pridialplan/prilocaldialplan
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Can someone explain what the parameters pridialplan and prilocaldialplan are? What do they do and do I need them? I've connected an asterisk box via E1 (sangoma) to an alcatel 4200 pbx. The pbx technican complains about the format of the nr asterisk sends. Set(CALLERID(all) not working with 'unknown' call?
Hi, This is really strange (but probably simple solution). The CALLERID(all) setting doesn't seem to work when the incomming callerid is 'unknown'. Dialplan looks like this: exten => _3072,1,Answer exten => _3072,n,Set(CALLERID(all)=DIRECT <0850553072>) exten => _3072,n,Dial(SIP/2001&SIP/2002&SIP/2003&SIP/2004&SIP/2201&SIP/2202&SIP/2

Asterisk Feature attended transfer
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I'm using the biult in feature attended transfer. If someone calls me, I hit the #, dial another extension and connect these two extensions. When hitting # and dialing the nr, asterisk only diales the new nr for 15 seconds. Is it possible to increase this time? I've only found the timeout for the digits, not for the call time. Anyone

Enhancement of wbinfo in samba2.2.6pre2
Hi, Most of the samba-commands takes a option for smb.conf file exept for wbinfo. It should be nice to have that functionallity in wbinfo also. /Patrik -- "In a world without fences who needs Gates" Patrik Gustavsson, Senior Technical Consultant patrik.gustavsson@sun.com Telephone: +46 60 671540 http://glen.sweden Mobile: +46 70 3551040 SUN MICROSYSTEMS

PAM session trouble
I am using PAM and pam_smbpass.so with Samba 2.999 (Debian sid package). If, in /etc/pam.d/samba, I set session required pam_smbpass.so then login fails, and the log says: [2002/08/04 15:43:26, 0] auth/pampass.c:smb_pam_error_handler(73) smb_pam_error_handler: PAM: session setup failed : Module is unknown [2002/08/04 15:43:26, 1] smbd/session.c:session_claim(103) pam_session

security = server "random" failures
I have a Windows 2K SP2 terminal server and a Samba 2.2.7a server. The Samba server uses security=server with the 2K terminal server as the password server. Users log in to the terminal server and attempt to access (always the same) share on the Samba box. When there are no sessions open to the Samba server the connection from the terminal server always works; subsequent connections (with

Best phone for easy provisioning
Does anyone have any recommendations for a phone that has easy to understand/implement central provisioning? I've used CISCO 79XX phones, and they're great (but too expensive). I like Grandstream phones, but their provisioning sucks. What is everybody else using in large environments where individual config is not an option? ---------------------------------------- Rod Bacon

winbindd problem enumrating users and groups
I have been unable to configure a Samba server I am testing to enumerate the users and groups in our local NT domain, but I have been able to configure it to enumerate the users and groups in our W2K domain. I am hoping someone has some suggestions for what to try next. The Samba server is running Linux installed with the XFS RedHat 7.2 installer CD. I get the same results running Samba 2.2.3a

Looking for NTLM config example
Now that I am running Thunderbird on Linux and away from Windows/Outlook, I'd like to take another run at setting up NTLM authentication from Thunderbird to my Samba4 AC/DC. With the help of the samba maillist folks I was able to set up NTLM authentication for domain user login. I should be able to do the same for email! But, I need help. I went to

winbind: NT_STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER
Hi, I'm running a linux RedHat 7.2 box with samba 2.2.4. I want to use winbind for authentification. The samba server is a member server in a W2K domain. I followed the steps in the winbind help which comes with the samba distribution (http://localhost:901/swat/help/winbind.html). Joining the domain was successfull: $ smbpasswd -j DOMAIN -r PDC -U toto | INFO: Debug class all level = 100

Looking for NTLM config example
Also it seems we lack support for NTLMv2. If you want to use NTLM you need to permit use of NTLM(v1), which is usually not enabled by default. Authenticating against a Windows 2000 DC?
I apologize in advance if this is a FAQ, but I couldn't find the FAQ document for this list. I also could not find anything relevant in other Samba documentation sources like http://hr.uoregon.edu/davidrl/samba.html. There seems to be plenty of information about using Samba *as* a DC, but I want to know if I can use Samba *with* a Windows 2000 DC. We have two DCs running Windows 2000, a W2K

using external authentication to validate samba users
Hi, Is there any way to use an external program to validate users' passwords? It would be something like an exec command that would return the authentication result. What I'm willing is to be able to authenticate a samba user against a radius server. Why? Because I get to use tokens (one life time password) against different realms. Has anybody an idea?
