Sip Registration Problem
Hi All, I had an unusual problem today; I'm sure it's a configuration problem. I had 2 phones behind a nat device and I had qualify=300 in both extensions config. The device I was talking to was an edgewater traffic shaper,/Sip Proxy. Since it is acting as a sip proxy, it was ignoring the OPTIONS messages that * was sending, and thus * interpreted that as the extensions being down. I

Share name and file rights
A question about share names: When we open a samba share, I want the symbol on my desktop to have the name "johndoe@sambaserver1", not just "johndoe". This is because we have a number of different "sambaservers" that johndoe can log on to, and it will be a mess on his desktop if he uses several connections at the same time. i cannot find this feature in the

Recommendations for QoS, PoE Switches
Hi all, For a top quality setup, I will need to install high quality VoIP switches with QoS and PoE. My potential customer should not have any problem with call quality. Experienced folks, Please advice me what switches to install and at what price. I may need it for upto 100 phones. What else should I consider so that phones work without problem along with the computers on the same network?

MOS Scores and LCR
Is there any tool that can do LCR for Asterisk but also take into account MOS scores? Is it possible to automatically generate MOS scores on random "calls" so as to keep an updated database on a per provider, per destination, per time-of-day score? Hopefully, with that information we can create a better LCR module or script? Thanks, Daniel

domain member problem
Hi... I've installed samba3 from source onto a SuSE 8.1 system... I didn't do anything special when compiled, just a regular ./configure; make; make install... Now I added the following to the smb.conf file... security = domain workgroup = tssi password server = orl-fps netbios name = testbed server string = testbed (Samba3 source) socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192

MSWord97 installs properly but still won't launch (or save?) -- 3 more data files
Dear friends: Forgot to include three more data files: http://www.websher.net/tmp/user.reg http://www.websher.net/tmp/system.reg http://www.websher.net/tmp/userdef.reg Thank you again. Benjamin I've been trying for some time to install my copy of Word97 (which I own, having purchased it directly from Microsoft with my own license number). I have tried the latest Wine 0.9.14. To do

Recommend against Teliax as primary ITSP
I really hate to have to make a post like this, but I feel I have little choice but to relay to the group my experience with Teliax, and explain why I recommend against using them as a primary Voip-> PSTN provider. I hope that a letter like this will inspire companies like Teliax to work harder at customer service, as well as circuit stability. We need more companies that offer the types of

Problems with OCFSTOOL after LUN Maintenance
In installing 10g\RAC we hit an issue that has been indentified as a bug with CRS where the cluster locking files cannot be implemented under OCFS. Supposedly they work fine when implemented as Raw Devices. We needed to reclaim some space from existing LUN's to create the raw devices as we had expected to able to put all Oracle related files under OCFS (Yes, we belived the hype). This

How to know the recordsize of a file
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I would like to know the blocksize of a particular file. I know the blocksize for a particular file is decided at creation time, in fuction of the write size done and the recordsize property of the dataset. How can I access that information?. addition of vendor dwarf operator extension.
Hello all, There is one enhancement request open for dwarfv5, http://dwarfstd.org/ShowIssue.php?issue=191107.1 The request is for addition of dwarf expression operator to swap the top of the dwarf stack, the response seems positive but it may take some time till v6. I like to add that operator as vendor extension but I am not sure how to go about it for llvm/lldb. Currently I am using it as

addition of vendor dwarf operator extension.
Hello, Thanks for prompt reply. Motivation, In case of debugging of bi-endian dwarf and value known at runtime some of the raw values needs to be byte swapped to change the endianity. We have a llvm based compiler which generates such dwarf, TAG_variable marked as big endian and debugging on little endian host using lldb. The listed operator on dwarf issues does that, one operator instead of

Indexing Mail faster
Hi, I am trying to get faster search results on our webmail client(Roundcube). Besides using Lucene for FTS are there other options? Would having all mails indexed give fast results? Currently the time it takes to search 25,000mails is 4mins. If indexed how much faster are we looking at? Really appreciate if someone could advise about this. Thanks Kevin
