log to cdr each dialpan action, not only one record for each call
Hi to all.
What can i do if a customer needs to log in the CDR all the dialpan
actions related to a call?
I mean, not only the lastapp e the lastdata but all the dialpan actions!
I know that the actual CDR system store one record for each call (and
for billing purposes this can be correct) but in some cases the
approach needed is something similar to the queue_log.
I know that exists ResetCDR

RFC: (in-principle) native unquoting for standard evaluation
(please be gentle, it's my first time)
I am interested in discussions (possibly reiterating past threads --
searching didn't turn up much) on the possibility of supporting standard
evaluation unquoting at the language level. This has been brought up in a
recent similar thread here [1] and on Twitter [2] where I proposed the
following desired (in-principle) syntax

How can i exit the dialplan?
I won't use meetme twice!

RFC: (in-principle) native unquoting for standard evaluation
I love the pointer analogy. Presumably the additional complication of scope
breaks this however. * itself would have been a nice operator for this were
it not prone to ambiguity (`a * *b` vs `a**b`, from which @ does not
suffer).
Would this extension require that function authors explicitly enable
auto-quoting support? I somewhat envisioned functions seeing the resolved
unquoted object (within

Mongrel cluster with one app and many mysql databases
Hi All,
I am new to the mongrel mailing list and I have a question (and I didn''t
find any answer in the archives).
I have successfully installed the apache2.2 proxy balancer with mongrel
cluster and that works just fine.
For a single rails app I have started 2 mongrels which consume about
100M (ps says 5.0% for each and I have 1G RAM). It seems a bit much but OK.
However that would

include directory and all files under
Sorry, but it seems everytime I setup a different rsync operation
(client only) I end up here unraveling the include/exclude stuff I
need.
The documentation is quite good but I guess the subject is just quite
a bit to chew.
To cut to the chase:
I want to sync up my own snapshot repository of openbsd. The basic
install files. They reside at:

Polycom digitmap question
via google, I found the reference regarding digit maps for the Polycom phones:
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2005-January/082884.html
But I don't see any instruction for prepending digits to the number
dialed. Does anyone know how to prepend a digit to the number dialed (from
the Polycom side, not Asterisk)? I can do this pretty easily on a Sipura.
i.e. Say I want to

echo system command and set the results to a new variable
I am looking to issue a 'System cmd' that will echo the results into
a new variable -- can anyone tell me the correct way to do this?
example: at the terminal I am currently able to issue this command:
echo | date > date.txt
I end up with a file called date.txt with the contents: Mon Aug 29
18:32:45 EDT 2005
I would like to issue a command in my dialplan that puts the date

Solaris 10 + Samba + LDAP - how to?
Hi all,
Some of you may recall a little while ago I posted a fairly complex
request about integrating samba into a solaris 10 fileserver and using
Open LDAP as the primary authentication source. Well, I got no
responses as I believe it may have been too complicated-a-request/
question.
So, a simplification and some different questions.
1. I have a Solaris 10 x86 host that I'd like to

Odd time conversion glitch
Hello, all.
I ran across an odd problem while working in R 2.6.0. The command line text follows. Basically, I attempted to convert a character vector of length 13 (in a data frame with 13 rows) from a character representation of dates to a POSIX representation using strptime. strptime returned a vector of length 9, which appears to contain 13 values (!) in the appropriate format.
I can't

Can't add machine account to domain
I am running samba-2.2.7a-7.9.0 on RedHat 9.0. The domain I am trying
to join has a different name than the workgroup I am trying to leave.
Below is a copy of the last two entries of the computer_name.log, which
are created when I try to add the machine account.

number that starts with star on PAP2
We have some extensions in our dialplan that start with a star. We can
dial them from Zap phones and SIP phones, but not from phones connected
to a PAP2. After the user presses star follwed by two digits (our
extensions are dialed with star followed by three digits) he hears a
fast-busy that comes from the PAP2, not from Asterisk. This also
happens with the builtin *8 (call pickup).

Documentation error: wrong permissions given in FAQ
Hi,
I discovered yesterday that the instructions given at http://www.openssh.org/faq.html#3.14 regarding the correct permissions for the authorized_keys file mistakenly recommend chmod'ing the file to 600 when it should be 644. The requirement for public key authentication to work is in fact that ~/.ssh/authorized_keys is readable (but not writable) by group and other, not just owner. Someone

Ice cast Hacking
Hello,The station I run using ice cast keeps being targeted by a hacker. They manage to kill and start our stream at there own will. They have messaged us through a fake Facebook account telling us that they are hacking us and that in order for it to stop we need to give them our Wordpress admin, this was obviously never sent over.
Any suggestions on how to stop and defend these attacks would be

Interpreting factor*numeric interaction coefficients
Dear all,
I am a relative novice with R, so please forgive any terrible errors...
I am working with a GLM that describes a response variable as a function of
a categorical variable with three levels and a continuous variable. These
two predictor variables are believed to interact.
An example of such a model follows at the bottom of this message, but here
is a section of its summary table:

Errors in data frames from read.table
Hello, all.
I am working on a project with a large (~350Mb, about 5800 rows) insurance claims dataset. It was supplied in a tilde(~)-delimited format. I imported it into a data frame in R by setting memory.limit to maximum (4Gb) for my computer and using read.table.
The resulting data frame had 10 bad rows. The errors appear due to read.table missing delimiter characters, with multiple data

Polycom - directory dial
This is not an Asterisk specific question but doesn't anyone know if you
can automatically prepend a 9 on the call lists so clients can return
dial without having to repunch in the number? If you go to directories
now it just shows the number without a 9 (obviously).
Maybe on the Asterisk side??
