modprobe Ztdummy is not working
Hi,
I've install zaptel and I don't have a Digium card installed in the machine.
So I want to install ztdummy to have Music On Hold working. I've follow
these instruction http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+timer+ztdummy and
at the point "modprobe ztdummy" it's failing. I'm getting these messages:
root@dubic:~# modprobe ztdummy

ztdummy/rtc
Hello,
Maybe I'm missing something here. What is the proper way to use RTC
with ztdummy now?
I'm using -HEAD from a day or two ago on Linux 2.6.11.11.
In zaptel/Makefile, I changed CFLAGS to:
CFLAGS+=-I. -O4 -g -Wall -DBUILDING_TONEZONE -DUSE_RTC
#-DTONEZONE_DRIVER
and I get..
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.11.11/build SUBDIRS=/usr/src/zaptel modules

ztdummy / RTC error
It's taken me about a day just to get ztdummy to compile into a module
that the amazon ec2 xen kernel will accept (you have to downgrade the
version of gcc among other things), but now I'm getting the following
error and I'm stumped:

Installing glusterfs ver 2.* on fedora7 i386 ?
I succeeded in installing 2.0.6 src rpm on my fedora7 i386 hosts,
but it does not work at all. Everytime I try to write files in the mounted folder,
the operation fails with error messages like ".... invalid argument".
I think there's difference between fc7 and glusterfs ver 2.* in the file attribute format.
Does anyone know how to fix this? The former version 1.3.* is not

Machine accounts, Samba 3, NT Domain migration
Greetings everyone
I finally succeeded in doing the seemingly most difficult thing, "following directions." I got my act together configuring the smb.conf and migrating using net rpc vampire into tdbsam. There are issues with this migration in which computer netbios names which are obviously all uppercase were not being created in /etc/passwd. I put my C cap on and converted the computer

limiting the number of connections per client
Hello All,
We have a very high utilization rsync server. We can handle large
number of connections at a time, but would like to limit to one
connection per client. we don't want multiple connections from the
same client. Is that possible?
Thanks

refactoring io_apic.c
OK, I need to do something like this to io_apic.c - split the hardware
specific parts out under mach-default, so we can override them for other
subarchitectures. It's not finished, needs header file and makefile
work. Would you be willing to take this if I do it? I'm not going to
bother if you're not, such refactorings are a pig to maintain out of

rebuilding rpmdevtools from epel5 SRC has fc7 dependent
hello,
I'm suprised that an SRC.RPM from the rhel5 repo needs a file from FC7.
I grabbed rpmdevtools from
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/5/
it rebuilds fine as EL5, but when I go to install it, it requires a version of rpm-build higher than the C5 base version (4.4.2-37)

wine-0.9.56-1.fc7 . Success with Visio 5. Problems with cups-pdf
Hi,
I am running wine-0.9.56-1.fc7 on a Fedora 7 system. I installed Visio 5
(must be around 10 years old!). The Visio seems stable when running under
wine, the graphics are good and I can save the vsd files under wine.
Two small problems
1. Unable to save complex diagrams to jpg or gif. For example, there is an
Office furniture template which includes walls, chairs and tables. The

Compiling git on FC7 64 bit
Having just upgraded to FC7, 64 bit (from FC4, 32 bit), I seem to be
having a compile problem with a current git version of Wine. I am
assuming plenty of others have already run into this and figured out the
fix. It is pretty much a stock FC7, with only a few additional packages
added so far (cups-devel, freetype, a few others).
Compiling works until here:
