input request: progzone and zaptel hangup
Hi
I noticed that my system has three sets of data regarding telephony
behaviour in different parts of the world:
1. libtonezone , part of zaptel, and the data is from the source file
zaptel/zonedata.c . Zaptel seems to use it for generating some tones.
2. /etc/asterisk/indications.conf . Asterisk uses it to play tones of
busy, congestion, dialtone, etc. (PlayTones). The format is pratically

Weird issue with outbound calls and MOH
Hi,
We have a PRI Trunk (physical E1) and we are getting
some rather weird and very isolocated problems. On outbound calls to
specific numbers, it would seem to me that DTMF from the remote side is
affecting the local asterisk system. Basically what happens:
- We make a OUTBOUND call via the PSTN (PRI Trunk) to a remote System
- Remote Answers, and converse
- Remote sends DTMF on their site to

plotting Principle components vs individual variables.
Dear R,
I'm trying to plot the first principle component of an analysis vs the first
variable but am having trouble. I have no trouble doing the initial plot
but have difficulty thereafter.
First I want to highlight some points of the following data set
list(running)

X100m X200m X400m X800m X1500m X5K X10K Marathon

HT488 doesn't disconnect FXO
Hi,
I have HT488 with it's FXO connected to Israeli PSTN (bezeq) when
dialing to that PSTN line asterisk see gets the call and direct it to
the right extension but if the extension doesn't answer and the dialer
is hanging the call the extension will keep on ringing.
I'm not an expert but it seems like my asterisk doesn't recognize the
hangup signal from the HT488 -or it's the

At the cost of breaking the thread I'm going to change your subject and
replace 'Principle' by 'Principal'. I just can't stand it any longer...
OK, here is how I would solve your other problems. First put

"Western Samoa", "Cook Islands")

political maps world maps in R, wrld_simpl
dear all,
I'm a newbie in map tools. I was asking to perform an apparently very
simple task.
I have a list of countries (about fifty all over in the world) scored
with a real positive value. Eg
Country score
Italy .56
UK .58
Korea .41
Mexico .63
...
I wish to plot geographical maps where every country is filled with a
color depending on his score.
Using maptools library and

Is restart of span a concern on PRI?
Hi Guys,
I have been checking logs and noticed this over the last night. Should I be
concerned? and where to look for further details?

Asterisk Generating NetworkOOO (ISDN Cause Code 38)
I have a legacy ISDN PBX (Network Alchemy Argent Office) connected to
Span 2 of a Digium Wildcard TE205P.
Recently Calls from this PBX have been failing with ISDN Cause Code 38
(Network Out of Order!). The problem seems to be getting worse and is
now effecting more calls than not (although this could just be because
I'm aware of it).
Once the ISDN PBX has decided the Network's Out of

Back to back E1 - asterisk <=> toshiba pbx - Calldroping issue
As these problems are very time sensitive and frustrating, I suggest you
document each change you make and do them one at a time so you can
actually know what the problem was and not introduce new problems in the
process.
Find someone who is on the phone quite a bit and will give you an honest
evaluation of the call dropping situation (unless you yourself are
experiencing this issue too).

WANTED: Toll-Free gateways in Europe/Asia/Africa/South America
The freenum.org project wants to use your trunks! The freenum.org project is an ENUM parallel tree, which has as an eventual goal the distribution of ENUM numbering in nations or areas which due to political or other issues are not able to get secure, inexpensive, or functional ENUM capabilities.
As a preliminary round, we're putting toll-free gateways into the system for various nations.
