Question on .NET, Mono and Visual C++ and WINE
Hey guys, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, forgive me if not. I will soon start to contribute to a FOSS project written in Visual C++ and Visual Studio. I am a pure Linux user and was wondering what is the right way to make this app finally run on WINE. And how may I use a Visual Studio project on Linux? I know, this is probably kinda off-topic, but after all I still need a

Visual Studio .NET
Hi` we recently switched to using Visual Studio .NET and now I get a crash inside Ogg Vorbis unless I recompile Ogg Vorbis itself with Visual Studio .NET. Are there any known issues like that? Make sure that Visual Studio works before 1.2 release
I was thinking that should be a good idea to make sure that at least Visual Studio 2008 is properly working in wine, before 1.2 release. In this way, we could test specific functions in wine, by creating simple test applications to test if the system calls are working well. I think that Visual Studio is a key application to test wine compatibility with windows, and it is an application that can be

[LLVMdev] Support for "foreign" Visual Studio 64 bits C++ exceptions?
Hi, We are currently porting our application to Windows 64 bits (amd64), and we are getting regressions from 32 bits relatively to LLVM 3.0's ability to get traversed by "foreign" Visual Studio C++ exceptions. That is, there is a crash when C++ exceptions which are thrown from Visual Studio code, are unwinding through LLVM code before being eventually catch by other Visual Studio

[LLVMdev] lld fails to build on Visual Studio 2013
Hey there, lld fails to build on Visual Studio 2013 because of ErrorOr<void>. For example, ErrorOr<void> is used in InputGraph.h as the return type of InputGraph::reset. Inside of ErrorOr, there is: typedef typename remove_reference<T>::type &reference As T is void, and remove_reference <T>::type results in void, the typedef expands to: typedef void & reference,

Binaries for Visual Studio.NET?
I apologize for what's surely a common question, but the Xiph archive-searcher seems broken, and all my other searches have come up dry. Anyway, my question is: Are there any Theora binaries available for Visual Studio.NET? Alternatively, how do I build Theora using Visual Studio.NET? I tried using "\win32\theora_static.dsp", but VS.NET claimed it was corrupt and couldn't

Visual Studio/Samba Compile from Shares issue
I've run into a problem in which Visual Studio 6.0 gives an Internal Compiler Error message when compiling from a samba share. The project compiles fine locally and from shares on Windows machines. To me this suggests that the issue is with Samba. I've tried adding full access to the share where the project is housed, but to no avail. Any ideas? We are running samba 3.0.9-1.3E.2

Visual Studio 6 Install Fails Hard
Running Red Hat Enterprise 3. I can install and run all of my Visual Basic 6 created programs (but I occasionally have Access database corruption) but to troubleshoot some issues I want to install Visual Studio 6 under Wine. However, every time I try to install, the PC locks up hard (clock stops, no mouse, can't telnet in). I have to remove power and reboot, not a nice way to reboot. Has

[LLVMdev] LLVM and Visual Studio 2003
Hi, I have what I think is a simple question: Is it at all possible to build LLVM with Visual Studio 2003? The "Getting Started with the LLVM System using Microsoft Visual Studio" document states that versions earlier than 2005 SP1 will not work because they do not support the C++ standard well enough. Is it just some features of LLVM that require better C++ support and so building

RStudio Calling C++ Visual Studio DLL
All, I'm a newbie to R and I am interested in seeing a simple example of calling a 3rd party Visual Studio generated DLL from RStudio. Does anyone have a simple example which also walks through the preliminary steps of setting up the INCLUDE path and the library path to either a DLL or LIB file ? I have tried to find an easy example, but thus far had no luck finding an example using Rcpp
