Connections rejected in DUNDi requests
Greetings list,
Wondering if anyone's come across this before.
I've configured a couple of our servers with a "privatedundi" context to allow calls to still flow between extensions even if they're registered to different servers . The DUNDi lookups seem to work fine, evidenced by the following on the originating server:

Problems with Outbound Calls
Hi everyone!
I'm quite a newbie at this Asterisk stuff so please bear with me.
We've recently decided to start training in Asterisk via AsteriskNow!
Asterisk version is 1.4.18.1 through AsteriskNow! 1.02
The box we have is paired with a Digium TE110P and we've managed to get
it to the point where incoming calls via a single DID (from NTT Japan)
can be received and answered

DUNDi configuration problem
Hi peeps,
I've been struggling with DUNDi for a few days now and I can't seem to
make call from Asterisk A to Asterisk B. If I do a "dundi show peers",
it finds the other peer but I can't seem to make any calls. Can
anybody help me out here.
Here's the situation:
Machine 1: Debian with Asterisk 1.4.4 --> 192.168.1.103
Machine 2: AsteriskNOW --> 192.168.1.69

Using DUNDi in a failover environment
Greetings list,
There have been quite a few posts on the list over the last few months about using DUNDi to ensure users are always reachable even when logged into different asterisk boxes (as part of a load balancing cluster).
For example, yesterday, this was in a post: (Olle Johansson)
" In combination with Dundi and the regexten= system, it's even more dynamic."

Modifying dialplan for DUNDi compatibility
Greetings all,
I'd like to start implementing a private DUNDi peering group between one of
our asterisk servers hosted at a datacentre and the various asterisk boxes
sitting at clients' premises.
On most of the clients' boxes the dialplan will have an [in-pstn] section
containing the various numbers that should be recognised by that box. Where
they're from a VoIP provider they

SIP configuration issues
Apologies if this is a repeat: I trawled through the archives and couldn't
find a reasonable answer, so I'm asking here. I have an Asterisk install
connecting from behind a NAT device (DSL modem) to a SIP proxy (in my case,
Broadvoice). I have an sjphone softphone on a Windows PC also behind the NAT
device that connects to the Asterisk install, and using this setup I've been

DUNDI behind NAT?
Hi,
i'm having asterisk with sip working fine, including dundi lookups. The only
problem i'm having is that the dundi answer allways contains my internal,
private ip. Is there any way to set the targeting ip that is sent out in the
dundi answer (to my public ip or any other where i want to receive the
call)?
Regards,
Andreas.

Unwieldy outbound macro
I have the following pair of macros defined to handle outbound calls from *.
Rather than specifying full dialstrings in the main body of extensions.conf,
outbound dial commands are made using a macro call as follows:
Macro

The final gateway defined is nearly always a fallback to PSTN if none of the

Dundi and unknown remote peers
Hi guys,
Is it possible to allow remote peers to connect to your local DUNDi
Asterisk box, even if you don't have them listed in the dundi.conf?

I wouldn't exactly say that it is too difficult but that the target
audience for the default examples is not the average person/entity
that could make use of the power inherent with DUNDi. When an
average * user/admin wants to use DUNDi they will want to start out

DUNDi performance
Hello,
I have a weird problem. My * server, a Pentium Celeron 1200 with 512 MB
Ram and a Digium E100P card, is performing very well for IAX2, SIP and
ZAP communication. There is no delay in transcoding, no packet loss etc etc.
Now I added DUNDi, and I added +/- 8 peers in the dundi-test context and
1 peer in the GPA-bound e164 context. My server shows all but 1 peer as
OK. DUNDi Ping times

Dundi - Multiple Results
Hello,
If one is using Dundi, and it returns multiple, weighted routes to
a destination, how is that applied in the dial-plan?

DUNDi
Is there a way to have a dundi host advertise extensions for another server?
A-----------B-----------C
I'd like A to reach C through B. A and C would handle the call, B would just be the DUNDi intermediary.
Assuming A has 101-199
B has 201-299
And C has 301-399
A sample dundi/extensions/iax config for B is all I need. I can get single DUNDi queries running fine(A->B, B->C,

Macro(dundi-dundi-test, ${ENTEN}) to return +101 on lookup failure ?
I'm looking at finding a way for my Macro(dundi-dundi-test,${ENTEN})
when I dial out on the dundi-test network to return a +101 to my
[dundi-test-out] context, if the number being dialed on the dundi-test
network does not exist, then I will route the call out using my pstn
or voip connection i have. I have a feeling it will have to be the
switch => DUNDi/dundi-test that will have to return

Dialstatus Oddity in 1.2
Hello all,
I am working on a creating some intelligent failover dial-plan
logic and I'm running into something that I'd like some feedback on.
Basically, it appears that if you place a call to an IAX2 peer that
refuses the connection, or is unavailable, a NOANSWER dialstatus is
returned.
Example:

Passing variables between two DUNDi/IAX2 peers
Hi.
I am trying to pass a variable from one Asterisk PBX
to another.
I'm using DUNDi with IAX2. Is there a way to do it?
I tried the following but it fails.
On peer1:
[dundi-outgoing]
switch => DUNDI/priv
exten => s,1,Set(CDR(userfield)=test)
exten => s,2,Set(DUNDIVAR=${ARG1}#TEST)
exten => s,3,NoOp(Passing ${DUNDIVAR} to DUNDi peer.)
exten => s,4,Goto(${DUNDIVAR},1)

Callmanager 3.3(5) and Asterisk with ooh323 problem
I have searched and searched for over a week on this but can't seem to
find the issue. Calls from CallManager to Asterisk are being
disconnected immediately. I have setup CallManager and Asterisk per
Shaun Ewing's pdf

I have installed Asterisk 1.4.0-beta3 on Fedora Core 5. I got libpri,
