Asttapi for Asterisk 1.2 Testers Needed (was RE: Asterisk TAPI - Outlook click2dial)
I've finished a patched version of asttapi that will work with asterisk
1.2. There were fundamental changes to the Asterisk Management
interface between 1.0 and 1.2 that broke asttapi. I think my patched
version will work on 1.0 and 1.2 branches, but I have no way of testing
since I don't have a 1.0 install nor do I want one :).
I'm looking for testers, if anyone's willing to

How to read or write Geolocation (RFC6442) data in SIP/PJSIP messages ?
Hello,
I'm having a look at section 13.1 from SIP Connect v2 doc (see [1]).
It refers to RFC6442 which gives the following example (sorry for its
length):
INVITE sips:bob at biloxi.example.com SIP/2.0
Via: SIPS/2.0/TLS pc33.atlanta.example.com;branch=z9hG4bK74bf9

Aastra - Alert-Info : how to stop auto-answer on call second leg ?
Hi,
When implementing click2dial feature, I can trigger an Aastra phone to
auto-answer using statement like :
SIPAddHeader(Alert-Info: info=alert-autoanswer);
This is very convenient when trying to reach a distant party (ie through
PSTN)
The trouble is when 2 Aastra are calling each other over the LAN, this
single statement is memorized somehow and both phones (caller and callee)
auto-answer.

don't have a public facing web page but you are looking for people to
click on but a personalized list of numbers. In order for someone to
access this directory you are going to be asking for a username/password
correct? If so just tie the username to a selection of 'my location'
checkboxes that I tick and then the app remembers this location next
time I log in (eg server side

Asttapi for Asterisk 1.2 Testers Needed (was RE:Asterisk TAPI - Outlook click2dial)
Had I have been smart originally I would have done this to start. Some
rudimentary documentation above and beyond Asttapi 0.10's poor
documentation is available along with the download at
http://www.kirkhamsystems.com/asttapi.

Centos7 GeoIP support with BIND
In my new Centos7 BIND DNS server, I am seeing messages in logwatch
about GeoIP.
Something new for me to learn about, and it seems, configure.
Checking to see what packages are available I find:
GeoIP.armv7hl 1.5.0-11.el7 @centos-base_rbf
GeoIP-data.noarch 1.5.0-11.el7 base
GeoIP-devel.armv7hl 1.5.0-11.el7 base

Spandsp kind of working
I have spandsp installed and working, but when it emails using Scotts
mailfax, the attachment is a dat file. I tried to rename the file to
.tiff or .pdf, but it will not open. In the /var/spool/asterisk/fax
folder, that faxes are there as tiffs, and I can open those without any
trouble. The problem is in the conversion from tiff to pdf. Is there
another package that needs to be installed for

Webalizer and GeoIP?
I have a small problem with webalizer. I use it to analyze logs of a small web
server hosting a single site, and the only thing I am interested in from
webalizer is the piechart diagram it produces about the geographic
distribution of people visiting the site.
However, the piechart it produces gives me a very crude information, with 50%
or so of visitors belonging to "unresolved",

Shell Script Help
I have a script file in my cron.hourly that contains a good number of
scripts I must call.
#!/bin/sh
sleep 15
perl /scripts/create_graph.pl &

perl /scripts/create_graph_out.pl &

Is there a way I can sleep random length to time before executing each

like.

available blacklists?

CentOS 6.X, iptables 1.47 and GeoLite2 Country Database
Hi
Specs in subject line: CentOS 6.X all latest patches), iptables 1.47, Apache2.2
I use the Geolite legacy databases together with iptables 1.47 to filter traffic for a variety of ports and only allow .AU traffic to have access.
Maxmind (https://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/geoip2/geolite2/) changed the default DB to the latest version which is GeoLite2, this leaves all users in need of the old

.htaccess file
Hello,
My home system on a DSL line is getting worn out by bad behavior robots.
Awhile back, I created a .htaccess file that block countries by IP blocks.
Its 2MB in size.
I have been running Linux since Slackware 1.0 and moved to Redhat around
2.0. I started after running a BBS using a doorway for newsgroups. Been
hooked ever since.
So, today, I tried following the directions for

Broadcast dialing/playback
Has anyone created like a broadcast dialplan, if so care to
share it. What I'd like to do is create an extension so when
someone calls that extension they can leave a voicemail. Right
after it is recorded, I need that voicemail to played on all
phones on that system... E.g.:
1) Administrator --> Dial special number
2) Record emergency message (e.g. Snow day don't come in)
3) Hang up

Upgrading BIND DNS Backend
Hi,
I am trying to upgrade frm INTERNAL DNS to BIND_DLZ.
I followed the procedure given in
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Changing_the_DNS_Back_End_of_a_Samba_AD_DC
and https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/BIND9_DLZ_DNS_Back_End.
When I start the BIND Service, it fails with an error. In journalctl -xe
we come to know that named service is unbale to open dlz_bind9_9.so file.
