Problem provisioning Cisco SPA303
Hello. I've got a Cisco SPA303 that I'm trying to provision via http. I noticed that this device looks very similar to a PAP2T, so I used that as a template for my provisioning file. However, the result is less than stellar. Line 1 registers and works. However, lines 2 and 3 also register as line 1, effectively giving me a 1-line phone with 3 buttons. Also, the line name is the

sip ata's
Hello. I have a linux and two sip-ata's, a sipura 2002 and a GS ht-386. I also have three sipphone numbers. I can connect the atas to the sipphone accounts and I get a dial tone and I can call my house and it says, "Thank you for using SipPhone..." Using asterisk, I have the ata's registering to my computer and I register two sipphone numbers with my computer. When I

ATA's ???
Phil I have very good experience with the vegasteam ATA's devices.(you might also want to look @ sipura ATA's, since vegastream is doing an oem on there boxes) They support modem until v.90 speeds and faxes for g3. They are expensive, and again, work great and configure very easy joash ________________________________ From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com

ATA's and faxing
Hi All Is there any special configuration needed to send and receive faxes on an ATA device? I am using G711.a with a Grandstream Handytone 486. I can send faxes from a fax machine on the ATA, but receiving doesn't work. I get the fax signal, but it just doesn't continue. The LAN is used purely for VoIP traffic. Garth

Adjusting frequency asterisk sends NOTIFY's to ATA's at for MWI.
I'm trying to figure out how Asterisk decides how often it will send SIP NOTIFY's to an ATA when a voicemail message is waiting for the user on the server. >From watching, it seems to be completely random. Sometimes 10 seconds apart, then 33 seconds, then 13 seconds, etc. Each time causes a "ring" on the ATA. I can change the ATA's behavior, but what I'd really

Using Asterisk to better detect hangups when using ATA'S or Analog Gateways'
I wanted to get everyone's opinion on an issue I am having. I am currently using linksys PAP2NA ATA adapters to terminate analog calls from my auto dialer to the voip termination co. The problem I have is when I call the PSTN everything goes fine until the person being called hangs up the phone. Once they hang up on the PSTN side it takes almost 15-20 Seconds for the ata to see the

Newbie Q: Good link to configuring NAT with Sipura ATA's & hardphones
In trying to get my services up and running, I've encountered the usual spate of first-time issues. I was wondering if there was a good FAQ or Howto on troubleshooting NAT issues. The equipment that I'm using is typically a Sipura ATA or hardphone (SPA-942) sitting behind either a Linux box as firewall (using IPtables and Arno's firewall) or else a Cisco IOS device running 12.4T

ATA's
Hi, Has anyone had any luck using modems on ata's other than with Cisco ATA-188's? I really don't have the money pay for the 188's as this is for my personal use. PA1688 Chipset IP Phones & ATA's
For those of you who may be interest.... IAX2 loads are now available for the standard builds... http://www.aredfox.com/edownloadsiax2.htm Just a word of caution... Remember to change the ports over to 4569 from whatever. And don't forget to grab the palmtool from http://www.aredfox.com/download/tools/PalmTool.zip My own testing of IAX2 with both a phone and an ATA is that IAX2 is

upgraded source now ata's ring but stop silence on inbound calls
I was doing a daily make update for asterisk. On the 19th the new version compiled fine. I installed it. All of my ata 186's can call out to pstn etc. All inbound calls, the phones ring but when you pickup, just silence both local and remote with no complaints in the cli. I backed down to the r 1.0 1.0.3 on the 20th CVS-v1-0-12/20/04-18:24:52 it worked ok. Yesterday I did a cvs update on the

SIP ATA's as "house" phones
I've done a bit of searching and haven't found any good reference for this, so I figured I would ask the group next. Being new to Asterisk, we've been sucessful in figuring out most configuration items, however we're stuck on one thing... Using recent Asterisk stable, we have a situation where I have an analog door phone which, when the button is pushed, simply off hooks the line

[PATCH 00/20] Switch to ELF modules
From: Matt Fleming <matt.fleming at linux.intel.com> This series fixes some bugs and switches the elflink branch to be entirely ELF modules. It applies on top of, http://syslinux.zytor.com/archives/2011-April/016369.html The deletions in the diff stat below are mainly from deleting com32/elflink/modules (finally!). Now there should be no duplicate code because we don't need COM32 and

T.38 fax between ATA's and Asterisk and Cisco PGW 2200
To provide a reliable fax solution for users connected to a Asterisk 1.6.2.6 server i have tested a few T.38 capable ATA's: - Patton M-ATA - Grandstream HandyTone 486 - Fritz!Box 7170 I have tried Asterisk 1.6.2.6 compiled with SpanDSP-0.0.6pre17 and also Asterisk 1.6.2.6 with Fax for Asterisk installed. These Asterisk servers are connected to a Cisco PGW 2200 + AS5400XM. Sending fax
