but when a call is comming from my IAX2 trunk,
where the calls should come from, the authenticate command doesn't get
any data. The strange thing is,
to get to the Auth command, a user (caller) has to dail DTMF digit 1,
which is working fine. Only the Authenticate command doesn't get it.
The same problem persist if I'm using the Read command.

Howto authenticate smartPhone via Active Directory
Yes, you are right. This link: https://www.redips.net/linux/android-email-postfix-auth/#section2
shows:
passdb pam {

used for authenticating Android. Problem #1 is that Slackware does not ship with PAM and the
AD/DC Samba4 does not use it. It is used on Slackware for a domain member, but I'm not sure I
should try configuring PAM on the AD/DC.
Is there some otherway I can get

Extensions SIP problems.
I am playing with the dialplan to get it working and I have a challange
with this error. I can't find what it means on the wiki :(
Any sugestions would be helpful at being able to forward it to the SIP
phone if it is online and avaliable but then let that fail and drop into
voicemail if it is not online or is busy.
cheers

Live real extensions.conf samples?
It would be nice to see a real "extensions.conf"
from a live business operation, every extensions.conf I've seen posted
or been able to dig up so far would fail bad in a live business operation.
I just have the beginings of mine and would like to make sure I don't
miss anything.
Most extensions.conf files I've seen wouldn't even let you dial "911" in

Howto authenticate smartPhone via Active Directory
Unfortunately, I tried for weeks to figure out passdb ldap without success. I guess I'm just
not knowledgeable enough about how to use ldap and Active Directory. The dovecot wiki
https://wiki2.dovecot.org/AuthDatabase/LDAPm doesn't help me much. All it says is:

When connecting to AD, you may need to use port 3268. Then again, not all LDAP fields are

BUG: LDAP extension failed to authenticate if 'base' DN configuration is empty ''
Dear Dovecot developers,
We have several context entries and want to authenticate a user against the

You might get better results with

It seems you'd have to configure OpenLDAP backend for Samba to have LDAP.

Authentication failure
Hi I'm having trouble routing a call between two A*k servers I admin.
SERVER- A: has a simple extensions set, and just needs to Dial to server
B, but authenticate as part of the dial:
exten =>
777,1,Dial(SIP/abc-777:mypassword at someip.no-ip.info:5071/777,40,trw)
exten => 777,2,Hangup
So that should pass the call to the server listening on port 5071 of
someip.no-ip.info,

command Authenticate
Hi folks,
Sorry to post bunch of messages today, I am deep into this and hope any help
from the experts.
I am using the command Authenticate as explained in wi-ki:
===================
Authenticate(password[|options])
Requires a user to enter a given password in order to continue execution. If
the password begins with the '/' character, it is interpreted as a file
which contains a list

I use Winnind to authenticate users from the Windows PDC - I have no

Have you looked at this? I've got an informal HOWTO if you'd like it.

Howto authenticate smartPhone via Active Directory
mj - thanks! That the first useful example I've received from any forum/list. I'm getting ready
to try my config (have to do so after hours), but I have some probably simple-minded questions:
Your example is not the complete dovecot-ldap.conf.ext file, right? Have you just given me
differences in your config from the "original"? You've kept the hosts, base, ldap_version,

BroadVoice - "Failed to authenticate on INVITE" error
I'm experiencing a "Failed to authenticate on INVITE" error (see
output below) whenever I try to MAKE a call through the Broadvoice
account. I noticed some others had the same problem but it went away
when they rebuilt Asteris w/ a new version. N such luck for me!
I'd be grateful for any assitance. Here's what I've done so far:
