SIP Softphones and Citrix ?
Anyone aware of any SIP softphones that might virtualize well with Citrix presentation server? I suspect I know the answer already as I have been researching softphones that work with Cisco CallManager that can be virtualized if you will with Citrix and have come to learn that its not something that seems to be doable at this time. I have to assume that the issues affecting the virtualization of

Analog Adapters ?
I have a friend with a small business running a small SIP based phone system. He was looking into providing some SIP phones for a couple of remote teleworkers, but as he started to look around and ask me questions he ran across analog adapters which made him curious. He proceeded to ask me if there was an analog adapter that provided the following functionality in which my reply was simply,

Affordable SIP Trunk for Home PBX ?
So I have my asterisk box up and working internally at home and all is good so far. The next thing I wanted to do was make and recieve calls to regular land lines now. I don't have a POTS line and was looking for probably a SIP trunk. I have seen mentions of Skype integration with Asterisk, but does that include say Skype IN and Skype OUT ? Or is that integration component really just for

How are you using Asterisk at Home ?
I am very new to Asterisk, it was a weekend project of mine that I jumped into this weekend. I have it up and working on a box at home, and I am nearly half way through the book I purchased friday "Asterisk: The Future of Telephony 2nd Edition". Anyway, I started this out so I could help a friend who wanted a VoIP PBX solution for his small business. I have been working with Cisco

ApacheDS vs OpenLDAP
Hi all, Wondering if any of you have thoughts/experiences with ApacheDS? We've all had trials and tribulations regarding OpenLDAP and while its basically working pretty well in a master/slave relationship, ApacheDS claims more robust replication, etc... Granted I am working with the version bundled with CentOS, I do understand that the latest OpenLDAP is wayyyyyyy betterrrr :) - Aurf

fixture_file_upload and edge rspec?
Hi all, I had some specs that were using fixture_file_upload that were passing just fine. Then I froze edge rails to get some 2.0 functionality, then a I upgraded to trunk rspec to deal with uninitialized constant ActionView::Helpers::JavaScriptMacrosHelper After a couple other of tribulations, I have now gotten down to just a couple of not passing specs, all using the fixture_file_upload.

Problem with SysLinux but not with LILO
Hi, I am trying to use two products that use SysLinux and finally realised the SysLinux is the cause of my woes. I'm trying to use Freesco and IPCop. IPCop version 1.3 used a different boot loader to 1.4 which uses SysLinux. I have been through numerous trials and tribulations in trying to get Freesco to work but eventually gave up and went with IPCop. I kept getting the "Boot

overiding concatenation of tables by alphabetical order
Hi everyone! When doing a has_and_belongs_to_many join, with two tables, rails expects a join table whose name is the concatenation of the two table names in an alphabetical order. However i have a number of tables which do not follow this convection and wish to have rails read and recognize them. for example i have a table called feature and another called cvterm. How soon after the GitHub migration should committing with git-llvm become optional?
Hi, I mentioned this in my email last week, but I wanted to start a new thread to get everyone's input on what to do about the git-llvm script after the GitHub migration. The original plan was to require the use of the git-llvm script when committing to GitHub even after the migration was complete. The reason we decided to do this was so that we could prevent developers from accidentally

3.0 alpha 17 fails to build under Solaris 8
I was going to explore the infinite possibilites offered by PAM, winbind, NIS, and alpha17, but it never got past the build stage. Sigh. Note that 2.2.3a built just fine with this same machine, same compiler (GCC 3.0.4), and same OpenSSL (0.9.6b). Not just the same versions, but the files themselves haven't moved. 27% pwd /tmp/pedwards/samba-3.0-alpha17/source 28% make Using FLAGS
