Using PauseMonitor with MixMonitor
Hi
I'm using asterisk 1.8 on CentOS 5
I'm initiating call recordings with MixMonitor and trying to pause them
with the features.conf.
Whenever I try to pause the recording the call dies. Is PauseMonitor
incompatible with MixMonitor?

applicationmap on features
I want to be able to send a prerecorded message to the person I am
calling. I know that you can use the application map to do this. Just
to test I enabled the testfeature example that is in the features.conf
file. When I hit #9 during a call the other user does not hear the
monkeys, they only hear a series of beeps. I have tried with different
soundfiles and they all give the same problem.

applicationmap
Hi -
I'm trying to implement the applicationmap stuff in features.conf, and I
can't seem to get it to work. I'm testing it out on 1.2.2 with Polycom
IP500s and Snom190s.
My features.conf looks like this:
[general]
parkext => 700
parkpos => 701-720
context => parkedcalls
parkingtime => 240
transferdigittimeout => 2
;courtesytone = beep

dialed peer number
I am trying to retrieve the "dialed peer number" but
it seems that ${DIALEDPEERNUMBER} is "broken".
Also, I know that I could extract the dialed number
from the ${CHANNEL} variable but this only works for
SIP and maybe IAX (untested). However, it doesn't work
for ZAP. All I get when using ZAP is something like
"Zap/1-1" (for SIP I would get

Cell phone dialed digits too short to be recognized by asterisk
I'm having a big problem where digits dialed from certain cell phones
are too short to be recognized by my asterisk server. I'm running AAH
2.8. Some cell phones don't allow the caller to hold down the digits
and have the tones play as long as they hold them down for. They just
play a short tone no matter how long you hold down the digits for.
Has anyone run into this before, and if

Call recording filename
I am using asterisk along with freepbx . When recording is enabled for a
extension the call record file made in /var/spool/asterisk/monitor contains
information like OUT(extension number)-(timestamp)-(uniqueid).wav . This can
be a big mess if there are more than 1000-2000 files in that folder and very
hard to locate a call recording based on call time and extension number who
dialled. I need to

How to get values of local channels context
The variable ${CONTEXT} stores the value of the current context. However if we are in a macro that will be the name of the macro. How do I access the name of the local channel's context.
For example:
[macro-test]
exten => s,n,NoOp(Context ${CONTEXT})
CLI shows:
-- Executing NoOp("Local/2592@1100006-2000-e802,2", "Context macro-test") in new stack

Starting call recording using a dynamic feature to call a macro
I have got call recording working on our 1.4.30 asterisk box together
with a recording pause ability and being able to play different audio to
each party at the start and end of the pause. This all works perfectly
but one wish is to have the audio files have a beep or something in them
so when you listen later you can tell where the audio was paused.
So I changed things around so that instead

Blocked Callerid
I have been discussing an asterisk solution with a company that has a custom written dialogic based solution.
The issue is that their dialogic solution can read callerid from incoming calls, even if the callerid is blocked.
I have read before that Asterisk can do this, and they want me to make sure that their new system will be able to do this.

Zap connection problem
Greetings all,
I'm trying to connect to an AT&T teleconference, but the
call is never marked as ANSWERED by asterisk and therefore won't bridge and
continue. The only work-around I've come up with so far is to dial like
this:
Exten => 744,1,Dial(Zap/g1,,p)
The "private" mode keeps the line open without trying to do a bridge, but
requires the

REPOST: features.conf *1 Call Recording
Hi all. I posted this earlier but never got any advice that helped. If
anyone knows how to get this going, I'd appreciate some advice.
I am attempting to setup Asterisk to allow me to press *1 while in a
call to use automon to record the call but have had absolutely no
success. Is there a trick to this?
