /etc/yum.conf
Hi, It''s easy enough to modify, say, the "exclude" variable in /etc/yum.conf with something like: augeas { yum_exclude_kernel: context => ''/files/etc/yum.conf/main'', changes => ''set exclude kernel*'' } However, I''d like a more flexible system where I can "build" the list of excludes from

[LLVMdev] ARM JIT support status?
Hi Rahul, I believe that ARM support is working in the MCJIT engine (as of llvm 3.1). If it wasn't working in the legacy JIT engine 10 months ago then it probably still isn't. -Andy -----Original Message----- From: llvmdev-bounces at cs.uiuc.edu [mailto:llvmdev-bounces at cs.uiuc.edu] On Behalf Of Rahul Garg Sent: Tuesday, July 31, 2012 1:13 PM To: llvmdev at cs.uiuc.edu Subject: Re:
