NOTIFY authentication
Hi, does anybody know if asterisk can authenticate on a NOTIFY send to a peer. I use OpenSER as SIP-Proxy and asterisk as voicemail system with ODBC Support for voicemail-messages, voicemail-users and sip-peers/users. My SIP-Users register with OpenSER. Asterisk has two views on the OpenSER database for voicemail-users and sip-peers. Call-Routing, leaving voicemail-messages in database an MWI

SIP NOTIFY on REALTIME USERS/PEERS
Hi! I've read in the asterisk docs (AstARA.html) that realtime users/peers can't be notified (MWI with SIP NOTIFY) when they have new voicemail messages, because their object are not persistent in memory?! But that's what we really need!!! Is their any work in progress to get these things working? Or are their any known workarounds? I'm using asterisk version 1.2.1 with OBDC

SIP MWI and MySQL Realtime
I know that there are some patches being worked on to cache realtime users that might ultimately fix this problem, but until then, here is a little script that brings back the MWI when using the excellent mysql realtime architecture with sip: http://www.cheapnet.net/~mike/asterisk/send_mwi.txt This script relies on sipsak utility found at http://sipsak.berlios.de/ Download, rename to

MWI, Realtime SIP, Voicemail and Extensions, UAs registered with SER
I have the following setup: - UAs registered with SER/OpenSER - SIP peers (non cached), extensions, voicemail setup (not message storage) defined in Asterisk 1.2 using Realtime When a message is left in the user's mailbox, no Notify message is sent to SER. 1. If the SIP peer is defined in sip.conf with a host=ser.domain.com then the notfy is sent to SER. 2. If realtimecache=yes is set in

MWI Asterisk+Openser
Hi, I need some help, getting to work asterisk MWI. I set up Asterisk as voicemail server for Openser as this tutorial shows : http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Realtime+Integration+Of+Asterisk+1.4+With+OpenSER+1.3 . My voicemail system is working but, I can't get to work the message waiting indicator. It doesn't seems to send the Asterisk any NOTIFY message to the Openser box. How can I

OT: SIPSAK usage
I'm using sipsak to send messages to Snoms in my subnet. At work, works fine: sipsak -M -O desktop -B "foo" -s sip:1001@192.168.1.220 -H 192.168.1.46 displays "foo" on the Snom display On my home LAN (AAH 1.5, Snom 190 3.60s, switched 100, no VLAN, no routing) the same command (modified for my LAN) always yields: (type: 3, code: 3): from 192.168.171.8 at the console

auto load SIP peers on startup
Hi all, we use OpenSER together with Asterisk. All SIP users registers with OpenSER and asterisk is doing the voicemail thing. We use the Asterisk RealtimeArchitecture for voicemail users and SIP peers. The database table for the sip peers is a view from the OpenSER subscriber table. The MWI for a user will only work, if the user object (sip peer) is loaded into memory and visible with the CLI

Remote MWI for Central Voicemail?
Hi - We've got multiple offices with their own asterisk boxes (CVS HEAD 11/03/04-14:59:37) connecting to each other using IAX forwards. All users are on SIP phones. Voicemail is centralized to one location. Everything is hunky dory except that the users in the remote offices don't get MWI on their phones. I've seen the other posts to this list regarding this, and

SER Asterisk Voicemail
Hi all, I have SER and Asterisk set up together with ser handling user registrations and asterisk providing voicemail services. When I ring a phone and it doesnt answer after a designated amount of time, the request is forwarded to asterisk, and I can leave a message. Now, this may seem a ridiculous question but how can I listen to my message afterwards? I have read about a solution by Java

FW: SER Asterisk Voicemail
Any more ideas on my below mail? If a user is registered with SER and leaves a voicemail message with asterisk (by using rewritehostport etc in ser.cfg), then how is the user supposed to listen to the message afterwards? Is there any other way other than the MWI method?? Thnaksm Aisling. ---- Original Message ---- From: ashling.odriscoll@cit.ie To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: FW:

Adjusting frequency asterisk sends NOTIFY's to ATA's at for MWI.
I'm trying to figure out how Asterisk decides how often it will send SIP NOTIFY's to an ATA when a voicemail message is waiting for the user on the server. >From watching, it seems to be completely random. Sometimes 10 seconds apart, then 33 seconds, then 13 seconds, etc. Each time causes a "ring" on the ATA. I can change the ATA's behavior, but what I'd really

Upgraded to 13 and now "Mailbox" is empty in sip show peers
Using realtime for SIP. Using standard DB schema. Tried mailbox as varchar(50) and bigint(10) "sip show peer XXX" shows "Mailbox: " (empty) So MWI isn't working This happened before when we tried to go up to 1.8, so we stayed at 1.4 We're forced to go to 13 now. Obviously a lack of MWI is a big issue for 500 units. Any idea why we're not getting it? We're

How to send SIP_NOTIFY messages with variable content ?
I would be very interested in using sipsak for something like this. What have you tried so far? -Thufir On Mon, 16 Jan 2017, Olivier wrote: > Thinking over my previous, I wonder if sipsak could be used to send > outgoing SIP NOTIFY messages. > Would both Asterisk and sipsak be able to share networks resources ? > > Thoughts ? > > 2017-01-16 14:10 GMT+01:00 Olivier

Maximum number of SIP peers in Asterisk 1.4
Dear all, I have Asterisk 1.4.13 as a SIP server for my company with 100 peers (I mean users) and everything work fine. I have the following question: what is the maximum number of peers that I can reach with Asterisk ??? I know Asterisk is not a SIP server basically like OpenSER, so I'm confused. Thanks a lot, Alejandro

Realtime SIP peers - reloading cached info
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi guys, I've been working on a little dialplan fragment for roaming extensions, however the customer wants us to set the MWI indicator for the roaming extension that has just logged in. We're using MySQL realtime, so I've figured out that RealTimeUpdate will happily update the realtime database with the correct mailbox. My problem

Realtime / SIP Peers etc
Ready to scream here.. 1. After 6 months with Asterisk I'm STILL trying to understand the difference between a SIP user, friend and peer. 2. Exactly what resource does Asterisk use to send MWI to registered phones? I thought it was astdb? 3. It looks like it isn't astdb. It looks like it will only send MWI to a phone if it shows up in 'sip show peers'. 4. WHY then does a reload

Sip Notify PAP2-NA?
I am using mysql sipfriends and can't seem to get the MWI to work. From what I've read it seems this is not supported with that dynamic system, and probably never will be. I was thinking of just setting a cron job or something to check every minute for voicemail and set our sip NOTIFY messages as needed. Also, the PAP2-NA has the ability to reboot via a sip notify and I would like to be

MWI for non-subscribed Realtime peers?
Hi, I have an Asterisk behind an OpenSIPS proxy. The proxy handles registrations and also SIP SUBSCRIBE for MWI. The Asterisk are configured to send NOTIFY to the proxy even when the SUBSCRIBE haven't been received. I can configure a user in sip.conf that works: [az5134939706] type=friend host=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (IP of proxy) port=5060 nat=no mailbox=1234 at customer subscribemwi=no

Realtime peers, mailbox and MWI problem
Hello, I am facing a problem I can't understand. I have several realtime SIP peers and from time to time, the mailbox field is not loaded in asterisk memory. The mailbox field is correctly populated in the database, but often, after an asterisk restart, the mailbox is not associated to the peer (just to understand, if I run "sip show peer 104-TEST", I see the Mailbox empty. If I run
