Hi. I am new to the listm so, first of all I'd like to say hello to everyone here in the list. I hope this list is an adequate place to post this; else, please, kindly direct me to the right list :) I write because I am having an issue with nouveau and mplayer. distance_of_time_in_words and Time classes
There is <%= distance_of_time_in_words(Time.now, @a_time) %> before xzy.<BR /> <!-- ^ this gives 2279 days --> This does not work because when @a_time is stored, even though it is a Time field and the class is Time, it includes a date. The Date isn''t even that days date its the year 2000, hence the 2279 days ago. So how do I set the date part of @a_time (a Time

Dropped calls
I have a very serious problem with calls between PAP2-NA and a TDM2400 (8 FXO). Almost every call dropped after between 20 and 30 seconds with conversation. I disable the sound card, serial and other things on my server, but the problem still continues. I've changed the RPT Packet Size to .20 on PAP2-NA, but nothing. Here a piece of my log: [Jan 31 07:10:43] DEBUG[3131] channel.c: Hanging up

Compact Flash, EXT3, and IDE - a bad idea?
Hi All, I'm currently running an embedded linux system (arm) with a CF card mounted as EXT3. I'll copy some system details below... Anyway, I'm getting some drive errors and I'm wondering if they're due to bad/old drivers, something with EXT3 and CF latency, or something else entirely. These are the errors: hda: write_intr error1: nr_sectors=1, stat=0x51 hda:

[LLVMdev] Problems building host tools when cross compiling LLVM
Hi All, I recently ran into an issue that was posted several years back on LLVMdev [1]. A brief recap of the problem is that when cross-compiling LLVM itself the configure/make scripts get confused when creating the needed build host tools. For example, building and configuring like: CC_FOR_BUILD='i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc' CXX_FOR_BUILD='i686-pc-linux-gnu-g++'

Shorewall + IPSec: help debugging why gw1<->gw2 SA works, but loc<->gw2 traffic doesn't trigger SA
Dear list, I''m running Shorewall on a dedicated Fedora 7 box. Shorewall is working well as an office DSL router (dynamic IP) with loc and dmz zones. I am now trying to configure IPSec to connect a VPS, "casp", with a static IP to both the firewall and to the loc network behind it. The host to host SA works fine. However, pings from "loc" to "casp" can be

String overflow with random characters
Hi, I've got a problem with a 2.2.2 samba server. It has, a number of times, recorded the following lines for a short period of time of 10 seconds, and then not again for days. Has anyone seen these before? It all appears to be random characters. It has only happened from 2 machines out of 30 or so. [2005/01/13 09:33:29, 0] lib/util_str.c:safe_strcpy(877) ERROR: string overflow by 363 in

causing LMB elections
I've been running samba servers with 200+ W98 machines for some time. I'm changing to W2k and everything was going fine. I've upgraded 40 boxes. One W2k box has started announcing itself as a local master browser for one of the workgroups. A samba server thinks it is master, forcing election. Samba will stop being the LMB for about 3 minutes and then will re-establish itself as

Bug#659642: xen-hypervisor-4.0-amd64: outl segfaults when restoring monitor from sleep with DPMS
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.0-amd64 Version: 4.0.1-4 Severity: normal Tags: squeeze When the monitor is being restored from power saving mode via DPMS, X will lock up/restart. This only occurs when running Xen hypervisor. Running just 2.6.32-5 -xen-amd64 doesn't produce this effect. Note that both 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 and 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 with Xen 4.0.1 are running with nopat (to workaround

seeding my georeplication
Thanks for your response (6 months ago!) but I have only just got around to following up on this. Unfortunately, I had already copied and shipped the data to the second datacenter before copying the GFIDs so I already stumbled before the first hurdle! I have been using the scripts in the extras/geo-rep provided for an earlier version upgrade. With a bit of tinkering, these have given me a file

Shell auto-completion for ld.lld linker
Hi lld developers, As a GSoC student I wrote static ld.lld auto-completion scripts for zsh and bash shell because it doesn't have much options and flags for dynamic completion. Whether I send pr to zsh-completion/bash-completion package or open phabricator review for them? Also gnu ld has already autocompletion for bash shell but l am not merging ld and lld completion scripts to one file

[LLVMdev] [DragonEgg] [Polly] Should we expect DragonEgg to produce identical LLVM IR for identical GIMPLE?
Dear all, In our compiler we use a modified version LLVM Polly, which is very sensitive to proper code generation. Among the number of limitations, the loop region (enclosed by phi node on induction variable and branch) is required to be free of additional memory-dependent branches. In other words, there must be no conditional "br" instructions below phi nodes. The problem we are facing
