Which Quad Port FXO is Best?
I'm looking to handle 3 PSTN lines with my Asterisk server. I have a
Digium TDM22B and Sipura 3000. The Sipura works great, but the TDM22B
seems to have terrible problems with my board---virtually all
peripherals need to be disabled in BIOS, and then there is terrible
noise, terrible silence and virtually no ability to use DTMF in IVRs. I
really wish the TDM22B worked, because I much

meetme application
Hi there,
I know this question is kind of stupid. But, I don't know anywhere
else to ask. I've received some answers when I asked about the need of having
a zaptel interface to make the meetme application work, that said that it was
better to have a real hardware then the zaptelrtc software modules.
So, my question is, would any of the following cards work with the meetme

Which phones are good, or at least acceptable, for home and office
I am looking to replace all of the old "Bell" (POTS) phones in my home
and office with IP phones. As you can imagine I don't have a huge
budget to work with but I want phones that will provide acceptable voice
quality and durability.
There are basically three categories as I see it
1. satellite phones (low cost, low function)
2. primary domestic phone (good quality, POE capable,

recommends on CentOS + Via Epia CN10000EG
I'm considering building a network gateway using a Via EpiaCN10000EG
motherboard like seen here:
http://www.logicsupply.com/product_info.php/cPath/79/products_id/444
I've heard that this is a pretty recent mobo and drivers for it are in
Ubuntu but that a 2.6.9.x CentOS kernel might have troubles with it.
Anyone have any opinions on this mobo?
Thanks

It's about time! -- Digium PCI-Express Cards
Just noticed this today:
Digium TE220B Dual Span T1/E1 PCI Express Card with Octasic DSP-based Echo
Cancellation Module<http://www.voipsupply.com/product_info.php?products_id=3352>
It's about time Digium got on the ball and made PCI-e cards. What are
people's experiences with this card? Anyone know if there are plans for a
PCI-e analog card for FXO use?

Learn To build IVR
Dear All.
I'm very new to CT, but attracted by asterisk.
I plan to start learn to build IVR, based on asterisk.
Do I need FXO/FXS card to start building simple IVR box ?
Can I use OEM X100P - FXO PCI Card ( http://www.digitnetworks.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=28 ) to start build an IVR box ?
What is the cheapest FXO PCI card that can use with asterisk to build my first IVR box ?

Vorbis decoder chip on SparkFun
I'm open to flames if this has already been posted.
http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=8300
As of April 17th, SF listed a new Ogg Vorbis decoder chip that is
seriously listing for $10 USD. I'm excited. I think I'll buy a couple
and integrate them into an IR streaming project I've been tinkering with.

Newbie: confusion with the new FXO/FXS card
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to set up a Asterisk server. I have two cards - one is an
BeroNet BN2S0 with two ISDN lines (4 channels):
http://www.adcomtec.com/webstore/beronet_bn2s0.php?cat=90
and a Rhino R8FXX with one FXO module and two FXS:

I would like to set up an Asterisk server with 8 phones, which will

ZoomTel x5v Model 5565: is it any good?
Hi List,
Have you got experience with this product?
http://www.voipsupply.com/product_info.php?products_id=885
From its description, it looks like the ideal appliance to set up some
"double play" ISP data / telephony offer and I was wondering if anybody
was using it and what it was worth.
Cheers,
Jean-Michel.

Dualphone "LAN" SIP/DECT phones
G'day.
Has anyone here used the Dualphone SIP products (their LAN range)
together with Asterisk sufficiently to comment on them?
http://dualphone.net/
https://www.dualphone.com.au/product_info.php/products_id/51
I am interested, specifically, in these questions:
* are they generally reliable and good quality, especially audio
quality?
* do they work well with Asterisk for

Naive suggestions for (kinda) funding
First of all, don't shoot me if I got some things wrong.
I personally recommend (without much success :-)) to buy from www.cheeplinux.com (Definite Software), because I believe this is of some help to the CentOS project. At least, to some people involved in it (please correct me if I'm wrong).
?1. Anyway, as PayPal is _not_ an option for some countries, donations to CentOS.org can't

fxo connection in the UK
Thank you very much for this hint. My apologies that I messed up a thread for my post - I had a
message open and simply clicked on the link ... slap slap.
Would anyone know of a better choice to multiplex three fxo lines into an asterisk box? I can still
use three Digium X100P cards, but methinks, a seperate unit would be better.
Thanks again,
Peter

End of migration: adding support for some analog phones
Hi,
during gradual migration to Asterisk, I put Asterisk in front of a legacy
Alcatel PBX:
PRI PSTN <--> Asterisk <--> E1 cable <--> Alcatel PBX
After successful deployment of VoIP phones, it's time to drop Alcatel PBX!
I'd like to keep some of analog lines to support modem, fax and some older
stuff. What's the best choice? A channel bank or a TDM2400P card?
Can I

Does anyone know of any providers that can offer local numbers based in
the UK via IAX or SIP? We're looking at getting a number based in the
UK.
Thanks!

DAHDI phantom pickup when ringing
Hi,
I've been experiencing trouble with my DAHDI channels for some time and have
finally decided to try and resolve the issue.
Essentially, the problem I am having is that when a call comes in, and my
DAHDI phones therefore ring, Asterisk thinks that one of the handsets has
picked up to answer the incoming call - whereas in actual fact it is still
on hook. The call then gets instantly
