MeetMe Conference on Asterisk-1.4.13
Hello all,
I am planning to setup a MeetMe conference functionality on
Asterisk-1.4.13without having a Zaptel card. All users will be
calling through SIP only.
AFAIK, the said application needs a timer which makes use of the ztdummy
module. I have basically two (2) problems I am encountering here that [1] I
can't load the ztdummy.ko module and [2] Asterisk don't run when running it

"That is not a valid conference number.." with ztdummy running
I previously had Asterisk 1.0.7 running on a Linux 2.4.x kernel with
ztdummy. I was able to do things like meetme and music on hold. I
recently installed Asterisk 1.0.9 on a different machine with a Linux
2.6.x kernel running ztdummy. I installed and configured everything the
same way, but when I try to call into a conference room I get the error
message stating, "that is not a valid

Conference + E100P + H323
Hello,
I have a E100P card from digium and I try to implement a conference bridge in asterisk.
I wonder since I got the E100P card do I still need to load ztdummy for caller from h323 endpoints to work with Meetme?
I load the E100P driver but i did not load the ztdummy driver. My h323 caller does not hear any voice play by Meetme.
Looks like ztdummy is required as long as h323 is concern and

audio delay in meetme conference using ztdummy
I have Asterisk running on a Linux 2.4.x box with ztdummy. Once I did a
modprobe on ztdummy I was able to enter into a conference room using my
softphone clients. I'm using SJphone and Firefly. I have noticed a
significant delay (1 to 3 seconds) while talking within the conference room.
I have tried both clients, SIP and IAX protocols and various codecs. I have
also tried it from different

meetme conference latency degrades...
We have recently started making more frequent use of the meetme
conference of our * system.
We are using v1.0.8 with a 2.6.11 kernel on our system.
We generally have 4 callers in it: two with the gsm codec and 2 with g729.
Initially, the conference works fine and there is little latency. After
about 15min., though, the latency is very noticable and by 25min it's
unbearable.

Problem compiling ztdummy on centos 4, 2.6 kernel
Hi all,
I hope everyone is doing well. I just joined the list, and I've really
enjoyed all I have read about asterisk so far. Unfortunately, I'm having a
bit of trouble implementing this thing :).
By the way ... I did my best to search the forums, and also to use google
extensively, and while I have found pages with people with the same problem,
... The fix suggested on those sites,

ztdummy on Gentoo 2.6.10 Box
Hi Everyone,
I read through the list on the issues with the ztdummy driver which I
need for MeetMe, but I seem to have come across a problem that I cannot
seem to find an answer for.
I am running Gentoo 2.6.10 on an Intel box.
I have read the the wiki entries on the ztdummy and followed the
instructions as they relate to the 2.6 kernel.
Everything compiled great, but a modprobe ztdummy
