MCI vs. XO/Allegiance
Hello All,
Anyone out there using ISDN PRI from either MCI or XO/Allegiance?
Gotta make the choice today and the difference per month is only about
$25 in favor of MCI.
Billing is pretty much the same between the two so I have pretty much no
point of reference on which to choose.
Any thoughts from anyone experienced with these two compnies would be
greatly appreciated!
Thanks,

SIP Peering--call terminated prematurely
I am attempting to establish SIP peering between Asterisk and an AltiGen
soft PBX. This is my first experience with SIP peering.
I can successfully make both inbound and outbound calls to/from a softphone
on the AltiGen system (network access is provided by a PRI on the Asterisk
system), but they are disconnected unexpectedly.
The attachment is a redirect of the Asterisk CLI during a call that

Can anybody recommend a good T1/PRI provider ?
Are you looking for local or Long distance? What will these T1s primarily be
used for(inbound/outbound, domestic, local, long distance, international)
How important are per minute rates to you? how many minutes do you expect to
use per month?
We are in Tampa Florida and have 15 T1s from several different providers so
I may be able to refer you to one if it's a match to what you're

Integration with Altigen
I would like to integrate * with an existing Altigen PBX. I want to spend
as little money as possible to make it happen. My main goal is to
inexpensively connect a branch office to the phone system. Eventually I
would like to replace the Altigen system with an Asterisk server so I don't
want to spend any money on Altigen hardware.
Currently the Altigen has analog interfaces with a couple

I've contacted people like QWest, XO, etc.. and their rates are extremely

involves VoIP?
Thanks,

Fw: Interconnecting to an Altigen PBX?
Has anyone got Asterisk talking successfully to an Altigen PBX using h323?
I can successfully make calls from Asterisk to Altigen, but calls from
Altigen to Asterisk get a fast busy.
There seems to be a lack of h323 example files (or maybe I'm looking in the
wrong places) as well as a severe lack of h323 documentation from Altigen.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Upgrade from Altigen
Hi Everyone.
I have a client that uses an Altigen system. I am really new to PBX systems
so all this is totally foreign to me.
They currently have 5 inbound trunk lines and about 20 analog phones.
>From what I can gather they are using the Altigen Quantum cards that support
8 extensions and 4 trunks.
>From what I can gather the solution is a TDM04B and TDM01B to bring in the
lines from

2B Channel Transfer on XO-based T1
I'm trying to get "blind transfer" from an incoming DAHDI line to an
external number to work on an * 1.6 install using a T1 from XO. The
documentation is very "distributed" and incomplete, so while it's not
working, it's definitely more likely my error somehow. Couple questions if
anybody is out there who even knows what TBCT is.
1) Is this even

Filling in a Zero Matrix
Hi
I am very new to R and statistical programming in general. I am trying to reorder data from a .csv file. I have managed to import the data and create a zero matrix. I am now trying to fill the matrix. There seems to be some problem with this section of my code. I have highlighted the dodgy code in red. Please help if possible.

lmer model building--include random effects?
Hello,
This is a follow up question to my previous one http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/e4/help/08/02/3600.html
I am attempting to model relationship satisfaction (MAT) scores
(measurements at 5 time points), using participant (spouseID) and
couple id (ID) as grouping variables, and time (years) and conflict
(MCI.c) as predictors. I have been instructed to include random
effects for the

Comparing nonlinear, non-nested models
Dear R users,
Could somebody please help me to find a way of comparing nonlinear, non-nested
models in R, where the number of parameters is not necessarily different? Here
is a sample (growth rates, y, as a function of internal substrate
concentration, x):
x <- c(0.52, 1.21, 1.45, 1.64, 1.89, 2.14, 2.47, 3.20, 4.47, 5.31, 6.48)
y <- c(0.00, 0.35, 0.41, 0.49, 0.58, 0.61, 0.71, 0.83, 0.98,

[PATCH libguestfs 0/4] Add a libvirt backend to libguestfs.
This preliminary patch series adds a libvirt backend to libguestfs.
It's for review only because although it launches the guest OK, there
are some missing features that need to be implemented.
The meat of the patch is in part 4/4.
To save you the trouble of interpreting libxml2 fragments, an example
of the generated XML and the corresponding qemu command line are
attached below. Note the

v1 was here:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-October/msg00047.html
However it was broken in a few ways. First of all the documentation
was broken because "/**" enhanced comments were not permitted on
macros. This is fixed in the new 1/4 patch.
Secondly we didn't use single_element() everywhere possible, which
is fixed in the new 4/4 patch.

[PATCH 0/2] Don't use snapshot=on
QEMU upstream has broken snapshot=on ... again.
These two patches stop using it entirely. Instead we run
'qemu-img create' to create overlay disks as required.
Note that the libvirt and UML backends were already doing this: The
libvirt backend because <transient/> has never worked, and the UML
backend was running uml_mkcow because the UML-equivalent syntax of

nls arguments
Hi all,
I've got a problem with the nls function.
I have an adjustment which works when I fix one of the argument of my
function (Xo=150) :
*Xo*=150
f<- function (tt*,Xo*,a,b) ifelse(tt<*Xo*,a*exp(-b**Xo*),a*exp(-b*tt))
ajust<-nls(RER~f(tt,*Xo*,a,b),data=data.frame(tt=Ph2[,2*k],RER=Ph2[,2*k+1]),start=list(a=0.5,b=0.014))
But, when I use it as a "normal" parameter (and
