Zaptel drivers for Solaris?
I'm looking to build the zaptel drivers on a Solaris 10 X86 box. I've
found the driver source code on
https://svn.sunlabs.com/svn/solaris-asterisk but this source is posted
along with Asterisk 1.2.7.1 Does anyone know of a fresher version? Is
this code considered "somewhat ready for prime time use"?
Thanks,
Frank

Where to best start looking for voicemail/moh sound quality problem?
I'm running Asterisk 1.2.13 on a Solaris 10 X86 box behind an IPCop
firewall on a 5Mbps down/512 up cable connection.
I'm having sound quality problems when users call in for voicemail and
with music on hold. The sound is choppy and muffled while souding pretty
good for calls inside the network.
I'd appreciate some pointers as to where to start looking to improve things.

Zaptel / Asterisk on Solaris
Hello nice people :)
I have been struggling with trying to get Zaptel from
http://www.slimey.org/zaptel-solaris.tar.gz on a Solaris 5.11 VM I obtained
from the OpenSolaris Website. I have tried installing all the necessary
packages, yet I keep getting errors no matter if I try using the gcc
available at sunfreeware.com OR the blastwave CSWgcc packages and GNU
'gmake' (as suggested

ast_dynamic_str_thread_build_va() is defined with 6 args but only called with 5 args??
I'm having a problem with asterisk-1.4.4 dumping core under Solaris 10
with a SIGSEGV error.

Detect incoming fax on PSTN and route to fax machine on DADHI extension?
I'm running an AsteriskNow V1.7.1 with both a PSTN connection and fax
machine. Both are connected to a DAHDI board. I'd like to route
incoming PSTN fax calls to the extension of the fax machine and process
non-fax calls through different dialplan.logic.
What's the best way to go about doing this? I've looked into Fax for
Asterisk, bit I'm not sure that I want it or NVFax

Anyone have experience with Asterisk under Solaris 10 X86?
I've built Asterisk from recent CVS sources on a Solaris 10 X86 box. I
tweaked the makefile to get the build to run using gcc. And most
recently ran into va_args problems with new code in asterisk/utils.c.
It seems to run OK and register with my VoIP provider, but I'm still
having trouble setting-up connections to my Sipura SPA-3000.
Does anyone have some experience under S10 X86?

How to test H.323
I'm trying to set-up H.323 support under Asterisk. I built a recent CVS
release and the ooh323c code from the asterisk-addons. Everything built
and installed and the H.323 stuff loads OK when asterisk starts.
What is the easiest way to check if the H.323 code is working? I've
edited the h323.conf and extensions.conf files but I'm sure that things
aren't right. I've

Busy signal from IAXy when not connecting to my Asterisk box
I'm having a problem with my IAXy not always connecting to my Asterisk box.
When I pick-up the phone plugged in to the IAXy I get a busy signal. I
have to hang-up the phone and wait a few seconds after the orange LED goes
out and then try again.
When this happens I don't see any connection attempts in the Asterisk -r
output.
When I do get the IAXy to connect to Asterisk I get a

Zaptel and Solaris X86
I'm trying to get Asterisk working with Zaptel support. The Zaptel
driver packages that I can find are too old to work with current
versions of Asterisk. Has anyone ported anything recent?

freebsd 4.10 and port misc/zaptel
hey asterisk folk,
i'm new to asterisk, but not to freebsd as i've been using it and
developing on it for quite a few years. we're planning on deploying
asterisk as part of a voip provider's service platform and naturally i'd
rather be using freebsd instead of a linux based distro. as such, i am
very, very excited that there is work going on towards porting the
zaptel drivers

dahdi on solaris
Hello all,
Does anybody know if is it possible to install dahdi on solaris 10?
I've only found a zaptel modified code for solaris at solarisvoip site.
I'd appreciate any comment or experience about asterisk + dahdi/zaptel on
solaris..
Best regards,

Trouble building R 2.9.2 under solaris 10
I've been trying to compile 2.9.2 under solaris 10 the last couple days without success. configure runs fine and I'm using GNU Make. We're trying to build under 64 bit (and I'm wondering if this might be part of our problem). Here is the output from the make...

Fwd: Asterisk on Solaris 10 (AMD Opteron, Sun Fire X2100)
Hello all,
I really appreciate the replies I've gotten about this so far
(especially the support for wanting to run it on Solaris!).
The core issue seems to have been missed, though -- is there any way
to run a complete Asterisk solution on Solaris 10 (including
music-on-hold and conferencing)? This probably comes down to a few issues:
- Is ztdummy (a component of Zaptel) *really*

Problems with smbpasswd on a solaris 2.5.1 server
I downloaded and installed the precompiled solaris 2.5.1 samba
executables on one of our file servers.
(The server is running solaris 2.5.1. My previous posting about
running the 2.5.1 executable on a 2.5 machine is moot --- I had
simply been misinformed about the status of the machine.)
The 'diagnosing your samba server' procedure checks out until

Audiocodes MP-11X configuration to work with Asterisk
I'm trying to get a MP-114 FXS/FXO gateway working with Asterisk. It
registers fine and I can call between the MP-114 and other extensions,
but I'm not having much luck with the FXO ports. syslog shows the
problem to be in the MP-114 configuration.
Can anyone help?

Asterisk on Solaris 10 (AMD Opteron, Sun Fire X2100)
Hello, world!
I'm considering running Asterisk 1.2.4 on Solaris 10 on a Sun Fire
X2100 server or two (Opteron CPU, nForce 4 chipset), and apparently
this works. I've read that the Zaptel package won't work on anything
other than Linux, since it's intended to hook into the Linux kernel
in the form of a kernel module. This concerns me, since I've read
that ztdummy, the
