Quick DUNDi Poll Questions, For All Asterisk, Users, Please Give Feedback

DUNDi configuration problem
Hi peeps, I've been struggling with DUNDi for a few days now and I can't seem to make call from Asterisk A to Asterisk B. If I do a "dundi show peers", it finds the other peer but I can't seem to make any calls. Can anybody help me out here. Here's the situation: Machine 1: Debian with Asterisk 1.4.4 --> 192.168.1.103 Machine 2: AsteriskNOW --> 192.168.1.69 The

DUNDi + SIP Realtime
Good afternoon gentlemen (and ladies). A costumer of mine has many servers and each one maps their SIP extensions to the others via DUNDi. It works like a charm. SIP extensions can only register at one server, the one they "belong" to. In case one extension wants to call other that is registered in another server, DUNDi takes care of that by calling the other server using IAX2 and G.729

Using DUNDi in a failover environment
Greetings list, There have been quite a few posts on the list over the last few months about using DUNDi to ensure users are always reachable even when logged into different asterisk boxes (as part of a load balancing cluster). For example, yesterday, this was in a post: (Olle Johansson) " In combination with Dundi and the regexten= system, it's even more dynamic." Are there any

is dundi worth pursuing in this situation?
At work, I have 4 branch offices at which I've deployed asterisk. Call termination/origination at each branch office is handled either through a frac PRI or 3rd party SIP provider. Soon, I'll be replacing the legacy PBX at our HQ with asterisk. Each branch office has between 3 and 20 employees, each with their own extension and DID, and at headquarters, we have about 70 people, again

DUNDi Asterisk Cluster
We use only IP connections to our asterisk boxes. Given this our origination/termination providers usually send/receive traffic to/from our network on a single IP or limited number of IPs. In a DUNDi Asterisk Cluster, would each of the boxes need to be able to connect to our origination/termination providers directly, or would we need to setup a common gateway box to forward calls to/from our

DUNDi with two servers
Hi, I'm having difficulties with using DUNDi between two servers. If it were three I think I could control looping by limiting TTL, but with two I'm not sure how to prevent a loop causing bad things to happen. I've tried ttl=1 but things still blow up. The DUNDi configurations are pretty simple and work just fine in both directions as long as only one of them is using the switch

Clustering "NEW THREAD", Almost Working
All, I made some progress, but it seems the further I go with clustering the harder things get. Hmmm, I guess if it were easy, it would be documented...... Anyhow, I have 1 * server as the DUNDi peering master with a ttl=1. The only function of this server is to lookup where other sip peers are registered and forward that info on to the requesting * server. I have 4 * servers accepting

RE: DUNDi .... Halfway and CLUSTERING
At the moment I'm out of the office, but when I return I'll be certain to do that. Note that my solution is different from what you are working on with regexten, though I suspect some of the challenges that I've faced and overcome are not. I'm actually using UltraMonkey for load-balancing and failover of the Asterisk boxes, and my dialplan is set up so that it need not be changed

DUNDi precache
Does anyone have any information on how to use DUNDi precaching? Mark Spencer made a post 2 years ago where he hinted it may be possible to configure DUNDi such that you could centralise your DUNDi registration info by using precaching, instead of having each DUNDi peer meshed with every other one... http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/dundi/2004-October/000189.html However, it seems that no

Ultrastmonkey? Ultramonkeyast? Astrimonkey? High Availability and Asterisk
Hi All, I've been labing up some HA Asterisk senario's using LVS, Ultamonkey, Asterisk DUNDi, OpenSER. UltraMonkey setup went pretty easy, workes fine with Debian Sarge, used the example on the ultramonkey website. LVS_NAT is a different story, a bit more complex and requires another server/director sitting in front of 2 asterisk servers. Also have in production OpenSER proxying calls

Realtime fullcontact field contains nat device private ip
Hi All, Has anyone else noticed that when a sip phone sitting behind a nat registers to asterisk using realtime database, the private IP of the phone is put into the fullcontact field instead of the public contact IP. The database has the correct public IP in the ipaddr field and correct port number in the port field, which is actually what asterisk uses to to contact the device. This

how to DUNDi branch office with area code?
hi: i am new to asterisk and dundi. we have some branch office which will use asterisk in the future. they will form a full-mesh structure so every site can contact each other directly. i want to try setup dundi, then we don't need to modify every pbx when a new site add in the cloud. thanks to the great dundi document "caveman can do it" and other resource in the

Ser vs. DUNDi
With all of the recent talk on the list about DUNDi, I have a question. From the outset it appears that SER is often used for high availability solutions and as a tool for almost clustering Asterisk boxes behind it. It appears to me that DUNDi is providing a lot of this as well. Now I know DUNDi is not an application by itself to proxy SIP requests but can I hear any information out there that

Pjsip and regcontext (for DUNDi)
Hi guys, I'm building a PoC Asterisk 12 cluster based on a number of guides I've found on the net. The basic concept is using ARA in conjunction with DUNDi. I have set up ARA with pjsip according to this excellent guide here: https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Setting+up+PJSIP+Realtime This is working nicely, so now I am turning my attention to DUNDi, as per this guide here:

Asterisk 1.4.24 DUNDi CLI commands not found
Are there DUNDi CLI commands for Asterisk 1.4? I have searched google and I only see the dundi commands in Asterisk 1.6, although I see reference to them in older version's of Asterisk such as Asterisk 1.4 here: http://www.asteriskguru.com/tutorials/cli_cmd_14.html. When I view the CLI commands through help I don't see any of the dundi commands and there are errors when I run a command
