Faulty voicemail
Hi All, I was made aware today that some of my calls coming in are not going to voicemail... Below are some logs, and the macro that should run on the incoming_pstn context for that extension. I can see that theres a non-zero exit before it gets to voicemail, but I've no idea why. In this case theres 2 SIP clients to sim-call. On other occasions it works fine. In the CDR logs, I can see

Siemens Gigaset C450 IP vs S450 IP

SIP call troubleshooting
Can someone help me what went wrong with this call? This call was initiated from dev/ttyI0 device on my asterisk server to mediatrix unit. Mediatrix unit user received the call and call started. I can hear them OK but they can not hear me correctly (cut-off sound, noise). Call was finally hunged up. Can anyone point out if there was something wrong? -*CLI> sip debug SIP Debugging Enabled

Messengers calls dropped (SIP problem?)
I have asterisk with following users; a) zaphfc ISDN card with two channels b) two mediatrix FXS gateways with four channels each c) 1x CISCO 7905G d) two notebooks with MS Messenger 4.7 Now, it seems that any combination works correctly in all combinations except when I call from MS messenger and then call is dropped always in 25th second of the call. Unfortunately it doesn't supply any kind of useful info in the web interface, so I had to connect via ?nc' to port 3493 to get the proper UPS name. I manage to to issue a successful ?upsc? command: root at galois:~# upsc megatec at 192.168.3.6

Cordless SIP Phones
Can anyone recommend a good cordless user-configurable SIP hardphone that is readily available in the states and doesn't cost $300? There seem to be a plethora of decent and affordable corded phones (like from Grandstream) but the search for a cordless unit seems elusive. I purchased a vtech 8100 online only to discover after receiving it that it is locked to vonage service. Thank you.

Hi, In FreeBSD, we aim for replacing gcc with clang. We can compile all of the base system except the loader which does not fit within the hardware limits (7680 bytes). Currently (r127066) clang/llvm is missing the target by 5 bytes. Thus it's 5 bytes from us being able to compile all of FreeBSD with clang (and replace gcc with clang). There's #6627

Siemens Gigaset IP in USA (S685 IP in particular)
For some unfathomable reason, Siemens USA doesn't offer the Gigaset IP range in the U.S. I'm particularly interested in the Gigaset S685 IP. Since it's DECT 6.0, and there's an English (UK) version, I'm thinking it should work just fine, after dealing with the walwart issue (and maybe caller ID signalling). Anyone imported one from the UK and using it in the US? for how

call queuing not detecting caller hang up when call originates from voip provider
Dear all I've got call queuing working when calls originate from my local site. After testing I migrated it to calls originating from our voip provider- it should ring an extension, then queue . All works well apart from if the caller hangs up when queued: the call hangs around in the queue as a phantom until one of the extensions answers it and it is destroyed Am I doing something wrong?

Browsing through a tunnelled VPN connection
