Testers needed for VoIP router solution
Hi all,
We have put together a firmware for a range of inexpensive routers.
It has been configured to provide optimum VoIP performance.
We have internally tested it for number of months and it looks very good.
You should be able to run it easily with 20+ phones on local network ( we
still did not hit the upper limit ) assuming that you have bandwidth.
Your VoIP will get prioritized over other

I seemed to recall that running in cli always showed a response back, but there's nothing now. Using

Multi default gateway and 2.4.30
Hi
I have just moved my firewall from a 2.6 debian machine to a 2.4.30
openwrt (linksys wrt54gs) box.
I orginially had this working with 2 isp, 1 cable 1 adsl and dyndns.
Now when i have moved to 2.4.30 I am having problems. Everything else
is working fine except when I DNAT packets from the firewall to an
internal address, ie my web browser is inside so I DNAT from the
external IP to the

Pictures of the Digium booth at ISPCon 2005
Hello everyone,
Even though a lot of it was a bit last minute, several of us from the
commnunity made it to Baltimore to help Digium with their booth at
ISPCon. It was a great time.
Gregory Boehnlein, Brian Capouch, Christian Savinovich, Kristian
Kielhofner (me), and John Todd (not pictured) were there (as well as
others), and some pictures were taken (the up close ones of me were very

asterisk as sip client behind nat
Hi, I am pretty new to all of this but was able to
set up an asterisk server and have been able to
succesfully connect to asterisk with x-lite as sip client.
I have also connected asterisk to FWD (using iax2) and
to voipjet (also using iax2).
Now I am trying to connect asterisk to Stanaphone.
It has to register as a SIP client but I am not being
succesful at all.
My asterisk server sits behind a

Weird routing problem (2 internet connections)
Hello,
I have a very strange problem that I can''t seem to be able to figure out.
First of all: my network scheme: http://heavyg.safehex.be/network.png
I have an agreement with my neighbour that I can use his wireless
network to experiment with extra internet uplinks in exchange for some
filesharing etc.
Now I have set up a wireless router at my place, that connects to his
network.

One way audio - doesn't seem to be NAT issue
I have been banging my head against the wall for weeks now on this
one. I have a switch running NetBSD and Asterisk 11.19.0 although I
have had this problem on older versions as well. I, and my users, can
call out, we can receive calls, quality is excellent but I cannot talk
with one user. The different elements are as follows:
The switch as described above which is in a server room on the

was wondering if someone here has installed linux on the XBOX and use it
as a dedicated server. Its a 200 USD computer and could make it perfect
to asterisk, its little and doesnt really take much space. My question
is could this make it for a stable server???

Slashdot on WRT54G
Did anyone see the article?
It''s the first time I really noticed that these little Linksys routers
are such a fully fledged linux machine with a decent processor and a
replacable firmware. I am now itching to get one to replace the
multipurpose firewall desktop machine.
Has anyone experimented with the current state of the firmware and how
advanced you can get with tc rules? For

openwrt wrt54gs running asterisk/pap2
I have asterisk running in a wrt54gs attached is a pap2 with 2
extensions working on it, the problem now is that there is lots of echo,
some rythm in the background, and the voice is delayed by about 4 or 5
sec's between the 2 extensions. memory usage is about 15 to 20 megs so I
think I can solve the problem with correct settings, anyone know where I
might start to correct these issues

Recommended *WRT router to run Asterisk?
Hello
For users who 1) don't have a QoS-capable ADSL router and 2) would
like to run Asterisk with a couple of SIP trunks, I was wondering what
hardware is recommend to run any of the main open-source *WRT projects
to which Asterisk has been ported:

can''t figure out nat''ing by port
Hello folks: This may have been discussed many times before but I
have not been able to find it. I have also not been able to resolve
it myself so I am asking here with hope that someone can straighten me
out.
I am using ip to do multisource policy routing or two connections to
the internet. I have a linksys wrt54gs route which connects two
machines by wire through the switch and three

RE: the "cisco vs. Linux" thread
FYI this topic has been covered on the Zebra and Quagga lists
- hardware processors, memory, NICs, etc
- software OS (Linux, *BSD), drivers, etc
I''ve been running a couple of Linux routers for about 2 years now, I''m
using
them as core routers so I bought a couple of rackmount "server" boxes
with
redundant PSUs and h/w RAID (1) for hotswap disks.

Office to Office via IAX2 problems
I'm going to try and lay out all the relevant information I have here
in this one post. I can provide more info if necessary.
ISSUE 1:
Office A routinely looses connection to Office B. When typing IAX2
Show Peers, it will show as Unreachable. I issue IAX2 Reload and it
will work again for 1-3 days (haven't narrowed the time down yet). My
theory is that the DSL at Office2 is changing
