ZAP device reference in Zaptel 1.4 - SIMILAR
Well, I'm experiencing a similar problem with my setup... debian etch,
asterisk 1.4.2, zaptel 1.4.1, ... I cannot find the chan_zap.so module
file anywhere, tried recompiling with zaptel 1.4.0... no change... I
tried 'make menuselect', and going to the channels-part, chan_zap is
marked XXX -> dependencies missing: and this is the message for it, as
an explanation. Zapata Telephony

chan_zap not compiling.
Hi all.
chan_zap not compiling, yes yes I know this sounds trivial but here me
out...
This morning I decided to upgrade to Asterisk 1.4.2 and Zaptel 1.4.1. I
successfully installed zaptel 1.4.1 and the card is picked up and
correctly configured.
ztcfg shows the following:

codec_zap and Asterisk 1.4.1
I've downloaded:
asterisk-1.4.1
zaptel-1.4.0
I've compiled and installed zaptel. When I go to install asterisk I do:
./configure
make menuselect
I then take a look under the codec selection menu and I see that
codec_zap can not be compiled.

Zaptel data mode not supported?
Hello:
Have a TE110P laying around and decided to see if I could build a router
around it. I've tried compiling several versions of zaptel .1.4.x with
the same results. I checked the zaptel changelog and can't find
anything about it no longer being supported (or that it ever was for
that matter).

Asterisk 1.4.13 build crashed
Hi,
am building the latest version of Asterisk (1.4.13) on a self-build
Linux host (based on LFS-6.3).
Version 1.4.12 built installed and worked fine. Last night I upgraded
the kernel to 2.6.23 and rebuilt the zaptel driver package 1.4.5.1
against it. That seemed to build and install O.K. too.
I dl'd the 1.4.13 source tarball and tried to build that:
./configure ran O.k. 'make

Trials with 1.4
I decided to try 1.4 today. Zaptel builds, installs and seems to load
correctly and Asterisk builds, installs and works but no Zap lines.
When I typed "make menuselect" for Asterisk and went poking around I
discovered that chan_zap is marked XXX and I can't figure out why
that might be. Any suggestions?

chan_zap.so missing
Hello everyone!
I installed Asterisk following the instructions of the book
"Asterisk: The Future of Telephony". (very nice book)
However, I failed.
I installed zaptel, libpri and asterisk (in this order).
The Installation of Zaptel is successful and my TDM400P is correctly
detected:

Asterisk not picking up (some) calls due to zaptel detecting and clearing alarms
Hi All,
For the most part, the PBX works as it should. Occasionally people complain
that they call and the PBX doesn't pick up. Other times it looks like the
call is answered by Asterisk but I still hear ringing and I start listening
to the IVR menu a few seconds into it.
As for Asterisk not picking up, I see the following in the logs:

Synaptic can show the origin of packages.
The only thing I see from a backport is
libcmanager0
I don't think this is relevant to R. Or is it.
The only thing I've got installed from a ppa is mate (a desktop). I
don't see anything related to mate that is related to R.
FYI the ubunu I'm using came preinstalled from Dell (on a notebook;
usually I install linux myself).

It's a Dell XPS 13.
Obviously I don't understand what's in libcmanager0. I wonder if I can
safely replace it. I'm a bit uneasy about replacing things Dell
installed. I gather there are some specialized drivers for the monitor
on this system.

Hello!
I'm trying to install R-3.0.1 on an Ubuntu machine (64 bit, version 13.04). I have uninstalled and installed several times, but to no avail.
I keep getting errors about missing ldpaths, and installing packages does not work at all.
Here is the information:

Zaptel FXO offhook when connected to PSTN
I installed Trixbox and a TDM400P with 2 FXO and 2 FXS ports and am having
an annoying issue with the FXO ports. As soon as I plug either one into the
phone line it's as though the line is disconnected i.e. get disconnected
tone when trying to dial out, line is busy when dialling in.
The CLI shows the following:

Bug#677614: xcp-xapi: someone should create /etc/default/xen
Package: xcp-xapi
Version: 1.3.2-6
Severity: important
Looks like on Wheezy, /etc/default/xen is not created by xen-utils-common. Since xcp-xapi depends on its existence and further declaration of the toolstack in it, it should take extra care to ensure that it is present.
root at debian:~# aptitude install xcp-xapi
The following NEW packages will be installed:

That could do it
http://packages.ubuntu.com/trusty-backports/libcgmanager0
Seems to be libc related, which is a pretty core library to much of the
whole system.
Hmm, which model Dell? We just got a Dell 5000 series with Ubuntu, I
have not checked with my boss if there was R installation issues.
Thanks,
Alex

missing chan_zap.so
Few days back I installed Asterisk 1.4.2 with Zaptel 1.4.0.
All SIP accounts were working fine, today I tried to install a fxs Sangoma A200 card and got the following error.
