Cisco 7941G-GE with Asterisk and CTPSEP odyssee
I have just got a Cisco 7941G and am experiencing the exact same
problem (phone is requesting .tlv file from TFTP server and never asks
for .cnf.xml file). The phone originally had SCCP on it, but I
downloaded and flashed with the latest Cisco SIP image (8.4(3)
released 2009-01-13). In reading your message below, it looks like you
were going to try an incremental upgrade?did you have any

Asterisk and Nuance Vocalizer TTS Engine
Hi,
How can I integrate Asterisk to Nuance TTS engine instead of Cepstral?
Has anybody done this? How is the architecture and can Java AGI be used to
communicate between them?

no dial to busy sip line
Hi list,
is it possible to get in the running dialplan the status of (SIP) lines
without using AGI or anything like that? What I want is a stepwise
calling: I have several SIP lines (let's say they are three) which I
want to dial to alternatingly. But I do not want to dial to a already
busy line and catch the busy. Instead I do not want to dial to that peer
but to the next one. I want to have

behaviour depending on count of used lines
Hi there,
I want to set up an extension set that acts different depending on the count
of used lines. I have a EuroISDN E1 board with mISDN and I only want to offer
10 lines. Therefore I set up a global variables LINES in the general section
of extensions.conf and instantiate it with 0. I a call is incoming I check
the LINES variable wether is 10 or more. If so I make a call transfer. If not

ANI with Pickup application
Hi,
does anyone of you have made it to get the ANI also picked up? I mean:
if I fetch a foreign call to me by using the pickup application I want
to see the callerID/ANI of the caller to the foreign extension. Is that
possible and if yes - how do I achieve that?

Zaptel/mISDN and call transfer
Hi list,
I am searching for a possibility to do a certain call transfer method
which is called "path replacement" in QSIG. But I want to do that in
DSS1 (EuroISDN). If my asterisk does a call transfer I want the machine
to signalize on dchan that the call path has to be replaced to a direct
connect between the caller and the called, i.e. my machine is to hang up
after the transfer and

cisco 7940 + sccp issue
Hi,
Does anyone know how to make this thing (7940) work with asterisk
(chan_sccp module) ?
I've set the configuration according to the wiki and now the phone just
keep asking for CTLSEP<xxx>.tlv from my tftp server.
In the cisco's web interface, I found this in the device logs :
0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800
0x8106, 0x0, 0x12300800

Cisco 7941G & Auth
Hi, I use Asterisk-1.4.22-3 (on Trixbox) and I have a problem with Cisco
7941G with firmware SIP41.8-0-2SR1S (but also with SIP41.8-3-1S), my problem
is that Cisco phone isn't authenticated on Asterisk.
In tftp directory I have:

cisco ip phne 7911G with asterisk
hi,
I'm trying to configure a Cisco IP Phone 7911G in order to work with Asterisk. I have loaded the 8.3.3 SIP Firmware of Cisco through a DHCP and a TFTP server. All seems ok but a file that is downloaded : term06.default.loads (I understand that is for 7906 model) instead of term11.default.loads (I understand that is for 7911 model). In any case the phone reboots well.
At this moment I

cisco 7970 sccp
Does anyone have the 7970 work with sccp?
I have used the example configurations from the wiki.
I can see that the phone is failing to retrieve the
CTLSEP<MAC>.tlv file and then is able to retrieve the
SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml file. The phone is hanging with the
message "updating ctl".
Thanks,
John

Registering Cisco 7942G IP phone with Asterisk!.
Hi,
?
We are new to IP phone firmware upgradation (Sorry if it is a re-post of previous question(s)).
?
Recently we have bought a cisco 7942G IP phone.
It currently has SIP 42.9-0-2SR1S firmware loaded on it.
We do not see any option to configure a SIP Proxy where we can provide SIP Server (Asterisk PC/Device)? IP address (with current firmware on it) to register it with Asterisk.
?
Do we need to

Cisco 7970, CTLSEP<mac>.tlv
I just wanted to post this so that it was out there and Googleable. Hopefully
it will save other people a bit of time.
If you have a Cisco phone (I was testing with a 7970, though presumably it would
affect 7960 and others as well) that is looping trying to fetch the CTL tlv file
- it may be because you are using Debians 'tftpd' (should be

R or S+ !
Hi all !
I'm sure this is a question that annoys some of you but I'm really
needing help on this !
I've been using R for about 1 year now. I'm a biologist, so stats are a
tool for my research not the end itself. During this time I've enjoyed
working with R but the graphical part of it drives me crazy and the
small possibilities in terms of reading some file formats also

Unitek iZi UPS 525
Hi everybody,
I've got an Unitek iZi UPS 525 with a serial interface. The supplied cable
looks fairly simple: RX->RX , TX->TX and GND->GND. Using this cable and
Minicom with 2400 8N1 I'm able to issue commands to the UPS using the
"Megatec Protocol" http://www.networkupstools.org/protocols/megatec.html so
I know the UPS is fairly "intelligent" :-) and the

Cisco 7940g Firmware load problems
I have a Cisco 7940G IP Phone. I am trying to load the firmware to SIP 3.2. The Phone just hangs in Defaulting CM to TFTP Server. It doesn't do anything else after that. I also have two other 7940g's that are the Universal Application Loader mode and say Protocol Application Invalid. I need to know what I can do to fix both these problems. I am running Asterisk@Home version 1.0. I have to

Yet another cisco 9760 7.x firmware failure
John;
I'm trying to flash 7.1. What I followwd was the wiki page you refer to.
My real question is do I need the .load file tftp debug shows the 7960G
is asking for? Voipsupply didn't supply it. I'm trying to verify that's
what I need befor I start hounding them.

7941G - Any success stories?
Has anyone successfully gotten the 7941G working on Asterisk? We're
looking at getting some of those instead of the 7940's, but there's really
not much info out there about them.
