How to get database.yml configuration to use it in a rake taks
Hello, I want to get the production environment configuration from the database.yml in the /shared folder of a deployed rails application. I could use scp to get the file, write it to temporary file, read it and open it with YAML, but is there a better way to do this? Rack, Camping 2.0++
=== 1. Camping on Rack === I''ve just finished rewriting Camping to use Rack in the "core". I got rid of (a little less) than 1kB in camping.rb and removed lots of un-necessary files (lib/server/*.rb, fastcgi.rb & mongrel.rb). bin/camping does now only provide WEBrick, Mongrel and console-support and should only be used in development. It uses Rack::ShowExceptions to catch

FeedValidator :: validating feeds RSS or ATOM
FeedValidator is an interface to the W3C Feed Validation online service, based on its SOAP 1.2 support. It helps to find errors in RSS or ATOM feeds. VAD performance worse on version 1.2rc1 than 1.1.12
Hi Cecile, it seems it is a tabu theme, or nobody uses VAD on speex. I've tried with external EasyVAD solution but the result was not as spected. Other users of the list suggest an algorithm to filter voice based on the power of the signal, but of course, it is not a voice activity detection. I am waiting also a solution for this, while so I use version 1.1.12. Regards. Cecile Dumotier

VAD performance worse on version 1.2rc1 than 1.1.12
Hi, I decide to write to the list because of a strange behaviour when updating from version 1.1.12 to 1.2rc1. My software was running fine with version 1.1.12, but now I want to benefit from advances on AEC. After updating the library to 1.2rc1 and do few changes on my sources, I run the application and discovered that VAD doesn't work so fine as in previous version 1.1.12 (3 years ago). I

preprocessor VAD only rocognize between silence and not silence
Hello, in my project im using speex 1.2rc1 and the preprocessor VAD seems to only separate complete silence from not complete silence frames. The Speex Manual, you can read "The voice activity detector (VAD) provided by the preprocessor is more advanced than the one directly provided in the codec." but if you go to the source code in preprocess.c line 995 "/* FIXME: This VAD

A question about logical controls and function arguements
Dear R-help subscribers, I'm trying to write a function to generate data simulating the image created by a point radiation source in a plane on a screen where there is filter with a single circular aperture in it between the source and the screen. Following some guides (including Intro to R and some I found online) and examples I have specified the function (full code below question) with
