Zaptel drivers for Solaris?
I'm looking to build the zaptel drivers on a Solaris 10 X86 box. I've
found the driver source code on
https://svn.sunlabs.com/svn/solaris-asterisk but this source is posted
along with Asterisk 1.2.7.1 Does anyone know of a fresher version? Is
this code considered "somewhat ready for prime time use"?
Thanks,
Frank

Where to best start looking for voicemail/moh sound quality problem?
I'm running Asterisk 1.2.13 on a Solaris 10 X86 box behind an IPCop
firewall on a 5Mbps down/512 up cable connection.
I'm having sound quality problems when users call in for voicemail and
with music on hold. The sound is choppy and muffled while souding pretty
good for calls inside the network.
I'd appreciate some pointers as to where to start looking to improve things.

Zaptel / Asterisk on Solaris
Hello nice people :)
I have been struggling with trying to get Zaptel from
http://www.slimey.org/zaptel-solaris.tar.gz on a Solaris 5.11 VM I obtained
from the OpenSolaris Website. I have tried installing all the necessary
packages, yet I keep getting errors no matter if I try using the gcc
available at sunfreeware.com OR the blastwave CSWgcc packages and GNU
'gmake' (as suggested

Detect incoming fax on PSTN and route to fax machine on DADHI extension?
I'm running an AsteriskNow V1.7.1 with both a PSTN connection and fax
machine. Both are connected to a DAHDI board. I'd like to route
incoming PSTN fax calls to the extension of the fax machine and process
non-fax calls through different dialplan.logic.
What's the best way to go about doing this? I've looked into Fax for
Asterisk, bit I'm not sure that I want it or NVFax

How to test H.323
I'm trying to set-up H.323 support under Asterisk. I built a recent CVS
release and the ooh323c code from the asterisk-addons. Everything built
and installed and the H.323 stuff loads OK when asterisk starts.
What is the easiest way to check if the H.323 code is working? I've
edited the h323.conf and extensions.conf files but I'm sure that things
aren't right. I've

Anyone have experience with Asterisk under Solaris 10 X86?
I've built Asterisk from recent CVS sources on a Solaris 10 X86 box. I
tweaked the makefile to get the build to run using gcc. And most
recently ran into va_args problems with new code in asterisk/utils.c.
It seems to run OK and register with my VoIP provider, but I'm still
having trouble setting-up connections to my Sipura SPA-3000.
Does anyone have some experience under S10 X86?

I'm having a problem with asterisk-1.4.4 dumping core under Solaris 10

Busy signal from IAXy when not connecting to my Asterisk box
I'm having a problem with my IAXy not always connecting to my Asterisk box.
When I pick-up the phone plugged in to the IAXy I get a busy signal. I
have to hang-up the phone and wait a few seconds after the orange LED goes
out and then try again.
When this happens I don't see any connection attempts in the Asterisk -r
output.
When I do get the IAXy to connect to Asterisk I get a

Audiocodes MP-11X configuration to work with Asterisk
I'm trying to get a MP-114 FXS/FXO gateway working with Asterisk. It
registers fine and I can call between the MP-114 and other extensions,
but I'm not having much luck with the FXO ports. syslog shows the
problem to be in the MP-114 configuration.
Can anyone help?

package test failed on Solaris x86 -- help needed for debugging
Dear R developers,
we have currently a 'mysterious' test problem with one package that
successfully passed the tests on all platforms, with the only exception
of Solaris x86 where obviously one of our help examples breaks the CRAN
test.
As we don't own such a machine I want to ask about a possibility to run
a few tests on such a system:

[FreeBSD 6.3] Upgrading Zaptel messed up host
Hello
Since the Ports collection showed that there were more recent
versions of Asterisk and Zaptel, I tried to compile/install Zaptel,
but it fails, even after stopping Zaptel cleanly, and even after
stopping Asterisk itself, so I decided to just reboot.
Now, when I type "ztcfg -vv", I lose the SSH connection for a couple
of minutes.

Can zaptel freak out if you configure 2 trunks but use only one?
I am using Asterisk 1.2.13 with Zaptel 1.2.11, I used to have an old PBX
connected to one port and the PRI connected to the other.
I'm having serious stability issues with Asterisk on a box that has been
rock solid previously.
The old PBX died two months ago so one port on the TE210P is now unused
but still configured. Also I'm afraid I have upgraded from Asterisk
1.2.9.1 and the old

Fedora Core 6 (FC6) and Asterisk-1.2.13 and Zaptel-1.2.10 compile problems
All,
I have upgraded by home machine from Fedora Core 5 (FC5) to the recent FC6 and am struggling to build Zaptel-1.2.10 and Asterisk-1.2.13 on the box... which is an Intep P4 2.8GHz HT processor box with 845 chipset, hence the kernel installed is 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6-i686 so we hve this:

freebsd 4.10 and port misc/zaptel
hey asterisk folk,
i'm new to asterisk, but not to freebsd as i've been using it and
developing on it for quite a few years. we're planning on deploying
asterisk as part of a voip provider's service platform and naturally i'd
rather be using freebsd instead of a linux based distro. as such, i am
very, very excited that there is work going on towards porting the
zaptel drivers
