quadbri + kernel 2.6.18.1
Hello, I have an Asterisk system with kernel 2.6.18.1 and one quadbri. I have installed the latest bristuff patches (0.3.0-PRE-1s). The system works fine, but when I do a "reboot", the system hangs unloading module "qozap". Is there any known problem with latest 2.6 kernels and qozap module? Thanks. -- Paco Brufal <pbrufal@servitux.es> ServiTux Servicios

200+ analog phones connected to FXS modules
I am trying to find out the best way to replace one of our hardware PBXs. It currently has 200+ analog phones connected to it. The idea is to take advantage of the already installed phone cables (big building) so I'm trying to avoid the use of ethernet adapters (if possible). However, I'm realizing that it's an expensive setup and will definitely require two or more cooperating

attended call transfer in 1.0.5
Hello, I downloaded asterisk 1.0.5, and the cvs version, and none of them has the attended transfer option (x and X). I see a patch here: http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0002460 but this patch doesn't applies well in cvs version or 1.0.5. How can I make attended transfers work? It's a feature really needed :( Thanks in advance :) -- Paco Brufal

Opus decoding performance on ARM devices
Hi, Thank you for your response. I pulled yesterday to commit da97db1ca1f92592af3534c9a2596da0e9a009ca, added a bunch of more defines to my compile options, and assembled & linked in armopts.s,celt_pitch_xcorr_arm.s. Performance jumped up from about 4.8 Mb/s to 5.3 Mb/s on the same device, so it is improvement. Not sure what other tweaks there would be to try, but if it could match the

Opus decoding performance on ARM devices
Hi everyone, I have lately been evaluating the performance of various audio decoders, particularly for ARM devices (Cortex A8 / A9). The context is audio playback in a game engine, and thus decoding performance is of particular interest. Looking at Opus versus Vorbis on a Cortex A9 smartphone, the numbers look approximately like this: Vorbis (tremolo decoder) 9.3 Mb PCM/s Opus (libopus 1.1)

Tidiest way of modifying S4 classes?
I wish to make modifications to the plot.pedigree function in the kinship package. My attempts to contact the maintainer have been unsuccessful, but my question is general, so specifics of the kinship package might not be an issue. My first attempt was to make a new function Plot.pedigree in the .GlobalEnv which mostly achieved what I wanted to. However, I'm sure that's not the tidiest

Default value for title in postscript function
I like the fact that the postscript function enables the possbiility of a more useful title than before. However, I'd prefer the default to be the file name. It's very simple for me to make my own postscript function that does just that simply by setting title = file. I always use onefile = TRUE, so it always works (so far). However, I'm a little reluctant to do that in case some

Time series analysis for a daily series
Hi everyone I am trying to do some time series analysis with daily temperature data (40 years). I have created a zoo object and ts object but can't apply stl function. It says the series is not periodic or has less than two periods. I've searched through google and found a lot of messages about this problem but not a solution/example to look for trend and seasonal component of a

Hello, I have a system with two cards: a HFC-PCI ISDN and a TDM21B (2 FXO and 1 FXS), running Asterisk 1.2.4-BRIstuffed-0.3.0-PRE-1l with freePBX beta5 dialplan. I have connected an analog phone to TDM FXS port, but when I pickup the phone to make a call, Asterisk "hangs up" the call. Let me explain: In another system, when I pickup the phone, Asterisk give me tone to dial: >---

choppy audio playback
Oh, wise Centaurs, On the last install (Suse) I was running on this old notebook (Dell i600m) the audio worked fine. Specifically, Realplayer and onsite players (like you get at NPR and other sites) and youtube played just fine. But with this current install (CentOS 5.3, fully updated) all of those sources just mentioned play choppy. It's like an echo so severe that it's impossible to

Asterisk to Linphone sound playback delay, and then choppy
Hi, I've got this PXA270 board set-up with Linphone 1.2.0 and am trying to get linphonec to work with Asterisk. I have the echo test working, but when I dial in to this, to voicemail or anything else using Playback() to play a sample, I hear nothing for ages (10-15 secs) and then little sections. With the echo test, I get the tail of the message (...pressing the pound

choppy playback
I'm having an issue with an asterisk install that anything recorded (in .gsm format) and all of the pre-recorded .gsm files are choppy. All calls into the asterisk box is fine and any voice mails left in a box are fine as well. It's just the playback of any recorded message and any of the pre-recorded files. Anyone have an idea what might be going on? The only problem is the playback of

recent Vorbis, sound quality problems
Hello all, I'm having some problems with the sound quality of recent Vorbis. There is some kind of metallic echo/tremolo effect in the lower frequencies. This is on my iMac; haven't seen this problem on x86. If you need a sample, I can put one up somewhere, or mail it to someone with a good ftp server, preferably. It could be caused by the iMac sound system doing surround sound, (Dolby

About clustering techniques
Hello R users It's some time I am playing with a dataset to do some cluster analysis. The data set consists of 14 columns being geographical coordinates and monthly temperatures in annual files latitutde - longitude - temperature 1 -..... - temperature 12 I have some missing values in some cases, maybe there are 8 monthly valid values at some points with four non valid. I don't want to
