AFAIK, and my setups thus far, unless you have NodeB’s public key in Nodes C-Z (with NodeB’s public/reachable IP configured in Nodes C-Z) *and* you have the PublicKeys for NodesC-z configured in NodeB, there is no way that NodesC-Z will be able to establish a connection directly with NodeB, and it’ll have to forward via NodeA (or any other node that do have a direct connection established with

I did notice the that interface we have named br-lan did not have the proper broadcast and netmask information. I adjusted that and it looks like its now connecting but still running into issues. Here is a snipet from the new system we are trying to connect in (from the /var/log/tinc.log file) 2018-03-15 22:57:26 tinc.NETNAME[871]: Read packet of 74 bytes from Linux tun/tap device (tun mode)

Advertising a Public IP address
Hi all I feel like I should know the answer to this question, like I read it someplace sometime, but it evades me right now. It's also an opportunity to say hello to the list and many thanks for writing and supporting tinc vpn! We make great use of it at rhizomatica. So, Let's take this example setup. I have two tinc nodes (A and B) behind a firewall NodeA and NodeB have 192.168.1.2

Use ISP's SIP account for IP-PSTN gateway
Hi, I'm thinking of introducing Asterisk on Linux for IP PBX. Now I'm using ISP that has VoIP service and I have VoIP terminal box for that ISP and a SIP account for SIP server of the ISP. Now, what I would like to do is the following. A. Setup IP PBX on Linux by using Asterisk. B. For IP-PSTN gateway, configure Asterisk to use my ISP's SIP account and connect to my ISP's IP

Making a VM directly accessible from a public IP
Hi, Currently my Xen server is working like a charm. I use Xen 3.2.1 with a Debian Etch Dom0 and Etch DomU. The VM have access to the network/internet using NAT. Each VM is given a virtual network interface and a private IP 10.0.0.x. What I would like to do know is that a VM can be directly accessible from another public IP. So my physical server is at 91.121.xx.xx. My VM is at 10.0.0.1 (on

is it possible to let two nodes in different LAN directly connected with another public server ?
pc1(LANa) ----poor connection ----> VPS <--------- PC2(LANb) pc1 and pc2 used to connected directly with tinc, since pc1 used to have WAN IP(pppoe), but the pppoe IP is not WAN IP anymore (ISP changed to let all ADSL user in a LAN). if I let the two pc connect to a VPS with tinc, can later connections between pc1 and pc2 be directly ? for example, ssh from pc1 to pc2 but not proxyed by

PJSIP configuration for AWS/EC2 based Asterisk 13.1.0
Hello All, I have an Asterisk server v13.1.0 running on EC2 and I am able to connect and register SIP devices and "see" them on the asterisk CLI. I am also able to place calls, but I am not able to hear any audio on either end after the call is picked up. I was wondering if you can tell me what a minimal configuration for Asterisk on EC2 looks like. My current pjsip.conf configuration

PJSIP configuration for AWS/EC2 based Asterisk 13.1.0
OK. I think I found the issue. The key is to add rtp_symmetric=yes Here's what my final configuration looks like: [transport-udp] type=transport protocol=udp bind=0.0.0.0 ;; for within EC2 local_net=172.31.32.0/20 ;; For softphones within EC2 local_net=192.168.1.0/24 external_media_address=<publicIPOfEC2Instance> external_signaling_address=<publicIPOfEC2Instance>

FW: Routing public IP''s through a gateway
If understand the setup correctly based on previous emails, it looks like this: [Internet] <-> [202.172.122.211 (eth1) {Gateway Machine} 202.172.122.74 (eth2)] <-> [202.172.122.75 (eth1) {Other Machine}] So, according to your emails, your external (eth1) interface on the Gateway machine ** needs to be .209 not .211 or .210 ** (as this is where the ISP''s

T100P & Integrated (D&V) T1 -> Public IP Range
Hello, I have a T100P card on a Red Hat 8 machine with Asterisk installed on it and I'm trying to get the data routing properly through it. I purchased an Integrated Data/Voice T1 Line with channels 1-6 voice and 13-24 data. The line is plugged directly into the Asterisk machine's T100P card. Previous to the asterisk set up we had an Adtran router that connected everything to what the
