Newbie: confusion with the new FXO/FXS card

and a Rhino R8FXX with one FXO module and two FXS:

Dovecot and fake users
Hi everyone,
Our company has decided to make a fake POP3 (and possibly IMAP)
server, which accepts any user name and password combination and shows
there are no new messages. This is for the purpose that when our mail
cluster passes out, we can redirect our clients to this server while we
fix our mail system. This way we can prevent our users from getting
errors. We are using the latest

Analog DID
Does anyone have any suggestions for connecting analog DID trunks? I have
some small locations that will have 2 analog DID trunks each, the only
solution that I can see will work will be using a channel bank and T1 card,
but it will be close to $1500 to terminate these DID trunks. Was hoping
someone had some experience using an ATA or TDM card and analog DID trunks.

ldap guest account mapping looks broken
I'm running the samba-client-3.0.20-0.1 SUSE RPM. I was using the
version that came with 9.3 but upgraded to see if this specific
problem would go away.
Guest access does not appear to be working correctly, and it looks
like the problem is due to guest not getting mapped into the LDAP
query correctly.
Specifically, I can login with local account, join workstation to the
domain, browse

Rhino analog cards
Had a fairly horrible lightning storm night before last, and four of eight

FXS channel banks
Greetings list,
I've been asked to provide a system for 200 extensions, most of which will be existing analogue POTS handsets, not IP handsets. I've not really had any experience with large channel banks in the past (since most of our deployments are strictly IP-only to the desk), so I'm at a loss as to which ones are worth looking at.
If anyone's had experience using channel

E1 PRI to and from SIP screeching
Hi all,
We have just set up trixbox latest with a Rhino r1t1 card, hooked up to
a plain E1 PRI line. We call fine SIP to SIP, but as soon as we make a
call from SIP to PSTN all sounds become unintelligible screeching or
static kind of noise on both ends, when we call PSTN to SIP the PSTN
side seemingly OK at least we hear no screeching sound, but the SIP side
is a even worse screeching

Could Asterisk be crashing under high context switches?
Hello!
I have been struggling with Asterisk 1.6 and DAHDI for the past few weeks. We are an outgoing call center with 30 internal analog phones hooked up to 2 Rhino CB24 channel banks. The banks are connected to a Rhino R4T1 card in a Dell 2950 server with 8 gigs of RAM. The 2 other ports on the R4T1 go to our 2 PRIs.
In this configuration, we have trouble maintaining stability. It may be fine

New driver
Hi,
First of all I'd like to congratulate everyone engaged in this great
project.
I've been following this list since late 2014, when I acquired an APC
UPS model BZ1200BR. APC bought a Brazilian company named Microsol,
which NUT package had drivers for Solis and Rhino models. Since that
time, I started developing a new driver for the models below, as a way
to support my own device, but

Jruby + Rhino = Javascript support?
Hey Aaron, I''m just thinking out loud here, but have you considered
the possibility of using the Rhino [1] library to implement
javascript support in mechanize? It''d create a jruby dependency for
that feature, but still. Just thought I''d bring it up while I was
thinking about it.

Dahdi issues
Hello,
My first attempt to get dahdi running on 1.4.28... with a Rhino 8 port

SPA400 vs Rhino/Digium card
Hi!
I'm a new member in VoIP world. I want to implement a VoIP PBX using
asterisk/tribox in the office but I have one doubt. Which is the best way to
use actual PSTN lines in the VoIP PBX? Using a box as Linksys SPA400 or
installing a PCI card (Rhino/Digium...) into the server? Which
benefits/problems will I have with each option?

Rhino cards lock up system -- anyone else ever seen this?
Hi Folks,
Struggling with a new * installation with 2 Rhino R2T1 cards. For some
reason, the system is locking up tight when you run ztcfg to configure the
card(s). Configuration is asterisk 1.2.14, zaptel 1.2.12, and rhino's
1.05rxt1 drivers. The cards seem to load fine with a "modprobe rxt1",
but once
you run "ztcfg -vvv", the system will lock up within a few seconds, no

Re: [nut-commits] svn commit r544 - in trunk: . drivers
Peter,
looking back on rev 543, it looks like my 'make depend' ended up
removing 'rhino.h', but also removed the rule for rhino.o as well. Did
I miss a step somewhere?
